Ive got the little Keter Manor shed, bought to keep my guinea pigs bedding & hay in, took my brother in law 3 hours to assemble withy a tiny bit of help, had my shed now nearly a year and i love it. It has held up this winter really well in strong winds and driving rain, would absolutely purchase another.
I've had the 6x4ft Keter shed for 2.5 years now. The roof is the hardest bit if you're on your own. Secret is to get it on at one of the short ends and chuck a big bag of builder's sand or similar on the bit you've done to hold it down otherwise it keeps popping back out when you're trying to do the other end. Really happy with mine.
The bag of sand trick worked well for the 6x5 I just put up. I got the front edge in and centred and put a couple of screws in to hold in place. I messed around with the back end for about 10 mins before throwing the bag up there, piece of cake from there on. Cheers D
Thank you for explaining as you go how to put it up. Very helpful. I am alone and I am building one for the first time. However, I am female and only 5' 4" so we will see how it goes. I have a ladder or step-stool. Lol.
I bought the Darwin Keter brown shed. It is really a corrugated cardboard with a plastic spray on it. It is pretty flimsy. It is under our two story deck so it has protection and sits on a cement patio. I just built it and will say that I wouldn't purchase this again because I cannot imagine it will last very long, and the 10 year warranty has a lot of exclusions. I'm just storing some gardening tomato guards, etc. Anyone who wants to get into it just needs a box cutter to open it up. It looks nice but it really is pretty flimsy. If it lasts longer I'll update this. I can't imagine it will last more than a couple years so the $500 cost is high. I didn't take it back only because it was just to heavy.
You’re right that they’re easy to break into. I wouldn’t want expensive tools in it for sure. But then again most sheds are easy to break into. As for the warranty, I’ve never dealt with the company so I don’t know how well they treat you in that situation.
I worked for a church and they bought one to keep their garden and lawn equipment in my boss assemble it the roof that one was a sort odd the roof was in one or two pieces and it sort of had to go in just like had go in holes in the supports we finely figure out that the roof was backwards. It lasted a few years but the windows were cracking but in lasted longer than I thought in the hot Texas sun 🌞
Oh, I would love, so much, to have a nice greenhouse. I could get one! However, it's so hot here in Florida, you just about have to run a/c's to keep the plants alive..I can't talk myself into it. At least not now. This is my favorite time of year. Now, Andrew..is it me, or have you guys expanded the flowers over the last couple of years? I can't remember the greenhouses being this full.
Sorry I thought it was yours. I only asked because our conservatory was always covered in condensation until I reroofed and insulated it last year. Now its dry. I have now seen other videos on the Keter sheds and it seems they do not suffer with condensation but thanks anyway. Ken
I have the Keter Manor (6ft x 5ft double door) and it went through the UK's weather in the last couple of years and not a drop of water/condensation inside ... and it's still standing ... I was surprised as well as impressed ... they're great sheds ...
Great video mate! thanks! Do you think it would be easy enough to put another window in by your own cutting in and then getting another window unit to install?
Great video, I'm considering replacing my timber shed (needs too much to put it right). I quite like the look of the plastic sheds, but as you mentioned it's an individual preference. I would like to know how these plastic sheds fair in winter storms with high winds??

A few questions... Can you screw the base down to ply base on the frame? Could you put a ply base inside the shed? Finally, do the vents have insect screens built in to them? Thanks
You probably could lay an extra sheet of ply inside if you needed the floor to take a beating. You can also fix the base down at specified points too if you need to anchor it. From memory there’s no insect screen on the vents
Good video. I have removed my old wooden shed and have 8 wooden beams for the base of my new Keter shed. This means the base will have gaps in between although the beams are level. I wanted this to keep the height as we had flooding last year. If I put mdf on the floor on the inside, do you think this is feasible or do I need to remove the beams and have a completely level base for the Keter shed floor.
Why would you pay all that money for a flimsy keter shed when I can get a larger wooden shiplap tongue and groove shed 6ft by 6ft for less money. Tigersheds is who I bought off.
@FM-db3ft you can get a pressure treated shed that is guaranteed not to rot for 25 years. A lifetime shed. It is still cheaper than the Keter, and it will outlive the keter. Get a shiplap shed that has a tongue and groove construction with no gaps.
@FM-db3ft Who takes a shed with them when they move, even a Keter. You are now splitting hairs. You can quit easily take apart a wooden shed. To tell you my experience of a Keter shed and the poor quality material, missing parts, and the poor customer service who said sorry for the missing and that was it. There was nothing about the missing part or supplying it. Put me right off Keter sheds.
You could mount them to the vertical steel studs. You’d probably have to pilot hole the metal first. I don’t know if Keter recommend that or if they have a system for it 🤷🏼♂️. They’d probably just say to use freestanding shelves. Just standard self tapping screws should be fine from screwfix or somewhere like that.
On some Keter products, you put a piece of metal extrusion through the twin-wall channel and then screw into that. I'm pretty sure that'd work, but I don't know how much it'd void your warranty.
I bought a Keter shed for my cabin property. Nearly every single piece was cracked and the metal bars were bent. I wouldn't recommend Keter if you want quality.
I’m in the market for a new shed. What is the floor like as mine would be used as a workshop with a milling machine etc?.i already have a solid foundation as my current shed is near end of life
From memory it seemed ok but I’d put something on top to protect it for heavy duty use like that tbh. If it regularly had heavy stuff dropped on it I don’t know how long it would last

Sorry mate but wooden sheds simply do not need a bitumen roof. You could easily put a single skin metal roof on it which is environmental friendly and recyclable.

My keter has been returned for a full refund. I feel mislead by Keter. Buyer beware.
I'd still prefer a wooden shed mainly for the look. The customer bought this and I was intrigued to put it together. She's been happy with it. But yeah, don't put valuables in them. Although it's easy to get into any shed for a thief
@tecmow4399 I paid less for the wooden shiplap 6ft by 6ft, Keter shed is around £500, my wooden shed cost £423. It's easier to put together. Luckily, Amazon agreed to take the Keter back. I am not making that mistake again.
