Bike Touring Across Japan 🇯🇵 #1

- Today I start my journey across Japan. I picked up where I left off last year when I flew back to Japan with my bike and rode from Haneda Airport to Gunma prefecture. I'm starting in Gunma and I'll be riding all the way to Kyushu.
The first goal is to make it up Mount Haruna in Gunma prefecture. It's a TOUGH climb though, our steepest incline hit 15.8%! We of course made it and enjoyed two delicious dinners as our reward.
Along the way, we stopped at a Kofun period ruins site along with a few other beautiful nature spots.

Looks like an amazing adventure. Gotta say, I was shocked to see Tabasco on that restaurant table
Oh you can find that all over Japan actually, they love it
Good to see you back in Japan.
Katsu Kare was one of my go to meals when cycling in Japan. My last trip was in 2017 and I was sixty seven years old. It was cycle trip number seven with three backpack/shinkansen trips before that. Would like one more trip through the centre of Southern Honshu and centre of Kyushu. Damn there are so many routes you can take in Japan, not enough time.
Love the katsu kare for sure. Heading to Kyushu, having that problem of figuring out which path to go...
That lawn mower ride is so cute!
The scenery near that lake is beautiful, I’m glad you made it out alive!
Thank you very much for sharing, and I look forward to riding a bicycle with you one day! 👍🤩👌
P. S. The first season of Shōgun, the recently popular American Fox series, has been aired.
It is the story of Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Edo period. Originally, the original series only had one season.
Due to the good ratings, it may be filmed for a second season!
I have finished watching it, and I recommend you watch it when you have time!
Oh nice! I’ll have to check it out when I have time! Sounds like I’d like it
@@NickKTravel Yes, I think so! Take good care! Happy travels! 👍🥰🙏

Hi Nick…good to see you have a biking buddy 💚 The lake looks peaceful and yes I’ve heard about different myths swimming in the lakes. Yummy 🇯🇵 foods
