Great Video. Helped with assembly planning. Put mine up in the volcanic heat this week. I made a 6x4 wooden base with ply and fence posts. Not impressed with the way the roof joins the edges of the apex panels. My garden is quite exposed. I ran a Bead of stixall adhesive /sealant front and back.
Just built the 8 X 6 today. Took most of the day, but doing it alone and windy with showers. The only criticism is the double doors are pointless and a source of instability. I'd prefer a single door
A very well put together video. found it very good as you went through all the stages with clear pictures and explained everything well. just got a 6x6 darwin so i take it will be silmilar
Nice little shed and excellent video. Built mine today with the help of your video. Only thing that might have been useful to mention was the fact the corners aren’t the same size so you have to be careful to follow the instructions and make sure you’re putting them in the right way.

How did you find fixing the roof on the side next to the fence? I am looking to purchase one of these sheds but it will just fit in the gap down the side of the house so it'll be pretty much hard up against the wall of the house and the fence. Looking at your video, which is great btw, it looks easy enough to build everything from the inside other than the long roof screws. I'd be grateful to know how you overcame this before I purchase. Many thanks. Mike

This is interesting because mine didn't come with the rubber seal or any weather stripping. My window works just fine without it and does not leak. So it might be possible that they changed the design slightly but forgot to leave out the runner strip in some batches.

big help! although it took me and my husband about 5 hours to do😝 but to be fair we're like the chuckle brothers when it's comes to anything D.I.Y related 🤣
I am waiting for mine to be delivered. By chance could you tell me the size of the plastic insert for the window? I would like to upgrade it to something I little less flimsy, if you have an Amazon recommendation to replace it with I would kindly appreciate it.
Hi did you get a piece of rubber with yours? Mine was holding the window together in transit. Should this be used somewhere? I can't see any mention of it in the manual. It looks like a seal for the window.
Mine has never been bitten through although I've never stored food inside it. I would say probably not although they can get through wood so it could be possible.
Oh how I wish ours had gone up so quickly and easily....Four of us have spent this weekend trying to get it assembled. It's still not finished. Wonder if we got a wonky one?? None of our pieces just slotted in as yours did.......brute force was required. Even took it all apart and started again making sure we hadn't done something wrong........Nope, still didn't go easily. Just one more battle with the door and it should be done.
Sorry to hear that. They seem to be troublesome if the base is not level. My best advice when putting one of these sheds up is make sure that the base is nice and level as it makes it all go up easily.
@@PhillWyattProjects Yes, the base was level - we'd just had builders in to prepare it for us! Hi Martyn, I just pulled the shed out about 2 feet to gain access. I pushed one corner at a time it slides fairly easily.
Cheers Phil much appreciated 👍🏻
I had to build in a sloping garden and then slot it onto the base. Door fit is very poor as a result.
big help! although it took me and my husband about 5 hours to do😝 but to be fair we're like the chuckle brothers when it's comes to anything D.I.Y related 🤣
Thanks! I think it depends what mood your in. Sometimes it takes me ages to put something together. When I'm in the mood for it I'm quite fast.
What all things can fit in to it ? things like stroller , kids bike , kids car can fit ?
Yes I think all those things would fit in it.
Does the shed come with the screws? If not what size did you use please
Hi, yes the screws are included
I am waiting for mine to be delivered. By chance could you tell me the size of the plastic insert for the window? I would like to upgrade it to something I little less flimsy, if you have an Amazon recommendation to replace it with I would kindly appreciate it.
Hi did you get a piece of rubber with yours? Mine was holding the window together in transit. Should this be used somewhere? I can't see any mention of it in the manual. It looks like a seal for the window.
I didn't get any rubber with mine. It could be just packaging? My window doesn't seem to need any rubber seal.
Would rats be able to knaw through the plastic? As I was thinking of getting one of these and a keter 1200L storage box aswell.
Mine has never been bitten through although I've never stored food inside it. I would say probably not although they can get through wood so it could be possible.
@@PhillWyattProjects thank you for the reply ☺️
Nightmare.....We've had to fill gaps with sealant, buy a hook and eye type door closure to stop the door blowing open, as if we'd fitted the one provided the door wouldn't close at all! I'm in dialogue with Keter but don't think I'll get anywhere! Thanks for your reply, much appreciated x
What about the screws at the bottom on the side with the fence? You just skipped these as you didn’t have access?
I added them, then pushed the shed against the fence. It's quite easy to push one corner at a time.
@@PhillWyattProjects great thanks!
Yes, I wondered how you had fitted the other side of the roof, but the shed is quite light to move around, as long as you have not yet bolted it down. @@PhillWyattProjects
Hi i just bought this and your vid is great. Should i bolt this down though?
Thanks for the VDO.
I consider purchasing this shed. Just 1 question - I see the door is on the narrow wall, however, in the catalog it is on the wide wall. Am I wrong?
How do you fix the door please you didn't show us how the fix the hinges. It leaves a gap
Excellent no fuss video. Thanks.
Thanks Paul👍
How did you fit the roof gutter screws and base screws on the fence side?
I pulled the shed out a couple of feet then pushed it back.
@@PhillWyattProjects OK thanks, I'm planning on building a 6x8, do you think it's possible to do that with the large size?
Hey. How did you get the roof up on the side closest to the fence? Looks like a tight area to do so.
I assembled it out a couple of feet from the fence then moved it up closer to the fence afterwards.
Excellent video, very well explained
Your welcome 👍🏻
Brilliant thanks for step by step how to build the Keter 6x4 all that you missed out was which code of screws to use but I sussed that out also mention it can be a fixed to the ground ……… Have you never seen the Wizard from Oz and Dorothy’s house
Well, I actually did a video on how to anchor it to the ground now you mention it. Check it out in my video list 👍
Very informative and helpful video. Thanks
No problem 👍
I was expecting you to seal the bottom panels to stop water coming in?and are the screws rust resistant?
You don't need to seal the bottom panels because they sit inside a channel that allows water to flow out. They screws have no rust on them so far.
Thank you for this very useful video. How long did the job take you?
Thanks I think around a few hours although I can't quite remember it's been a while.
I have this shed. Hinges are on,but there's a gap,not idea how to fix it so no gap.
How wide is the gap?
@@PhillWyattProjects about an inch
What did you do about not having access to the other side of the shed. Did you push the whole shed out
Yea I pulled it out a couple of feet one corner at a time. Then shuffled it back. It was pretty easy one corner at a time.
Nice straightforward job, bet you liked doing airfix kits as a kid
I did actually I had loads of them. I had forgotten all about those until you mentioned it 😄
Hi, this shed inside can drill screw ? Thanks
I don't think the walls are designed to be screwed into. I would not recommend it in my opinion.
@@PhillWyattProjects ok thanks
Hi, great vid.Just how long did it take to do on your own,
Thanks. It took a few hours.
Very helpful but how did you manage all the assembly on the back, particularly screwing the base to the wall panels. Did you have to move the shed?
