Hi Jose and Katie! I love your videos and I love that you two are finally visiting California! I lived there for most of my life (38 years). If you decide to drive from Southern to Northern Cal, I'd recommend driving along PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) at some point (but not during traffic hours). You'll get to see the Pacific Ocean as you drive along the coast. As long as you don't mind driving along the cliffs and winding roads, it's a beautiful drive.
If you trust Google 😂, I found this interesting: "Is it better to drive up or down the PCH? Driving the route from north to south is ideal, as you'll be on the ocean side of the road the entire way, allowing unobstructed views of the jagged coastline below. Three days is a minimum, and if time allows you could easily spend more."
If yall are into Asian foods or sushi. My husband recommends salmon. Said it was the best he has ever tasted. Said it taste more fresh over there. Try some authentic Mexican food over there too. Cali and Texas always trying to compete with "authentic" mex foods. Honestly ours would be tex mex. 😂
If you live in Phoenix, San Diego will be your go to in the summer for relief from the heat. 110 in Phoenix, 70 in San Diego. Flagstaff is closer at around 85.
Just watching all those thousands of vehicles in just this one 20 min video, and I think I read that Californians pay around $1.40 / gallon in state and federal fuel taxes !
Great video! I have always wanted to see San Diego . You and Katie are awesome drivers, watching you guys travel to states you have never been and drive on highways like you have lived their all of your lives, unknown highways 🛣 is terrifying to me. Safe travels 🥰
I lived in San Diego for 5 years, and I've lived in St. Petersburg, FL, now for 2 years, and I can tell you that I much prefer Florida. San Diego is very scenic with the canyons and hills that run through the city, but it's very boring, the people are vacuous, and the nightlife is lacking. Tampa/St. Pete is a better area. LA, with the exception of a few cities that surround it, is a dump. The same is true for San Fran. California is better from an outdoorsy perspective, though. You have mountains, redwood/Sequoia trees, a rugged coastline...etc.. Florida has much nicer beaches for swimming, warmer water, and better nigntlife. Florida also has the advantage of being the gateway to the Caribbean. It's also much closer to the cities of the East Coast, like New York, DC, Boston...etc.. I know it's all a matter of opinion, but I just wasn't a fan of California.

San Diego Highways are my favorite
Why? How do they compare to LA?? I’m from Seattle so asking
Same. Even now they're still better than LA. I love driving in through the back end of Arizona, and seeing the sand dunes, and border towns.
Not that many Cubans on the west coast. mostly Mexicans and Centroamericanos.
Glad you were able to visit the Specific Ocean!
I don't think you would want to live there, after seeing the homeless crisis its going through.
I live in Sarasota Florida.. theres now a homeless person sleeping outside my apartment balcony.. 🫤 craps everywhere
I live in a rich suburb and theres homeless people outside.. craps unreal.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Wow, that sucks dude. Sorry to hear that for real.
The palm trees look so cool!
