Being a makeup purchaser since the 1970s I have noticed that drugstore brands---Revlon, Maybelline, Loreal and CG--recycle certain shadow and lip colors by repackaging and renaming them. The first one you tried on, even on video, looks very familiar to me and is prob sitting in a drawer somewhere in my vast stash of forgotten items. I bought so many fabulous peachy, pinky and nude tones at one point....I ignored the fact that it takes a long while to use up just one tube.
I don’t think I’ll ever use up all my lipsticks anymore, lol. I have so many!!
Loved this video. I've always wanted to wear a red lipstick but have never found one I feel looks good on me. Would you do a video on red lip color? What type of reds look good against what skin tone? Would love your take on that.
Im 52 yo and have slightly deeper skin tone than you. I have thin dark pigment outlining my lip. So I need a complimenting nude pencil when wearing a lighter shade nude lipstick. I love Revlon Super Lustrous "Creme" Lipstick in Rum Raisin and top off with Revlon SuperLustrous "Shine" Lipstick also in Rum Raisin. I avoid matte because I feel it draws attn to my smile lines and ages my face. Thank you for swatching on your lips with close ups!
Rum Raisin has been one of my favorites for over 20 years!! I like some of the new glossier formulations too.

First you are simply gorgeous! Really naturally pretty. You hair color is perfect! All those shades are beautiful! I just found you feed as I was search for lipstick color for brunettes. I just had my hair colored, and I feel like it makes me look older and enhances my wrinkles! I’ll be 60 in a few months. The hair color is pretty, but, something is off and I’m not sure what it is. I did use a plum lipstick and gloss. It may be too much. I don’t know. I wish you were here to help me! Oh my gosh. Oh, and my hairstyle is like yours! I don’t wear shadow. I just use stay don’t stray by benefit in place of shadow. No liner as it smears off. Just a little mascara bc I have little lashes and don’t want clumps. It’s really only one light coat of mascara. I use Charlotte tilbury bronzer and bars under eye concealer and Mac water based foundation that the men in tv use to not look like they have make up on. That’s it plus Charlotte tilbury highlighter for cheek bones, tip of nose, chin, and between eye browns. That’s it.
I love all the products you mentioned. Very nice natural "enhanced" color without looking too "made up."

The thing about Charlotte T make up is that it last so much longer than drug store brands, so sometimes its cheaper to buy a better brand lipstick. :-)

I love a good nude lip. I have several of the L'Oréal and Maybelline. I know the CT pillow talk is iconic but I did find it a bit drying on me, although the shade is beautiful. Have a great weekend friend! 💕

So it turns out that “Pillow Talk” has 3 shades! Yes. I ordered a duo with mini lipstick and pencil from Sephora. It surprised me that it is very brown. So I went back to the website to discover that I had received the medium shade (I hadn’t noticed that there was a choice). I do like the liner, but as a fair skinned woman I will try the Pillow Talk - Nude Pink for next order.

OMG!! I have been loving my Mac nudes BUT that last one, I used to use alllll the time and I completely forgot , the sandstone! Thank you soooo much! I am getting it tomorrow 🤣🤣I went through that color so much , I think at one point I couldn’t find it anywhere so started trying other brands.

My most flattering nude tone is a rosey brown something like KVD Lolita or Pillowtalk medium and I am heavily drawn to similar shades. I realized after organizing my lippies that they were all that same shade range lol. Safe to say I no longe😢r buy lippies as I have my holy grail and have lots of tubes to go through 😃

L'Oreal has some of the best nude shades. I'm cool pale so I find that the rose or brown toned nudes work for me. Hope you have a great weekend!

Everything looks great on you. I love pinky nudes but the majority of the pinky nudes look peachy on me. MAC lipsticks and Chanel work for me.
Milani's Teddy Bare is my go to nude favorite.

Very nice color tones. Like the last on best. Unfortunately, the actual L´oreal page for Germany does not show the color you mentioned - 810 Sandstone, would be curious which color comes close to this one...!?!?
Fun video. It's always nice to see a lipstick try on. My favorite nudes are: Sazan Nude, and Blush both Bobbi Brown, Clinique in Beige Pop, Nude Pop, and Bare Pop, Estee Lauder Tiger Eye is a coppery, shimmery nude, Revlon Champagne on Ice and Blushed, Pink in the Afternoon a pinky peachy nude. I never pick out the right lip color. So many I never use. My skin tone is medium with red/blue undertones and my lips are a purple-ish color. Recommendations???
I have similar skin tone and darker pigment in my lips, I’d still be heading straight for that Pillow Talk first! If it’s too light, I’d try the L’Oréal in Nu Authentique or the Lisa Eldridge Velvet Muse. They have a lot of pigment to cover up the purpleish undertones

I have celiac and it is difficult to figure out if they are gluten free or not. I wish their was an easy way to figure it out.
That is true. I wouldn’t have thought gluten would be something you have to watch out for in a lipstick.

I'm not big into lipstick and nude lips or nails is not my thing. But some of these are really pretty.
I liked the MAC Coffee & Cream and the last the Sandstone best on you, I love metallic lippies. Also I'm a mauve mauve and more mauve l, I have way too many lipsticks and so many are almost the same color lol! I do not like matte lipsticks tho, shine is far prettier imo. Just about sent me over the edge when every company was producing mattes only lol. They are all great on you tho. Thx Lisa!! ~~Chanel

Glossy lipsticks typically don’t, but I prefer the feel of over a matte lipstick, I wouldn’t be able to wear that all day either without reapplying some sort of gloss or balm on top
You already have so much color to your lips…it’s difficult to tell the difference in all the colors you just showed. They all look good.

I wear browns all the time. I use what I like.
Not exactly true that these are for ALL skin tones. It's not a matter of light or dark, it's cool or warm, and all your colors except maybe the Tama and Nars, are warm, not good for cool skin-toned women.
The funny thing is, many of my favorites are favorites of my friend Tamara, who is a cool tones, fair skin, silver hair woman. But we have similar natural pigment color in our lips.
I'm sorry...I just cannot watch the part where you put the lipstick on. Please tell me you don't put lipstick on your clients the same way you put it on yourself...AND...you don't put it on yourself the same way every time. Sometimes you start with the bottom lip, and sometimes you do the top first...and then you swipe it from one side to the other like windshield wipers. How in the heck can you even stay within your lip lines that way OR fill the lip lines with color evenly???
Its really not rocket science, just lipstick. I really don't pay much attention and am quite happy with the way my lipstick looks. If someone is overanalyzing that's their issue, not mine, lol. I'm a little flabbergasted that this is even a comment 🤪
