That was an X-ray of a patient that had an open reduction internal fixation which means that he had probably injured that bone and they had to put screws to put the bones back together, it wasn't clear in the video so I couldn't really determine the bone part.
8:45 I have similar: I broke my elbow, and there is a titanium plate and screws holding the bones together. when I saw the x-ray, I told the surgeon, "I'm all screwed up."
This place is crazy. All the documents are details of people's lives who were left by their families in this facility. As a person who works with children with special needs, it is so hard to think about the barbaric conditions that these kids were subjected to before our current advances in understanding people with challenges. Thanks for showing this so people dont forget and regress in their ideals of proper treatments.

The x-rays are as follows. first is of the skull of a male who had a frontal lobotomy, the second skull is a side view of the first skull and the blank are that you were commenting on was the part of the skull and brain that was excised due to the frontal lobotomy and the third xray was of someone lunges that looked to be rittled with Tuberculosis.
I wish he looked at more of the papers😩 that's what I love seeing

Josh, Not sure if you will answer this but I do love how you will give the history of these places that you are exploring and it makes it much more interesting than just some old abandoned building.
I noticed that others talk about how they can not hear you through the mask which is needed for whatever could be in those buildings, but have you thought about posting the history in the RUclips section or a link to a document on a sharing site that people could access to view?

Great video, btw, the x-ray side view of the skull, we all have a cavity in our forehead/eyebrow area. For some it's bigger, some - smaller.

X-ray student here.
That "gash" they were talking about on the lateral skull film is just the patient's frontal sinuses. They are air filled so therefore show up lucent or "lit up" as they said. Completely normal. The backlighting was not good enough to see the rest of the film though.
That was a fixation device for a fracture. Can't tell what body part it is though. They still look like that today.
That chest x-ray showed some pretty sick lungs. Sick as in ill not cool.

That looks like a metal plate used to repair broken limbs, in that x Ray, I can’t tell from the video if it’s arms or legs, I grew up looking at x rays with my grandpa who was a radiologist, As well as studying forensic anthropology myself. I love that sort of stuff

I totally understand needing to wear the respirator (and I encourage it!) but when you wear it, you should film you intro outside without it, or put captions or something, it's really hard to understand you when it's on. It was easier when you were behind the camera and closer to the mic but when you're a few feet away, it definitely muffles all the world.

Hey josh! Have you ever gone to glen dale Maryland ? It's was used as a tuberculosis center, it was closed in 1981 due to abestos. It has 23 building including, children ward, Morgue and even nurses housing. When I first went the only opening that I found was the morgue, which is incredible. I also found plenty of roof too gardens and out door pathways connecting from one building to another.
Josh you have inspired and helped me find my future hobby/job. 28th each video you post I write down notes so in the future I'll know the best places to explore. Thank you for the inspiration and keep up the good work.

I was wondering if you could start adding captions to your videos? Especially when you have the mask on. It can be quite hard to hear what your saying especially those who can't hear very well. The auto generated captions work sometimes but not all the time

Great vid, I've always wanted to do things like that but in always scared I'm gonna get caught or walk in at the wrong time. But I'm glad you post videos like this so I could experience all of these places without putting myself at risk!
That would be the patient's frontal sinus on the lateral (side view) of the skull. I can't tell if that is the femur or humerus on the second picture but that is a surgical plate implant. The patient seriously fractured their humerus or femur. Those implants are used to help stabilize the broken bone until the body can heal and handle the fracture on its own.
The Tunnels is for caring the died so that they do not have to scare the people that are there, We learned about it in 4th grade.

Josh, That xray thing is of some orthopedic hardware. generally used after surgery to help a bone heal

The sort of hole shown on the x-rays looks like the aftermath of a lobotomy, where they go through the eye socket with a picket, without anesthetics, to separate two parts of the brain to treat insanity.

Josh!!! u guys need to team up with a team of folks to scan all these old docs u find. they have high speed scanners now and u could deploy solar power.
In the x ray you showed those are metal plates and screws that are usually put in people's hips or knees to help keep your bones in place
The X-ray looks more like the person has had a poet put into the top of their femur. Possibly if they've fractured their hip. The screws are there there to keep the plate in place which is holding the break together. If it went through the neck of femur it would have a bigger screw going diagonally up at the top. I didn't get a great view though I had my 6 month old rolling about on me

The one before the xray of the lungs is a splint in someone's arm or leg I think and the break looks pretty old in that x-ray and looks cool
The X ray that appeared to have screws is just that. I have 4 screws and a plate in my ankle, the X ray from that is very similar.

The best orb, undeniable, comes from the top left @:54 and goes right into Josh. You can see it leave his right shoulder @1:05 and move to the bottom left. Sorry Josh, someone has to tell you, but no worrys. It's harmless.
