- Today I want to share one of my favorite shop projects that I actually made 6 years ago! It's an extremely useful wood and leather tote that I constantly use around the workshop. Let's go over how to make one.

6 year old project for the win :) Love this one. Anyone else like to mix wood and leather in projects?
Yesterday's Livestream was all about incorporating wood and leather in projects: ruclips.net/user/liveNG7I-RX7sak
Pick up a mineral oil wax polish here: www.darbinorvar.com/products-waxes/cutting-board-mineral-oil-beeswax-polish (works great for finishing both wood AND leather)
I loved the format of that show too, running the video in the right-side frame and commenting on it, and reacting to the chat channel, it worked perfect 👍
SIMPLE and NICE

Great project, only a few tools and quickly done ! Makes me want to start leather working (already a hobby woodworker) . I’ll check your other videos to find a project needing smaller pieces of leather (I have a stock to be reused). Thanks 😊
I’ve been wanting to build a wood/leather purse for a little while now…waiting till I move closer to my brother before starting because I want to make them with/for my nieces
Hi Darbin,truly inspiring project.
I like sewing and woodworking.
There is a heavy duty choudry like the Tent materials.they are sturdy. I will try instead of leather.Leather is expensive.
I noticed your live stream on wood and leather on my feed and will watch it when I have an hour to spare. I watched this because it was short. Glad I did. Reducing the weight of the traditional tool tote is a great idea, Linn!
Really beautiful work, Linn! Fantastic looking tool tote! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I once build a tote like that for a rogue larp character afew years ago. But I used leatherscraps and pieces of fur glued and riveted together. Today i use it for garden tools. Greetings from Germany
Really nice piece of work.
My father used to make similar things using conveyor belting instead of leather.
Very practical and very useful.
