    I love the view from inside ships when exiting lightspeed. At first you see the blue hyperspace and it feels like youre still accelerating, then, you leave the tunnel and see the stretching stars again and it feels like youre "falling", not braking but also not accelerating, as if youre dropping out, and then you suddenly brake and bam your destination just appears infront of you.

    • @thehelldoicallthis9241
      @thehelldoicallthis9241 3 года назад +8

      @@lilou4180 hyperspace is an alternative dimensional space that mirrors realspace but is far more "compact" so distances are much shorter. The ships basically take a shortcut. The lightspeed part is that they enter the dimension by a molecular displacement that happens when moving at the speed of light (in the Star Wars universe atleast). So the zooming is the hyperdrive hurling the ship to lightspeed for a brief moment where it then enters hyperspace.

    It's funny, because the sound is for the viewer effect. In space you would not hear the engines. Even if gas was present you would still only hear a fraction of the vibration of that sound. Its because what we hear on earth, or in a controlled environment, like a spacecraft, plane, or space suit, all have pockets of air, which the sound can travel through and we in turn can hear it.

    If ya think about it, the viewports would have to have x-ray filters on them to protect occupants from the light. When a ship is transitioning through the light speed barrier, before entering the artificial wormhole like environment of hyperspace, the star scape light coming towards the ship would be doppler shifted into the x-ray spectrum. That would be harmful if allowed to pass through the viewport material, or hull plating for that matter, to the observer. Ships would more than likely have to be designed with solid hull plating like shields that automatically close all viewports for hyperdrive propulsion, with sensors, instrumentation, and view screens being used instead of the viewports, for navigation. Just a thought.

      Ships in Star Wars use inertial dampeners just like in Star Trek wich is how they can make the manouvers they do without killing everyone inside. Its also how artificial gravity works in Star Wars. Vehicles like walkers also have them so it's a much smoother ride on those things than you would think. They are also why theres no seatbelts of any kind on most speeders. You just have artificial gravity to hold the people in their seats. You can actually see in episode 2 when Anakin does a nose dive with a speeder him and Obi-Wan are being held in their seats.

    • @Gage_Brumley

      The Holdo maneuver worked because the Raddus was at the perfect distance away from the Super Star Destroyer. The Raddus wasn't actually traveling at light speed when it hit the destroyer, it was still in the process of accelerating to light speed. If it was further away it would have likely entered hyperspace before it hit the Star Destroyer

    People say tlj lightspeed ramming is dumb. Yes it is, but rogue one broke hyperspace first. If you are right by a planet let alone in its atmosphere, you CANNOT JUMP TO HYPERSPACE. You have to be clear of the mass shadow first, (that means you have to be clear of gravity wells.) Same with solo. If you are near a black hole like that then once again you cant jump. Hyperspace is not just a speed booster.

      Thats how I felt when the falcon came out of light speed in star killer base's atmosphere. What are the chances of manually Stopping in the planet while moving at lightspeed let alone not being torn apart in its atmosphere while in light speed. But hey its star wars, people have powers, and they can breathe in dessert and lava planets lol

      You don’t have to be completely clear of gravity wells in order to jump into hyperspace, as we’ve seen ships jump with planets nearby for a long time. How it works is that the closer you are to a celestial body, the more gravity is pulling on your ship, and the more likely it is to be torn apart.
      The U-Wing in Rogue one was clearly out of the atmosphere before it jumped, so gravity wasn’t pulling on it as much as you might think. Combine that with a little bit of force luck, and you have yourself a decent shot at making it out alive.

    •  3 года назад

      They were pratically at the end of the atmosphere when they jumped, and gravitational force exists almost everywhere

      In Solo, they didn't jump to lightspeed when they were close to the black hole, they used the coaxium to get out and then jumped to lightspeed. The coaxium was the speed booster, not lightspeed

    The Eliminator Class Hyper-Star Dreadnought, a 1000km long, 600km wide Star Ship, with a 100km wide, Hexagonal shaped Super Weapon Barrel Canon at the Front. The ship is fueled by Shadron, a Powerful fuel, so Powerful, But a Single Tiny Drop can power a Ship the size of the Executor Class for over a Thousand Years. Their is only 1 Eliminator-Class Hyper-Star Dreadnought in all of Existence in the wider Media-Multiverses, and that ship is the Eliminator itself, Flagship, and mobile base for The Void Empire Fleet, and the Universe Destroying super weapon fueled by the Evil Energies from the Void Emperor, The Supreme Master Night Hunter, The Demon Lord of Villainy, Wickedness, & Destruction, and the Wielder of the Multiversal Staff of Villainy, Wickedness, and Destruction himself, GothDum, also known as Shadow Zero.
    Anyways, the Eliminator-Class Hyper-Star Dreadnought has a Class 0.01 Hyperdrive. It has Two Primary Backup Hyperdrives, which are class 1 Hyperdrives, and a Three Secondary Backup Hyperdrives of class 6 ratings, and 4 Tertiary Backup Hyperdrives of class 12 rating.
    The Only Ship that can Truly Rival the Eliminator-Class Hyper-Star Dreadnought is the Liberator-Class Super-Star Defender. Which has a Similar appearance to a MC80 Liberty type Cruiser, however, it too, like the Eliminator-Class, is 1000km long. And though it lacks the Universe Destroying super laser the Eliminator-Class has, they have Shield Generators so powerful, they can create a Sheet that spans across an Entire Multiverse. The Liberator-Class also has Universe Moving Tractor Beam projectors.
    Both the Liberator-Class Super-Star Defender and Eliminator-Class Hyper-Star Dreadnoughts, other then the super weapons, Shields, or Tractor Beams, they are essentially Equal in Fire Power and Sheer Speed.
    The Liberator-Class Super-Star Defender also has a 0.01 Class Hyperdrive, as well as Sets of Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Backup Hyperdrives. And also like the Eliminator-Class, their is only One Liberator-Class in all of the Media Multiverses, aptly named the Liberation.
    The Liberation is the Flagship of the United Universes, an Inter-Universal Organization that is set on protecting all the Free Universes of the Media Multiverses from the Grip of the Void Empire. Their are 4 Universes that act as the Shared Capital of the UU. The UU, unlike the Void Empire, is a democracy, and a President is Elected once every 5 Multiverse Years, that is the Time Frame shared by all the Universes of the Wider Media Multiverses. Anyways, the UU is like a combination of the US government, and the United Nations on Earth (in the First Reality). Their is a Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Defense for the UU is Luminar Solaris, or his Full Name, Illuminar Solaristar, the Leader of Light, and the wielder of the Staff of Heroism and Purity. He is the Sworn Enemy of GothDum, and a Hater of all things Evil. He commands the Liberation and he engages in warfare against GothDum, over universes Key for defending the Freedom of the Wider Multiverses.

    I had such faith in JJ Abrams to bring the trilogy to a relatively okay end as what rian Johnson left him with was basically impossible to make a good ending film but the light speed skipping was just as bad as rian’s lightspeed suicide kamikaze attack lol if you can light speed skip the way Poe did in the falcon then why not just do that to get to the surface of Exogol instead of all that complicated map route crap?

    • @GeekCinema
      @GeekCinema  2 года назад

      lightspeed skipping was shown to have a big strain on the falcon, hence why it was on fire when they met up with Rey at the base. And looks like youd have to be a pretty skilled pilot to pull it off. So going by that, I doubt most of the fleet would have made it to Exogol. At least thats what I got out of it.

    The problem with the whole ‘jump to light speed concept’ is they are ignoring time dialation, theory of relativity. Everyone Jumping around at lightspeed would really mess with peoples time scales. Oh, Darth Vader died 200 years ago, sorry!
