This was like a walk down memory lane. I made so many of these dresses and jackets back in the 70s. I sew every day and have for decades, so after watching this..I've decided to make these maxi's again. Yes, I am an authentic hippie and flowerchild of the 70s. Love your videos.
I'm a hippie wanna be. I was born in 1966 and we didn't have much money but my love of clothes and classic rock came at an early age. I guess I am a full blown hippie! I missed out on a lot of concerts until I got a job at 14. I love to sew, but I can't go by a pattern, I have to make it up as I go. I just love Elise and her style so much! Her channel is so much fun to watch! Have fun with your sewing machine!
@@tammieparrishmiller3669 You are, without a doubt, a full on hippie chic. I never use patterns. At this stage, I can eyeball most everything. Truth be told, i dont own a kitchen stove, nor do I know how to run one. My kids made a sign that says "will sew for food" to hang on my fridge. Elise is an absolute joy to watch. She inspires me with her charm, kindness, eye for style and independence.

The dark blue lace dress, long sleeves and lace yolk, is a brides maid dress, I believe. From around the mid to late "70's. I remember seeing that dress in pink at a friends wedding in 1977.
So much of your vintage clothing I remember being the new styles.
Yours is the only YT channel that I must watch on a big screen (not the cell phone) because it's so aestethically pleasing, so sometimes I can barely wait till I can watch it when I am notiified!

So many beautiful dresses! Yes, I loved the first one but the long blue dress that made you feel like a “blue bride” was stunning. Very elegant and understated; it lets the beauty of the wearer take center stage while still being beautiful itself. It was my second favourite then the white butterfly dress.❤❤❤

Elise,All of what you wear and find are so chic, and beautifully tailored, and how you incorporate everything in your wardrobe has a sweet 70s feel,that was also a time of learning beautiful scents as different exotic performers came up with new scents that went with candles also, the incenses were used a lot. But I could just imagine how your beautiful flower garden smells as well as looks. I’ve always been for nature, and a woods I visit had some great honeysuckle growing up in top of the trees. So you’re talents are made with hard work, but every bit worthy ❤👏👏💐⭐️🌺👗👠👘👒✅💯

Everything seems so clean (stain free) and good quality. And that white dress is still soooo white. So rare for vintage. I wonder if it was all never worn vintage? What a great box of vintage

love the light bluedress but I'd take the flower from the middle and either leave it off or put it somewhere else...but that's just me. Many of the pieces were adorable! 🙏
My favorite clothing decades are the late 50s and the entire 60s. I liked parts of the 70s styles, (sheer cotton floral shirts, hip huggers, poor boy sweaters) but 80s and 90s were boring, I think. You and I have really different styles, but you look good in absolutely everything. I love the kimonos.

Some of these skirts& dresses are lovely. There are others where I like the fabric & would redesign them. That one huge red dress I could make a couple of beautiful pillow cases out of.
Now that`s a mountain full of clothes! There are so many beautiful pieces, it must have been so much fun to discover them one by one. But wow, that angel dress! It is a 15 out of 10! 😀Such a wonderful pattern, pity that one cannot recognize just by the short moment how it was made in its details. It is so special in every single of its parts! It has such an "aura" when you wear it and move in it - even that incredible white (what sort of cloth is it??) seems to be kind of "heavenly", so very radiating! That`s clearly an elven gown, Galadriel herself might wear it!
But beside all that, you know what? It totally broke my heart to see you so very sad and desillusioned because of what happened to you in fall/winter. And now, since you designed the details in your house so prettily and worked in your fairytale garden and made it bloom, I feel that you are totally back now, you` re beaming, you got all your light back, that`s so great to see! With your big love and heart fo design, for beautiful things and clothes you also bring so very much love into the world just by showing it and letting us take part in it. Thank you very much for another beautiful video, people seem to love your "unpackings" of clothes very, very much, and not to forget you trying on some of it, showing it and giving it a rate! You are an inspiration with everything you show, tell and do, even with the smallest things - and so much more than you probably may think or believe. All together it is always charming, joyful, interesting and enjoyable to watch; I always make myself a big mug full of coffee and take something nice to eat when I watch your newest video - to enjoy it fully and without being interrupted I spare it for the "me-time" of the day and take in every second of it. 😀 Watching your newest piece of work has become a beloved ritual.

I keep seeing pillows and pillow cases and quilts made out of some of those gorgeous fabrics. The mermaid dress would make a body pillow case. If they don't sell, this could be an alternative use. Your garden is really full now and so pretty. Your new house is so perfectly suited to you.
