Thanks for posting this video! This game was really special to me! It was my first Iron Bowl, my first year marching in the Million Dollar Band, and the first time Bama won the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa! I'll never forget how excited we were playing Rammer Jammer at the end of the game and Dr. Ozzello let us play it six times(1 for each year Auburn beat us). I think each time he motioned for us to continue playing the crowd got louder. I could literally feel Bryant-Denny shaking under my feet. An experience like none other, and a memory to last a lifetime! Roll Tide Roll! :)

Wish I was there but I was in Phoenix City with mostly Auburn fans was soooo happy I sadly didn’t know about Rammer Jammer until I was in high school or just out of high school now it’s a must after every win I was 13 and I was 15 when we last (Only Time In Saban Era) lost in Tuscaloosa in the Scamback.

I just watched all of 2008 season! What a beautiful way to cap the season by shutting out aubarn! What a glorious rebirth of our team that year! A dynasty was born and we didn’t even know it. Saban would prove over the next many years what a true genius he was and is. And we didn’t even know it. We were like fresh yunglings awakening from a long, dark nightmare to a whole new world, way of thinking and feeling, of being brand new Alabama fans for the first time. And it was just the beginning, and we didn’t even know it. ROLL TIDE ROLL‼️🏈🐘🐐🌊🏆👏❤️‼️

i was there my 1st iron bowl i ever went to after my whole life b4 that watching it on tv. this was 2008 i was 18 Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!!!
The perfect way to end Auburn and Tommy Tuberville's winning streak was to do exactly what we did - shut them out and blow them out. 36-0! That season was reestablishing our dominance in our division, and the next year was reestablishing our dominance in our conference. Though we came up short against Florida the next week that year, we came back the next year, didn't lose a game and beat them for Saban's first national championship at Bama.
Man dude I swear it's like waking up on Christmas day with you Heath!!! I really appreciate you putting this up to watch. This was a very important iron bowl for me. For one, we hadn't beaten them in 6 years...and for 2 this was the day my daughter was born!! That's ow I knew we were gonna win...thank you so much brother!! RTR!!!

There's little that compares to how I felt when we ran the ball down Awe-burn's throat all night, and erased that sad, six year drought. no problem man, keep looking out, I have 3 TB worth of stuff to upload before its said and done with. Do you have the 2008 Ole Miss game ? I remember that was a terrific ball game that Bama won in the final seconds. Also the 2007 Tennessee game was a great one.
Looking forward (As long as neither team is affected by covid) to the 2020 Iron Bowl this Saturday. The chemistry that was present Verne Lundquist was with Gary Danielson, just isn't there with Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson.

The game that got Tuberville fires many of the 6 game loosing streak there were speculations had we won that he would’ve gotten fired and in 2008 we won and he did. I was with relatives mostly Auburn fans in Phoenix City and was so happy we won the first time in 6 years I was 6 when we won in 01 and 13 when we won in 2008. I was pissed when we lost to Florida and Utah. My mom is a Florida fan and she called and bragged after the game next year 09 we won I call her 50 something times and the last time she turned her phone off on me and went straight to voicemail I was like oh I see how it is lol.

In today's game, at 31:19 would be a pass interference, since they changed the rules and don't allow the dbs to play coverage anymore so the offense can score many, many points, especially if Matt Laufler's crew is officiating. I don't like that at all.
This game is the very first time Bama actually beat Auburn in Tuscaloosa. Incredibly, the first three times the series was played there (1895, 1901, and 2000) were Auburn shutouts.
I could have sworn there was one other time where it randomly was played in Tuscaloosa. I remember hearing this was the 2nd at the time, but maybe I’m wrong.
This game marked the end of an amazing and fun chapter of Auburn football. When I was young, it was always common to beat Alabama, and be inside the top 10. Since then, it's been a rarity of beating Alabama, and constant mediocrity under Chizik, and now Malzahn. I want my 2000s Tigers back! It was a HUGE mistake for Jay Jacobs to let Tuberville go. He pretty much owned Alabama. One losing season and he's gone. Now I'm glad Jacobs is gone. He ruined Auburn football.

As long as they won the Iron Bowl, that's all that matters to Barners. Not beating their other SEC opponents, or winning their division title, conference title, or a national championship. Just beating Bama is all. When played at Jordan Hare, they'd storm the field if they hadn't won a game but won the Iron Bowl.

Without recruiting sanctions on Alabama, Auburn doesn't win like they did in the early 2000s. Straight up. Now things are the way they always have been.
