Yep, that was a problem that Auburn had then, and now. No matter how you worked it - during the tenure of the (then) current coaches, during that decade, during this century, or all time - Bama has more wins, more SEC Championships, and more National Championships than Auburn has.

Bama is so much bigger historically in the legend of college football than Auburn. I went to high school in Selma but now live in Los Angeles. People out here are lost in space on a lot of levels but when it comes to college football, they all know who Alabama is and many have little clue who Auburn is. Just saying .................... Auburn has had better seasons a lot, more than Bama. The reason Alabama has 9 (not 15, idiots) national titles, is because the BCS and AP polls has always been in love with Alabama. No one noticed Auburn when we did good.

The 2012-13 season must have been a huge comedown for AU fans once Cam Newton left for the league.
He was 2010-2011, 2011-2012 Auburn went 8-5 without some big 20+ point losses.
What a difference a year made. AU fell apart early every game in the season post-Cam.

these last ten years have been utterly hell for auburn and while the alabama crimson tide got to sit on the throne like gods,this isn't fair,this is a nightmare. lets go back to the 2010 college football season. well cam newton and company was running the table and that years ironbowl came and at the halfime alabama had a 20 point something lead and after halftime cam newton lead a comeback,a camback if you will and auburn wins 29 to 27 over alabama and i go to bed and have the most awesome dream that the years was 2020 and alabam had not beat auburn since 2010 and alabama loses the 2020 ironbowl and then a year later 2021 the state of alabama took a vote and auburn wins the vote and all of the alabam fans are forced to say war eagle and anything alabama crismon tide related is buried,burned and forgotten and the irobowl ceased to exist and tuscaloosca became a north auburn and auburn became a south auburn and we even changed the name of the state of alabama to the state of alabama to the state of auburn all you head up and down the state and we even changed the state flag from a red x on a white background to a orange and blue a.u logo flag and none of you alabama fans couldn't stop it from happening or so it seemed because the very next day i wake up from my most awesomest dream to the worst possible news ever that a evil demon from hell basically tuscaloosca named harvey updyke had poisoned toomers corner and that was the day that my dream died and the next thing i know auburn is suffering in firey pits of hell and while alabama gets to see championship gold and sit on the throne like gods,this just isn't fair because these last ten years its gotten so bad for me that i have been throwing things at my wall and turning my table over i,loss after loss after loss after loss and while alabama get the gold,this just isn't fair,my dream was gonna come true but no harvey updyke couldn't face it and so he caused auburn downfall and i will never forgive for what he did and when he died back in 2021 i was happy and i partied and cheered that he died,it was the best day ever and the curse should have died with him but no it still persists and i am so sick and tired of it,harvey updyke said it himself when he called into the paul finebaum show that he wasn't sorry nor did he care and you wonder why i hate him so much and the alabama crismon tide,it's all his fault like i said i will never forgive him and people as me if i''m ok no i am not ok,i'm not feeling well not mentally nor physically i can't take this anymore. wtf wtf wtf did auburn ever do to deserve this punishment? tell me why? why why why just why?

They barely beat (and should have lost) a Georgia team that was 4-2 in SEC play prior to that game, so what makes them think they'd stand a chance against FSU? I don't know about Colorado St. giving Alabama trouble, but Mississippi St. always gives Alabama trouble. The score may say 20-7 but it's a hard 20. We dominated everyone except Texas A&M, Auburn, and Oklahoma. Though, not making any excuses, I don't think Alabama played at even 70% percent against them, I believe we was just heart broken.
I'm an Alabama fan, but most importantly an SEC fan. If Auburn goes to the NCS or a bowl game, I always vote for them.

Well for one, one of the assistants that mainly got the recruits from Mobile is now with Florida State (hence the swap Demarcus Walker had from UA-FSU..). Secondly, does it matter who commits to Auburn right now? History tells us that all they will do is end up giving Auburn the finger and then swap their commitment to Alabama. Don't put too much stock into it.
