I love fleets exiting hyperspace, it just looks so cool. You see them coming for a split second and then their here. How they go from insanely fast to also no speed just looks so cool.
It's my favorit way of going to or leaving from hyperspace in every sci-fi show. There is no animations and special FXs. It gives a clear impulse in your mind when you don't know what gonna happen. It's very effective !
Imagine having a peaceful day, just doing some casual space scavenging, then you see off in the distance a few small blips before a whole ISD flys over you
I love how when the Seventh Fleet arrives at Atollon at 1:15, they all arrive within split seconds of one another. Likely due to Thrawn wanting a surprise attack and times the arrival precisely when he means to :P
There is literally no faster than light travel sequence from any fiction cooler than that in Star Wars Especially in the new ones, when a battle group zooms onto the screen then instantly decelerates but keeps moving slowly, and that deep *WHOom* as they exit hyperspace is just MMMMM
Not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last couple of days =)
All of these clips shows us how scary it can be of out of nowhere a giant or even small but powerful ship comes towards you facing it's front to you ready to fire all guns to you
Imagine having a ship the size of Texas to protect your people until a ship the size of Jupiter come out of hyperspace just 20 miles in front of yours.
If it was possible to nullify inertial and gravitational mass, and reduce a vessel's total mass to almost nothing, then a high intensity laser would be propellant enough to accelerate the ship to near light-speed. When the mass-nullification field was shut down, the ship would instantly decelerate to its relative resting velocity instantaneously, and that would look almost exactly like this.
Obi Wan ended an episode asking his commander on a Venator to jump to hyperspace. That was my first time ever seeing FTL in any media. After that I decided I wanted to work on rocket engines. I was 11 at the time. 10 years later I was building them and 12 years later I’m testing them for Blue Origin. :)
Interesting how well placed and timed these ships exit from hyperspace. In the Thrawn trillogy you needed assistance from interdictor cruisers to pull this off. It even seems like some ships remain in hyerspace until they get a signal to perform a trap.
The reinforcing ships are likely a couple million miles away and just do little hops through hyperspace. That's my interpretation of how the Separatists jumped Anakin's fleet at Ryloth.
I have been trying to figure out how to create that effect in After Effects or some other video editing but all I can find is how to make the blue tunnel or the star field. Does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on how to do it? I use adobe CS6 for my editing and Blender for my modeling.
Yes, HOW was it created is what I need. Ton of videos showing they did it but not how. I am not making a Star Wars fan film so I can not just borrow someone's clip and wouldn't want to even if I were making one.
@@p.c.windhamparanormalroman4339 yeah I just sent that link in case you could find any information that way, because I don't know any of that stuff, as for your fan film it sounds exciting I hope it works out for you:)
If you're using blender have the ship move from say X -1000 to X 0 in 5 frames, then X 0 to X 100 in 100 frames. play around with these values until the ship is at the desired speed (remember to account to frame rate, thats a rough guide for 30fps)
I notice that the depictions of ships dropping out of hyperspace is not consistent across all media. Sometimes it's almost instantaneous, with just two or three frames giving that idea of what the SW written works call "pseudomotion". Other times, the ship pops into existence somewhere a few miles away, and then rushes towards the camera before stopping dead.
u forgot the star destroyer that jumped to hyperspace after getting out the trash in episode 5 and the millenium falcon hyperspace to mega star destroyer only to leave the escape pod and jump to hyperspace again in episode 8 also the shitty hyperspace in episode 8 aswell
I was going to make a Lightspeed compilation with everything, all movies, tv shows ect but my computer broke and that a long with a few other projects like this are now lost
They exist lightspeed the moment you see them and they enter lightspeed the moment you don't see them anymore. In the seconds before they jump into/out of hyperspace, the ships just get faster/slower but don't enter lightspeed until they are gone.
this video is severely lacking in both quality and quantity, I might need to make a better version soon..
Please do, this was sick

What you have just described is the key to the universe and pure everlasting happiness

First time I saw that was in Rogue One and I thought it was pretty cool
The smaller fighters moving faster and the big slow ships basically still always got me
Imagine having a peaceful day, just doing some casual space scavenging, then you see off in the distance a few small blips before a whole ISD flys over you
I absolutely love how the Seperatist ships have a low rumble when they come out of hyperspace
The separatists ships all sound more menacing and have a low rumble when the camera passes by, that always interested me.
Same It sounds so menacing when they pass by the camera
I like the metálic sound too
I love the sound of hyperspace and the sound of the separatist ships soaring through space
Same here
I always liked the separatist navy
I think it was the best and definitely the best looking navy in star wars
@@karlsinger4760 I agree
Seeing a whole battle fleet emerge from hyperspace is so cool
i thought i was the only one lmao

I think slipspace is cooler. Especially the scene in Spartans ops were the infinity just crashes through a ship as it leaves.
@@djcuevas1057 40ks warp is metal as fuck
BSG has a cool FTL sequence. I guess it’s technically more like teleporting but still, it looks so cool.
Stargate has you beat with their hyperdrive, in my opinion. That first cloud of hyperspace that opens where ships fly true is so darn cool
It's like a sonic boom almost

I don’t know why I needed this but thank u
I don't know why. But there's something EXTREMELY intimidating about seeing ships drop out of hyperspace
I like how ominous and subdued the Malevolence sounds when exiting hyperspace compared to the other vessels.
Its bite negates the need for a growl
The venator is such a pretty ship it looks awesome from every angle
I fucking love the sounds of Separatist ships. They remind me of Zeppelins from WWI.
0:33 needed this thx
Tactical droid voice compilation coming soon.
I can't wait

The moment they drop out of hyperspace is like a warped sonic boom
this makes me realize how visually odd it is to see ships just _appearing_
As much hate as 8 gets (and rightfully so), I thoroughly enjoyed the hyperspace exits - especially the introduction to Snoke’s ship
Love the menacing rumble of the separatist ships engines. 1:00
This was exactly what I needed. Just a quick reference to help me describe the visual in writing. Thanks!

yes general, the republic fleet indeed
Imagine having a ship the size of Texas to protect your people until a ship the size of Jupiter come out of hyperspace just 20 miles in front of yours.
one of the best things in star wars

I mean that's basically how mass effect handles ftl
I love watching ships drop from FTL travel and immediately opening fire
The Rebel Fleet exiting hyperspace at Endor is still the best, and the space scenes following it.
The best part about these is the absence of the ships and the ships jumping out with the engine sounds
Obi Wan ended an episode asking his commander on a Venator to jump to hyperspace. That was my first time ever seeing FTL in any media. After that I decided I wanted to work on rocket engines.

the sound is so soothing its like a loud asmr lol
1:36 pure bada**ery
At least the special effects didn’t disappoint
the scale just doesn't make sense. Either it's really tiny planet with thin atmosphere or the ships are the size of deathstar.
1:21 to 1:23 Those Chimaera arrivals are my favourite moments in Rebels series. The ship's mere presence is intimidating.
Thx for the Sounds, they will make a fine Edition to my colection!
Why is this so satisfying?
0:57 is my favorite 😍

Say what you want about the Last Jedi, but the dreadnought and Supremacy coming out of hyperspace are immensely satisfying.
facts, the sound the Supremacy makes when it arrives are so cool
Rebels has the coolest hyperspace entrances

For the separatist alliance!
How come there are no collisions when exiting hyper in a crowded area?
Someone should edit the vine boom sound effect on this

No wonder they refer to it in the novels as "a flicker of pseudomotion"
