Invincible is an American comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, illustrated by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, and published by Image Comics. Set in the Image Universe, Invincible follows the coming of age of superhero Mark Grayson / Invincible, a Viltrumite and first-born son of Omni-Man, the most powerful person on the planet. The series began publication on January 22, 2003, concluding on February 14, 2018 with 144 issues. A television series adaptation began streaming on Prime Video on March 25, 2021 to critical acclaim.

Lol keep hoping because they clearly are not.
They'll do an abridged version of the story. They have 7 seasons supposedly they plan to make. With 20 episodes each season that'll be enough for the major plotlines and distinct arcs that are gonna be separated by time skips most likely.
It wasn’t just Spawn.
Witchblade, The Darkness, Cyberforce, Savage Dragon, Dynamo V, etc.; almost everyone made a cameo appearance in the INVINCIBLE WAR.

The argument doesn’t really work because as far as Mark knew, he DID kill Angstrom. He literally turned his head into mush. How was he supposed to know that he would survive that?

Well Spawn wouldn’t be the exact same across the multiverse. Its very possible that there are much weaker versions of him out there.

Wasn't this cameo part of "Image United"? I vaguely remember that Image Comics had a big crossover event in the works at the time. Which didn't have much success and was discontinued after not even half of it. I think it was about an "Over Spawn" or something like that. And Spawn was supposed to bring different Image heroes together to defeat him.
No that was a separate comic and a separate story that didn't finish due to production problems. This is an arc called the Invincible War which also brings all of the Image heroes together.
Image United was against Omega Spawn and it was axed due to planned included works being sold off and leaving Image (so I've read). Omega Spawn has returned though in the recent spawn issues this year iirc he came back in Spawn #313

The main problem will be McFarlane, he has been working on a new Spawn movie or TV show for a few years and they definitely will not want to mix up content,, unless it got put on Amazon? But definitely seems far-fetched
There should be an Image Cinematic Universe of sorts.

Dude, this war was AMAZING. I love how the writers in Invincible are willing to let their main characters LOSE. Like, Millions are dead. The world has been shaken to its core. Nothing will ever be the same again. Marvel and DC cannot afford to do things like that. This is arc is a chef kiss moment.

Could have dropped mention that Savage Dragon was at the funeral for Guardians of the Globe in the comics but they didn't get to put him in the Amazon series. Likely due to exact reason you mention for Spawn.
This blew my mind back in high school. The invincible war still a high moment for me.
When I first watched Invincible on Amazon I told myself I was going to be patient and wait for the next season.

The implication that Mark is capable of taking down Spawn, though, based on what that Mark said. Plus, being able to take down Savage Dragon, Youngblood, Cyberforce, and I think I saw Witchblade in there...

That was early version Witchblade even Riptide from Youngblood could take Sara then. Sara after artifacts is a beast. As for Spawn versus Mark it would depend which version, excluding angel spawn which has an obvious outcome.

BigRob it’s not sheer-will why he survived, he survived because it’s a comic.
Man if Amazon goes this extreme with this arc....I don’t know what I’ll do with myself. They would have to pull an MCU for all of these characters. Imagine another animated Spawn or Savage Dragon for today with arcs and storylines that have been finished.
TODD should allow permission, he would definitely benefit from it in everyday especially now with a lot of new comic noobs thirsting for dark new hero characters.
What an interesting direction these comics take, I am always surprised how it goes.

amazon has the rights to spider-man only if it's animated , plus spider silk was supposed to release on amazon. so spider-man can def pop up for a cameo
I don’t see why Todd McFarland wouldn’t allow Spawn to show up in Invincible. Even if it’s a one scene, unvoiced cameo. Spawn movie coming out? Spawn showed up in MK11? What better way to drum up more interest in the character than to also have him show up in one of the most popular shows out right now? Tbh the fact that Spawn isn’t a household name right up there with Batman or Spider-Man right now is a crime.
That being said, Spider-Man and that Batman cameo would be dope also if they show up in the show.

I like how its clear from the panel, that Mark is struggling the most here against spawn. The only panel where He is on the Blackfoot, insinuating spawn won this fight. And if Spawn won this fight then Mark did not survive.

I love how The Invincible Variants all look incredibly deucy and even lame, especially the one with the mustache 😂 you can tell the writers and illustrators had fun with it 😂
