- This was my first crash of TREX600 Nitro Pro RC helicopter. and I was happy lol that it wasn't too bad, I fixed it pretty quick.
Align TREX600 Nitro pro 3D RC Helicopter flight video. Have fun
#align #helicopter #TREX600
It's really useful that you so openly show your crashes and go through a crash examination and diagnostics. VERY useful to see. Thanks for posting this and all your other vids.
Listen, Ali is here to help us with our Heli Hobby.. All of you people who have a problem PLEASE STAY OFF HIS CHANNEL! Some of us enjoy his videos and I for one learn alot! GO HATE SOME WHERE ELSE! I can't believe some of you criticize him. So if he talks in a certain way and you don't like it get lost! That is the best way to learn! Keep up the good work Ali!!
Great pilot, great photography! I don't see how those helis stay together as long as they do! Remarkable landing, saved the heli from further damage, you rock man!
These videos are amazing..im just getting into rc helicopters and had no idea they had these capabilities.
You showed that copter no mercy. You got your money's worth.
@alishanmao, I have watched you for almost 2 yrs now, you are really improving. We all learn something everyday. Keep on flyin' bro.
ali i've seen a lot of your videos mostly rc cars, but i didn't know you flew helis, your'e really good bro im impressed.
It always sucks to pop your first crash cherry. It happens to us all at some point . Keep up the great work Ali.
A tear dropped from my eye when I saw this :'(
The helicopter handled the crash well. I would have figured at least one shaft. Quick thinking on your part obviously saved most of it.
Bryan
That was a textbook landing!! Tail touch, inverted piro-auto landing! Very hard to do! good flying
Excellent video. You have a very positive outlook. I like how you assessed the damage and didn't let it upset you. You just took it as a learning experience and moved on. Life isn't as hard when you can have this kind of attitude about things. Kudos to you my friend!
Ali you are awesome bro. I watch your vids every evening after work. I just purchased an align 500 EFL. . Also I'm flying my Phoenix and getting pretty good. Thanks for your vids very cool.
That wasn't at all that bad. You got very lucky Ali! I recently crashed my swift upside down at full throttle into a big elm tree trying to do some tick tocks and it cost more to fix than buying a new airframe! Lesson learned, don't try tick tocks too low to the ground when you are a newbee!
J
Very impressive flying. Sorry to see it crash but your still a great pilot.
As I have said before, I love the positivity you have...fly on brother!
Dude you're a great pilot!
I'd love to fly with you some day.
Hi Ali, your videos are one of the reasons I started chasing bigger and better helicopters - i've just finished uploading my first real crash too, in the hope that people see what not to do!
Yea, actually either nitro or electric crash procedures would be helpful, obviously it would have been a lot worse had you not had the proper training and experience. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge! :D
bravo bravo alishanmao,
cavolo io mi metto a piangere se dovessi schiantare il trex,e mi succedera sicuramente
i see you are bringing out the nitros again after all those electrics :D
Aww... you learn to hate the sound of a crashing heli!
You were lucky though, hope to see it flyging again soon! :)
Take care!
@alishanmao Yeah and he was only flying a 450 size, imagine what a 600 size could have done. My grandfather told me once, He said. "Son learn from the mistakes of others, because you surely will not live long enough to make them all yourself." So yeah after watching a man bleed to death with his head almost chopped off I gained a new respect for RC helicopters. In the future when you lose tail control, hit the throttle hold switch & it will stop spinning on you and allow you to autorotate safely
great video...it actually gives us a damage report instead of of just switching the video off after the crash....
Wow! I know that must have been tough to deal with mentally! Appreciate you putting this one up. Wish I had your attitude when that happens to me.. Thanks brother!
You are lucky that you can get the parts so cheaply in China, in Australia those parts cost heaps. Anyway crashing is just part of the sport / hobby, every crash should be a learning experience. I know will be flying the 600 again soon.
@alishanmao Yeah I agree... Yeah in the case of your 600 crash you didn't have time to even blink let alone throw a switch. You did the right thing by putting it in quickly. But from the looks of the heli it will fly again... Nice to see your skill level coming up...
All in a day of flying!! You know the old saying"you learn from your mistakes"!! Anyways I sure hate to see anyone crash, but atleast it's repairable.
Wow, very little damage for such an impressive crash, good stuff. :-)
I have an idea, could you teach us people - that don't know - nitro heli crash procedures? Thank you for all the other great videos!
Lol, you really have some guts to fly over the water like that.
And Another one bites the dust ! Hope it dont cost you a big pile to get her up and flying again best of luck you seem like a good pilot too!
Throttle Hold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice stack
Unlucky mate! These things happen. I think a lot of people were interested in the crash, you got loads of views already! ;)
UGH! I hated seeing that! Great flight right up till you tapped that tail lol
Funny - I just bought a Tarot Pro 450 and thought the same thing with the sound! I was intimidated on my first hover try and crashed, resulting in broken main rotor blades, 1 tail blade and cracked my skid on the left side. It was different than the sim in the fact that I could see and feel the power from it. Gotta just take her slow n easy...
ooh it is good pilot Ali, he manage to switch to the normal flight (Or throttle cut)that control the engine to slow down, minor breakage i can see, compare to the what it should be if this happen in not is control minds pilot.. salute
nice flying, I like the way to talk.
you were lucky is a really scary machine out of control , i thought the tail blades braked or maybe the servo arm but i was surprised to see the shaft teared maybe if it were belt driven it will be alive LOL
great flying i just got a 6ch heli and crash it 2 times this week but its a learing game and i hope to fly it like this one day
Nice save.
you're videos are great Ali all hail..
I lost a tail-rotor drive before on a old Kyosho Cocept 30 nitro (it had a wire drive & it slipped out of the slot) I hit throttle hold & the rotations of the body stopped & I landed it fine.
I wasn't doing 3-D like you were & didn't strike the tail blades, I thought your's would have reduced the body spin a little better than what I saw.
I did also notice like you did that the head speed was too slow, really sluggish on your first collective up & down. Good semi-save though.
wow, lucky you man, that was a dangerous crash, losing the tail control is horrible.
Get well son to your bird
hi beautiful video everybody in the hobby crash by the way my son and i we love your videos, we are big fans of you, have a good day my friend
Maybe its just me but it look like you did some corrective mad cyclic on the way down, and up and until the last second you were doing pretty good. If that was the case your reaction time is stunning! I hope to be able to do crazy stuff like that in the near future. I'm still looking for a safer place to fly where I'm not worried about damaging other peoples properties. I've pretty much given up on not crashing my heli, Id prefer to make sure nobody gets hurt when I mess up though. :)
Not just Goblin 700 has speed Other good options are Trex 700 , Raptor 90 g4 fbl, Avant Aurora fbl, Rave 90 fbl , Synergy N9 and Synergy E7 are other great "fast" choices and many of these are much easier on your wallet than an over priced Goblin.
damn great flying bro and im sure you know it by now that even the best crash once and a while ESPECIALLY helli pilots. i havent flew anything more than a fixed pitch 4 ch heli and gave that up last year because i couldnt afford parts to keep going, i hope one day i can get back into heli flying, but there is no doubt in my mind that its the most difficult of rc vehicles to operate.
No that's why I call a SKILLED PILOT!
=)
please say "boss boss the plane the plane boss" great flying btw!
@flightoftheunknown that was really rude, but quite funny. Ali you are awesome and your videos are really fun and full of useful info. Keep up the good work! Bad luck on the crash but you did well to minimise the damage. :)
Ali Shan rules.
Sweet! NO FEAR! get that bird back up and toss it around some!!! :0). great vid..
Glad it didn't go the other direction into the water... :)
Buy a Blade 450x or a Raptor 50, In my opinion i would go with the Raptor simply because its bigger meaning its much more stable and easier to fly than a 450 and since its fuel powered you can just keep putting fuel in. Also Check out runryder you can find all sorts of helis in the classifieds on their for a real bargain. If you do decide to go for the bigger heli make sure to fly it at your local flying field lots of great guys at the flying fields that would probably gladly help you
Finally a good video!
When I crashed my flybar Outrage 550, I took the opportunity to remount it in FBL with micro BeastX... I see that it's the same for your 600. A crash is never nice but in this case it will be positive ;)
Crashing is part of the hobby and if you do crash make it look like you meant to do it
Choppers Als experience " ground resonance" Leaving the craft in tiny pieces.
nice skills mate!!!
Nice crash. You are excelent pilot. You can be proud of it :-).
@gmummy Well the 1st thing you want to do and this is ONLY if you are positive your going to crash. 1. Hit the throttle cut switch. If the tail is spinning wildly it will stop spinning. 2. Neutralize collective, if you have enough altitude to sacrifice you can perform an autorotation. 3. Try to crash as flat and level as possible, let the landing gear take the hardest hit, skids are cheap and easy to fix. 4. This is MOST IMPORTANT, AVOID PEOPLE AT ANY AND ALL COSTS!!!
:( ali this is sad...i love nitro helis and this was painful xD but I must say that I ve watched every one of your latest heli videos and you really made me love rc helis, now i feel a little "bored" with my ts4 :D i am going to get a sim and practice hard, because i really want something like a 550...
it's a horrible thing to happen Ali... but your were VERY lucky that the damage was so minimal :)
I crashed my 500 a while ago after the gyro failed.. shut off the power but still ended up with a stripped main gear, bent frame and a broken blade grip.. all from a 2 metre drop!! :(
Anyway.. better to crash the 600, instead of the 700 you said you'll be getting right?? lol
:D
Sorry about your crash... just one of those things.
You were doing very well... it looked like you were comfortable with travel in every orientation. You're easing into 3d just like a natural thing... Well done and keep it up!
BTW which sim do you use? ... and are you on multiplayer? I'm on RealFlight-5.5 -- Stringfellow
Holy shit when I heard that voice at first I taught it was a girl flying rc helicopter.
My man your a great pilot. To you or anyone else, I just purchased a T-Rex600 flybarless and was wondering how I should start out. I moved to that from a Blade 400 and the size, noise is intimating. What should I do as far as flying goes to rid myself of that?
All part of the hobby
You would want nitro helicopters to be tuned good in case they stall
Reviewed your crash, reviewed your assessment and I agree with your conclusion. Question: were you using a cheap tail gear that stripped so extensively? Hard to tell watching on video versus person if the initial tail boom making contact with the ground was heavy impact.
Before someone flies should they check the heli parts to make sure nothing is loose or not working and if so what parts should they check
It normal everyone crashes when they fly helicopters and plane so it doesn't matter even I crash my T-REX Align 800 but I manage to fix it :)
Not everyone crashes.
Are you seriously telling me you've never crashed?
what happened to his voice? Its always great (and more or less meaningful) when pilots are proud of their crashes (like throwing a stone to the wall and describing the broken pieces in detail)..Im heliumized by this teriffic video.
Sorry Ali but, you're still the best and everybody crash and some are worst than yours.
@alishanmao dude hes really good at flying helicopters, everyone has an accident every oncein a while. dont hate becasue you'r probaly way worse.
Ah, you did :p
Shoulda waited for the explanation before posting lol
love your vids ,, keep up the good job!!
thank you sir
great vids brah. my 11 yr son and I are just getting into helicopters. we have a T625 coaxial. we are ready to move up to the next level. what would be the next heli to get? remember we are still very new, but def bored with coaxial..
How do you check whether the main shaft and the feathering shaft is not bent?
woohoo first!!
yay trex 600 is back! i love it
ahh i want one so bad. but im not going to buy one because im so used to cars that i know switching from controlling 2 channel to 4 channel i would crash it just trying to take off
so its more like a jet, not a helicopter, because of the way it moves .. they probably attached something to it , no?
You seem to be happy to crash it !
3:57 horror moment... this did hurt me!
crash happens at 3:55
nice flying..bad luk man..
@alishanmao dont know
no prob :)
I wish I could fly that nice. (Exept for the crash part) I'm a 13 year old kid and I got a $20 palm sized helicopter that I couldnt fly straight to save my life...
ich nehme an der heckrotor ist ausgefallen darum drehte er so start oder?
Hey alishanmao I wonted to be as knowledgeable about rc choppers as you do, are there any books i shoud read up on? im currently on a medium level flying, i have a protocol accelerator chopper. i know its not much but im learning. so anyways i wanted to know if i could customize that chopper.. thanks
What's the difference btw flybar and flybarless?
Hi whats your throttle curve setting for normal mode, trex 600 le..os 50...DX9
what a place for hard landings... ouch
@alishanmao very true and alishanmao dont ever feel bad about what anyone says because awesome and if anyone says anything to u then there just plain old low lifes. :)
i guess when u crashed it u said did i just crashed my trex600 .... peace ali i wish u will get that bird fixed and fly in the air again
That's why for my bday i didn't get a big Rc helicopter for my birthday
What caused the crash was pilot error flying too low in a rainbow, not the tail gears!! lol ... sorry to see it though.
He knows that, he was just saying what broke and caused the loss of control.
How come you still flew with a slow tail wag?
