I’m so glad I subscribed when I did about a year or so ago because when I got to move out of my parents home after graduating high school I was inspired by a lot of things you (Matt) have put out on your RUclips channel! Both homes were actually similar when you really take a closer look. Both had furniture and accessories that were well appointed and properly placed in accordance with the space provided. Neither was cluttered or “hoardish”..... Both homes were quite balanced actually.

When you mentioned the cleaners taking care of the home, I laughed because whenever I see large homes I always think of how much cleaning is involved. I live with 2 other people so we have a "3 of everything" rule, specifically the kitchen crockery and cutlery. 3 forks, 3 knives, 3 spoons, 3 plates, 3 bowls, 3 glasses, 3 mugs. This way the dishes don't pile up because you need to re-use a dish by washing it, rather than getting a clean one out of the cupboard. We have extra crockery and cutlery in the storage cupboard for when hosting a dinner party so they stay out of sight until then. This reduces the visual clutter.

The great thing about being a minimalist is that he just showed us his WHOLE apartment (even including cabinets, drawers and closets lol) and it was only a couple of minutes! If an average person did that it would take hours 😂 😂 😂
