I believe the rose dress fabric is called pique (peekay), a textured cotton fabric that was popular back in the 60’s and 70’s. My mom used to sew a lot of our summer outfits with that. In my country, Malta, such bed throws were used when one of the family daughters was getting married. Only to be shown on the wedding day by the photographer and maybe videographer and then restored back for the next wedding.

Serena, I have to tell you how much I love watching you and your sweet Mom shopping together. I lost my Mom 3 years ago to metastatic breast cancer that then metastasized to her liver. We were just like you and your Mom- loved shopping thrift stores and antique stores and just being together. She truly was my best friend and like you I am an only child. I miss her every second of every day and long to go thrifting together one more time. Cherish your Mom everyday. :)
