Minimalism isn’t having nothing, it’s about only having things that have purpose and are useful. Each thing he has was bought purposefully and he doesn’t own anything that isn’t used on, most likely, a weekly basis at most. Minimalism is about being mindful too. When we have less, we stress less.
It's kinda laughable that someone with a vinyl record player calls themselves a minimalist. The kitchen tho! Tidy and yet the one place where tools are needed if you like to cook from base ingredients.

Hey Eric just a tip. Don’t stack your vinyl records like that. The weight of the records could deform the grooves in the disk and the music will sound distorted. Learned that the hard way. @@lukehomestead The grooves inside the record hold the bumps where the music comes from. Keeping them stacked means the bottom ones might get crushed under the weight. If you keep them up right there's no weight on them
Hay I have stored mine for many many years on top of each other.neve had a problem. Records are stronger and hold up much better then cds.not telling my age lol but I have been colecting sence the 60's.
tip: milk shouldn't be placed on the fridge door; it's the place with the most variable temperature, due to the fact that we open it to access the contents. Therefore, it's best to keep milk elsewhere, in order to maintain its quality for longer
i consider myself minimalist since i started decluttering over 2 years ago and still frequently donate things i dont use or love. but i have way more things. like holiday decorations in the bassement and art projects that my kids made. i keep everything in bins and labeled so i am organized but still this is so extreme to me. minimalism does look different to everyone but i think making sure everything you have serves a purpose and can be put away is important.
Good video. Couple suggestions after watching a lot of designing videos: the wall art should be 2/3 length of sofa if its two pieces they should be spaced closer together. Rug should be large enough to be placed partly under the sofa. Rug is a bit small for the setting. Favorite thing was the sofa. Great color choice!

You want to encourage conversation in the living room so you forgo the tv, but having a tv in the bedroom is not the greatest idea. It can mess with your bedtime routines & have a negative impact you your sleep. Also I'm sure you two can come up with better things to do in a bedroom....

But if you have a good job which obviously he does than the price is really not that bad, the tech and healthcare industry in CA pays well.
