    Very cool recipe! But please don't put an arrow pointing to one serving of an entire recipe and imply that a single piece is 100g protein. It's a little misleading :(

    I use chana flour to make so many good foods. Living in the largest Punjabi population outside of India, it is very affordable. Also lots of cool recipes

    I tried out this recipe today and it is absolutely amazing! Asked my family to try and guess what it was made out of and they couldn't believe there were any chickpeas in this :)

    scrunch up your parchment paper into a ball before you lay it into your tray :) trust me, it'll nestle right in there once it's all creased up

    Great recipe! Do you know any reasonable trade-off to cut down carbs? A magic flour like bulgur or almond or something? Never tried myself anything such.

      To be honest no not really. Bulgur has the same calories as flour and almonds even double the amount so I'm not really sure, sorry

    In general, is it better to go with Casein protein powder when baking?

      That's not always the case. Casein holds more liquid and makes cakes moist but it also don't rise. SO it really depends

    If I make these with garbanzo beans that I've made in the Instant Pot, would I use the liquid from the IP in place of the liquid in the can? Approximately how much liquid is that?

      one can of chickpeas is usually 400 grams and its drained weight is 220g so the liquid is about 180g

    I am allergic to nuts, any suggestions for something to substitute , or would they still taste good even without peanut butter / powder ?

      You will need something that replicate the creaminess of PB. I would add the same amount calories from butter

      Idk if it would work, but I think Asian groceries usually carry a toasted soy powder that is used as a topping for Mochi and stuff. It has a nutty flavor and would probably act as a good substitute for pb powder? Or you could use sunbutter/ sunflower seed spread

    do have a recommendation for a substitute for the coconut oil? I'm really not a fan of using it since it's so high in saturated fat. Oh, and great trick with the aluminum foil!

      You can use almond milk and plant based protein powder but texture and taste will be different

    Can I use rice and pea protein powder? If not, could you please do more high protein, low calorie recipes that don't need milk protein? I don't use animal products or soy, and it is hard to find high protein and low calorie recipes without them. The plant proteins work bit different in means of absorbing liquids and have different texture, I think.

      Technically yes but you would have to subtract that from the chickpeas. Instead, just take the calories that are written on the can for the net chickpeas and you are good :)

    I hate that when you write high protein recipes every single one uses protein powder... Some people don't buy protein powder and don't want to use it

      It's fine, not everyone needs to eat protein powder (even tho it's basically milk). I have all the ingredients listed in the description. You can check at the beginning if you see protein powder and quit if you don't like it. Thanks for watching

      None, protein doesn't degrade after baking. It already gets heated in the process of milk becoming protein powder
