  • This video shows how to access and remove the blower control module
and how to repair/replace the power MOSFET. This can be more cost effective than replacing the unit with an after-market module or buying a used one.
The most common faults are caused by condensation attacking the PCB and the Power MOSFET going short-circuit permanently energizing the fan motor even with the key out of the ignition.
    Update 2023
It appears there are least two types of Blower Resistor fitted in Hummers.
GM 19331830 is the one in this video and has a "flying" motor cable and a 3-pin connector.
GM 19329838 has a single 5-Pin connector and is usually supplied with a cable that needs to be spliced in to main harness if replacing GM 19331830
However It doeen't look easy to put GM 19331830 in GM 19329838 vehicle
The good news is they are available on eBay and Amazon for under $40

Chevy Suburban uses the same blower. Use one of those.

Thank you for the update. If you google "IRFBA1405P Buy" you will most likely find some on eBay, for example:-

      Hope you find some 🤞

How you discount the blower itself ? No showing that on the video.

      Dismount

@@antoniotablada9193 Thank you for your comment. You are correct, that simple step is missing, however at 2:12 you can see the blower fan and to the right of it you can see the orange tab of connector with black + red wires. At 7:46 you can see its location and the commplete connector is shown at 8:33, here you can see the tab you need to press in to release, its really easy to do.
If though the blower won't stop and you need to cut the power, remove the large green Blower 40A fuse at the far edge of the under the hood box, there's and empty slot just in front of it. Hope this helps.

Sorry I mis-read your comment, I now read "dismount". There are 3 self-tapping screws holding the motor assembly, at 3:00 you can see two of it's fixing lugs, at 3:14 you can see the 3rd. TBH it's so easy to remove I never thought to cover this. Again hope this helps.

All this work being done on the components and a new fan and resister costs about 40 bucks....smh....
