The "Kid" room (if this is anything like our old catholic church) is known as the "cry" room. We would take our children there if loud or crying to not interrupt the mass going on. And usually the rooms behind the altar are the priests robe quarters and the servers quarters. We prepared our dressing of the robes and prepared the bread and wine for communion there.

the church near me also has a room for kids to go and they can do things like colour in while mass is going on because they get bored and restless, I guess its quite similar to being babysat haha, but yeh you're 100% right :)

It makes sense to me alright, my original comment was about how they instantly just went to film the "dead body", I found it pretty insensitive and stupid tbh and can't imagine a decent person actually wanting to film a dead guy.

i went to explore an abandoned paper fabric the other day. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I'm in love with exploring, it's beautiful. I saw so many old things, all those things had a story and I kept thinking about that. I hope I can do the same as you do one day

some special pipe organs today can still be operated without electricity, but they require a second person to operate the bellows. there are giant levers that have to be continuously pushed down to maintain a constant air pressure in the windchest.

Amazing video and photos. It makes me so sad to see that people are willing to defile places of worship as well as to see such stunning gothic churches closed and literally rotting away😔. I'm not even religious and it hurts my heart to see abandoned places. What's worse is the surprise in your voice that the stain glass windows haven't been shattered. Who would even think to shatter such meticulously made stained glass? Apparently many if Josh is so surprise it's still there. Humanity at times makes me sick.

The one thing I always wonder about abandoned places is like, why they were abandoned, when it was abandoned, was there an accident that made them abandoned, the background of it, why they weren't rebuilt or knocked down etc.
Josh, please tell me that at exactly 8 minutes in, there's a friend of yours directly in front of you (about 15-20ft) walking towards the door? Because there's definitely someone walking towards the door. The only reason this concerns me, and urged me to bring this to your attention, is because the figure that's walking, is completely black. Like, blacker than black, from head to toe. Like, a complete black shadow that's in the shape of a person. I would think that if it was a person, you'd see color, you'd see clothes, you'd see detail. Plus, it's bright enough in there to illuminate oneself. Also, unless I just can't see it, the person walking doesn't cast a shadow.

It is! It's eerie because a pure black figure such as the one that we see in the video, is often associated with demonic entities. At least that's what my research and experience concluded. It's even creepier that it's in a Cathedral, that said, I hope it was just one of his friends.

If you pause it at 8:02 you can see the camera tripod set up just to the left of where the crack showing daylight is in front of the big front doors in the entryway. Cody or John's legs are standing on the right side of the tripod & the right entry door is behind them.
Great video of that old church. I love the feeling of “peace/stillness” you feel in old buildings, especially churches. I grew up in Scotland and there’s so many old places there. Excellent videos thanks for uploading them.

Explored an abandoned farm out in the middle of the Canadian prairies recently, and I definitely thought about whether or not I would find a dead body or something. Someone had hung the remnants of a scarecrow from the rafters in the workshop, it scared the shit out of me.

You're actually correct Josh. When I explored an abandoned hotel, It was creepy. I could think about nothing but anxious and worried as hell if I'd see a dead body or a homeless guy waiting there with a knife ready to carve me up. It was fucking scary.

It's melancholy to see the ending of an architects masterpiece. The old church has seen many sermons, weddings and christenings. One day only memories and photos will exist. Unless, somebody salvages some of the moldings and artifacts.
