This is absolutely amazing, thanks for this great tutorial. It is also great that you used uart paper as almost all pastel artists only use pastelmat. I like this paper or fisher 400 very much for pastels and often use my airbrush and acrylics for the first layers before using pastels, it works great Greetings from Germany
I love all your videos! I learn so much from them! I don't know if you answered this in another video, but which fixative do you use on your pastel and charcoal paintings?
Here’s a link to the video that goes through all the materials I use for my charcoal drawings (including the fixative) 😁 ruclips.net/video/BFk1eH0LpIQ/видео.htmlsi=sUHpztB1XTPBYivK
I'm not sure how one might critique this work! What do you mean you're not an expert at using pastels? 😄 ===============================================================================================
I do sometimes use panpastels to block in the piece I just dont have enough for the colours I needed in this piece. I'd love to be able to get a whole set of them one day though!
Would love to see more pastel work from you, great stuff!!!
I love it!
True artist and master, dedicate your work and skills unreservedly.
Awesome, congratulations! For the award too!
thank you!
Felicidades eres impresionante, aprendo mucho con tus videos. Gracias por compartir
Congratulations, although I am not at all surprised, you are so talented, love watching your videos
Thank you very much :)
Восхитительно ❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Gorgeous! 🤗
I bought the same pastel box from Derwent and was shocked that they didn't have a burnt sienna in it. !

Do you have any tips for sharpening the pencils? I can't seem to find a method that doesn't just break the pastel.
@@sq5 Blade to remove the wood of the pencil and sanded paper to make the point as fine as you need.
That's exactly how I do it too :)
I did a quick video about how I do this, here you go :) ruclips.net/user/shortsG-TUupk-2R8
Delight ❤
great work ! How do you protect your pastel work ? Do you spray-seal it or double mount under glass ?
I put them under glass as soon as possible! 😁

I use fixative for my charcoals but not for pastels. With pastels I just frame it behind glass as soon as possible 😁

@@StudioWildlife Thank you so much for sharing the link and replying! You've inspired me to start painting again!
Really beautiful! How much time dit you spend to make it?
Thank you, I didn't really keep track but i would say about 6 hours spread across two days
Great piece! You would Pan Pastels!
what kind of gloves you use? thank you
I think they are just black latex gloves. I found a loose pair in a drawer and thought they looked cool :)
