Isabella, so sorry that you can no longer hug and talk to your mom in person. Even though she has passed she is still with you. Love never dies. Each time you hear a certain song or smell her cologne she is with you in spirit. I think God let's our loved ones come and visit us...especially in our dreams. My mother has been in heave for 29 years and I still have dreams that are so real I would compare it to watching a movie with smellavision. I treasure those dreams and you will come to as well.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your mother. While watching Selena and her mom I couldn't help thinking of all the fun times I had with my mom. She passed on February 10, 2018, so we're feeling her loss especially strong right now. Cherish your time with her Selena!
I’m shocked Selena wants to alter that shade so much. It seems so pretty as is and I would have thought that was just her style.

Definitely not trying to tell her not to because I am a big believer in if you own it don’t let anyone tell you what you should or shouldn’t do with it.
Maybe the fringe was dingy and she just didn't mention that.

I used to make those type of Victorian shades too...I love the blush pink colors and would leave it as is it's beautiful!
Please do not alter the lampshade. It was designed that way for a reason. Besides, I don’t think you can improve on it because it looks fine in its original form.

I saw you and your mom at the FG Goodwill last Friday! I was like “I know those people!” and then immediately realized it was you two! I wanted to say hi, but got shy and didn’t want to disrupt your treasure hunting! Love the content you put out here on your channel and on ‘The Recycled Life’ as well! You and Laura always find such cool stuff and really make bargain hunting fun! And your mom is such a cool chic...actually, you all are! Hang in there, y'all. People will have time to clean out and more to donate. When the shops open, there will be more to buy. I keep waiting to be shut down again. I hope this will be over soon, people will not get sick and all can resume their shopping addictions😁.

@@oscargoldfield1593 I mean unique pottery or kitchen ware that isn't mass produced to look exactly the same, so there are only a few or where no 2 designs are exactly the same. I couldn't think of the word for it, as i get chronic brain fog so put handmade since in sewing and art i use those terms. What is the word I'm looking for though? 🤔
@@thechronicreative Oh, excellent. That sounds like a great idea. I think your choice of word is spot on. It makes perfect sense. For some reason I was thinking about small appliances vs plates, mugs and vases.

I'm agreeing with the lampshade comments, that it's beautiful the way it is, it does have a lot going on already, pleats, lace overlay, embellishments, fringe and the shape of it. Put the shade on the gorgeous lamp and let it sit for a while before you make a decision to change it. You may end up happy and relieved that you didn't alter it. :)

Selena, that is Fenton. It’s called Silver Crest, that’s the edges that are all ruffles! Great find for $38! I used to collect Fenton and wheel and deal it.

On that beautiful Victorian lampshade, If you cant find fringe, you could do navy lace, or emerald green beaded fringe...or peacock feather style in varigated teal blue beads...or stay light colors with a soft seafoam green fringe and add silk varigated ribbon rose flower on top of each white panel...or do doily on top of panel then add varigated silk ribbon flower on center of doily. Beautiful shade and lamp...loving it...peacock feathers with gold glitter sprayed feathery branches or fern leaves with soft peach and creme rosebuds in that large teal colored ornate vase would look beautiful too.
Honestly, I love the lamp shade JUST THE WAY IT IS - super feminine and pink! 💗And, yes, I would to see some of your mom's collections if she decides to share. I love these episodes with your mom. I miss my mom dearly. We used to go to all the yard sales and thrifts together. She's been gone 10 years this year. 😥 So watching you and your mom together is so bittersweet and blesses me.
