Very cool recipe! But please don't put an arrow pointing to one serving of an entire recipe and imply that a single piece is 100g protein. It's a little misleading :(
I use chana flour to make so many good foods. Living in the largest Punjabi population outside of India, it is very affordable. Also lots of cool recipes
I tried out this recipe today and it is absolutely amazing! Asked my family to try and guess what it was made out of and they couldn't believe there were any chickpeas in this :) I will certainly give your other recipes a try. Thank you for all the recipe ideas 🙏
Great recipe! Do you know any reasonable trade-off to cut down carbs? A magic flour like bulgur or almond or something? Never tried myself anything such.
If I make these with garbanzo beans that I've made in the Instant Pot, would I use the liquid from the IP in place of the liquid in the can? Approximately how much liquid is that?
Idk if it would work, but I think Asian groceries usually carry a toasted soy powder that is used as a topping for Mochi and stuff. It has a nutty flavor and would probably act as a good substitute for pb powder? Or you could use sunbutter/ sunflower seed spread
do have a recommendation for a substitute for the coconut oil? I'm really not a fan of using it since it's so high in saturated fat. Oh, and great trick with the aluminum foil!
Can I replace the chickpeas with unflavored pea protein ? And what portions? .. i got a pea protein that I don’t like the taste of in smoothies and I’m trying to figure out what do with it
Can I use rice and pea protein powder? If not, could you please do more high protein, low calorie recipes that don't need milk protein? I don't use animal products or soy, and it is hard to find high protein and low calorie recipes without them. The plant proteins work bit different in means of absorbing liquids and have different texture, I think.
Wow, this is interesting. Using chickpeas for that sounds odd but I will definitely try it out! What do you think? How long can I store them in the fridge until they get bad?
Technically yes but you would have to subtract that from the chickpeas. Instead, just take the calories that are written on the can for the net chickpeas and you are good :)

To be honest no not really. Bulgur has the same calories as flour and almonds even double the amount so I'm not really sure, sorry

In general, is it better to go with Casein protein powder when baking?
That's not always the case. Casein holds more liquid and makes cakes moist but it also don't rise. SO it really depends
What an interesting way to use chickpeas! I have a huge stash of dry chickpeas and I'm always looking for healthy ways to use them.

one can of chickpeas is usually 400 grams and its drained weight is 220g so the liquid is about 180g
I am allergic to nuts, any suggestions for something to substitute , or would they still taste good even without peanut butter / powder ?
You will need something that replicate the creaminess of PB. I would add the same amount calories from butter

I wonder if its possible to make it without the PB2 to keep the calories lower and use something less calorie dense.
Zero cal syrup maybe
