My favorite part is when Indiana and Short are still arguing in the middle of their game while Willie is screaming at ALL creatures at night. I just can't help it 🤣
Blue: "If I met that many different animals all at once, I would feel so lucky."
10 minutes later
*sees room full of hundreds of different bugs*
Blue: "Not like this." lol
Temple of Doom and Return of the Jedi were the first two VHS tapes i ever owned. I still have them actually.
I have vivid memories of seeing this in the theater with my parents as a kid. My mom hid her eyes behind her coat during the human sacrifice scene. I, on the other hand, thought it was awesome.
Same, it was so cool and badass
My favorite scene in the whole series that uses the main Indiana Jones music is at the end when they return to the village. The music really works great with all the images.
What was that form of transportation in the beginning? It’s called a rickshaw.
Willie Scott screamed 71 times in under 2 hours. That's enough times for someone to go count them.
Short Round, Ke Huy Quan, was also featured in The Goonies.
It took me forever to realize this, but this movie takes place a year before Raiders of the Lost Ark, which is a little crazy. But anyway, it's so cool that you're watching these! So excited for the next one!
A lot of people say the quote they remember from this movie is: "kali ma"
Mine: "INNNNDDDDDIIIIEEEE"
My favorite of the series. It's dark and yet slapstick, Willie is the ultimate Damsel in Distress satire, and Short Round is the best sidekick ever.
Indy has to have his hat, otherwise we would be able to tell when the stuntman took over.
These movies were my childhood. Temple of Doom is still my favorite. Shorty was my hero when I was little lol.
Same, growing up most movies had a kid sidekick that was annoying or always needing rescue. Short round not only saved the day but kicked ass👏
The kid playing Short-Round is also in the movie “The Goonies” which is fun adventure comedy you might like if you haven’t already seen it.
Bootytraps!
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 That's what I said!
Double 0 negative
He was great in Everything, Everywhere All at Once.
"She is so blonde ... not to be stereotypical ..." LMAO
"At least eat first." ...
Very funny reaction, lots of funny one-liners. 19:51 What was THAT? LOL
Nice one! Please continue :-D
8:31 that’s pretty hilarious, too
That They're guard snatching Short Round and Willie always gets me.
Except for the close ups on Ford, the entire mine fight sequence was filmed with Ford's stunt double, Vic Armstrong, because Ford was in the hospital with a back injury. When he got out he film just the close up coverage of certain parts of the fight. That's why all the rest of the fight is shot from behind Indy or they hid his face.
_"I've always wanted to ride an elephant!"_
I've done that-Willie poured perfume on that critter for a reason...
NICE! One of my absolute favorite childhood movies, would constantly watch this and everyone was freaked out because I liked the palace dinner scene and _that_ scene with the heart when I wasn’t even ten
This franchise is great and I hope you see more from it
2:58 No, he hasn’t learned anything yet. This is a prequel.
7:15 Fun fact... Harrison Ford does know how to fly in real life. He’s a bigtime aviation enthusiast.
15:30 The food is supposed to be a tell that something is seriously wrong.
25:37 Whitey’s gotta pay, and the payment is baby hands (if you don’t get this reference, react to Llamas With Hats).
I kind of want to write an epic crossover fan fic where Short Round and R2-D2 go around saving a bunch of different people’s asses now.
The Temple of Doom is pretty insane and intense. Like some dark magic that becomes real and horrific. But there are still some good stuff to enjoy.
Willie played by Cate Capshaw, who is actually became the wife of Steven Spielberg in 1991. They are still together today.
35:16 I had to rewatch as my ear initially heard this as, "I feel like she's just creaming no matter what happens." Lucky woman.
Fun fact: The big guard that's fighting Indy and getting crushed in the stone machine was also the nazi bald guy fighting him in the airfield in the 1st movie.
he also appears in Last Crusade.
Fun fact: Kathleen Kennedy (then a producer, now head of Lucasfilm) was one of the dancers in silver during the opening number.
@@Voltar right? I can no longer beat my meat to the intro.
"I fucking hate centipedes!!"
The Human Centipede movie: "Sorry, you say something?"
It took a few rewatchings but I ended up enjoying Mrs. Spielberg's screaming-prowess.
Another masterpiece! One of the inspirations for the PG-13 ratings aka ripping someone’s heart out is too much for a Pg rating
Well back then it was either G, or M, so yea some things needed to be modified in the rating system
Not worse than Ray getting a beejer from a succubus groupie in Ghostbusters
Spielberg wanted to do a musical, and the opening number was his first real attempt at it. Almost 40 years later, he did a reimagining of his favorite one, West Side Story.
Ah - you jogged a memory. Spielberg had a big dance scene in the move "1941" - ruclips.net/video/IuckYQarNxQ/видео.html
@@kzintilord6145 Well, that seems to be just a scene where dancing is involved. Temple is actually shot and choreographed like a movie musical.
The idea behind the feast scene was that it was all wrong. It wasn't typical Indian food by any standards, and the fact that everybody was treating it as normal was meant to be a sign that something is subtly off about the people involved.
But very few people know much about traditional Indian cuisine, so it goes over most of their heads.
I just figured it was rich people food. They crazy like that sometimes.
More of the kid Short Round (Ke Huy Quan) in The Goonies, if you haven't seen it yet. Another Stephen Spielberg-produced film; also stars Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee) and Josh Brolin (Thanos) as kids.
I laugh everytime I see Mola Ram roll away laughing from Indie.
Love his perfect evil villain laugh. Too bad he died in this movie. He is the type that should always get away to make more trouble later, and he did. If only he didn't betray Shiva saying the stones are his. Can't escape a god.
I like this movie, it isn't... scary but has darkness, and of course there is the "modified" Indy theme song as short round escapes the mine.
Plus the goofy factor.
Enjoyed watching this react. Keep up the good work.
when my brother and sister and dad and I saw this in 1984, when I was 11, it blew our minds. it was unparalled entertainment!
Your reactions are the BEST. So genuine, please keep them coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The cinematography in this movie is absolutely gorgeous, and is among the best of Spielberg's career.
People hate on this one all the time. I love it.
🤷🏼♂️No apologies.
All 3 are great.
This is one of the films that contributed to the PG-13 movie rating. This is a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark and focuses on ancient Hindu culture as opposed to Hebrew or Christianity. The actress playing Willie, Kate Capshaw, was deliberately made to be different from Marian and even had to dye her hair from brown to blonde
"You guys are really bad shots!" George Lucas borrowed his Imperial Stormtrooper extras.
nice.. i cant wait for Part 3, its my fav Indy Movie.
Blue, did you notice the *name* of the nightclub on the marquee? It’s Club *Obi-Wan* #starwarsreference
That kid Ke Huy Kwan is in the new comedy martial arts film "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once". He plays Michelle Yeoh's husband... it's the first major film hes been in since The Goonies (1985). Simce the 80s hes been working in filmmaking, behind the scenes.
He did have a small role in the 1992 film "Encino Man" starring Brendan Fraser, Sean Astin and Pauly Shore.
What I wouldn't give to play Michelle Yeoh's husband... lol
Lot of fun and decidedly darker and more dangerous - the film (along w/GREMLINS in the same summer of '85) launched the PG-13 rating by the MPAA. Your goofy laugh is intoxicating Blue - nice job reacting. PS: the continuity w/Capshaw's footwear in the final acts have her in sandals most of the time until the arrival of the village barefoot (but in a few shots she's sans).
I am Indiana Jones fan. I like all indiana jones PC video games, movies and young indiana jones TV series. I have all indiana jones PC video games, movies and TV series too. 🤠👌👍
i was so happy to see that Indy was more focused on the mystery and not focused on Willie.
43:06 LOL, the ring light reflection in Trixy's glasses looked like eyes - made her look like a cartoon, haha.
An adorable cartoon. :-P
People are too hard on this movie. I think it's actually perfect for kids despite the disturbing subject matter. Because you get to see all the kids get freed and short round gets to fight. I remember rooting for them as a kid.
Anyone else noticed the inconsistent line in RAIDER OF THE LOST ARK,? When Indy says he doesn't believe in magic, but in this PREQUEL he obviously saw magic in use.
He also seems to have forgotten that he killed Dracula, too...
To be fair, just because Indy saw one supernatural thing doesn’t mean he’ll immediately believe in the supernatural, afterwards, especially since the existence of one supernatural object doesn’t automatically validate the existence of another one. For example, just because coelacanths are still alive after they were thought to have gone extinct doesn’t mean that Otodus megalodon could still be alive, despite being thought to be extinct.
LOL, Trixy said "booby traps" after Indy finds the secret "boobie" entrance.
Blue: This woman is in for a roller coaster.
Me: um....yeah... about that...
“Are they going to eat him?”
No, but they are gonna cook him. Well done, beyond crispy, no less. 😂🔥
I want a Short Round spin off movie series with him as an adult, or even young adult!!!
He is briefly in a movie called finding ohana that is like the goonies on netflix.
"Now let's get out of here!"
"Right. *ALL* of us..."
I like this one. it's more fast paced than the others and holds my attention. looking forward to seeing your reaction to the third one
Just answering the "How do you do that?" question at the dance show intro - you film it in reverse.
(But that is not to distract from the choreography the dancers still had to do.)
Blue: I hate centipedes. Us: Just wait.
Good to see ya blue this movie was awesome
You should check out two movies if you like action adventure movies like Indiana Jones ... "The Adventures of Tintin" (also a Spielberg movie) and "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow."
Despite Willie and Short Round's constant screaming and yelling----it's a very solid Act I and Act III---the only weak part for is when they're in the actual Temple of Doom, where it got bogged down for awhile---but the escape from the temple and bridge scenes are worth waiting for, bookending the Shanghai escape and palace intrigue in the beginning nicely. Even with it flaws, it's 1,000 times better than that "Skull" garbage sequel.
22:13 Kate Capshaw disgust screams were not simulated.
Stewie:"lady only here because banging director"🤣
Lovely and great Reaction video!
Don't look for too much logic in this film. Just roll with it.
There are some inside references and mimicry of the movie Gunga Din. Check out Retroblasting’s RUclips video of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
The classic Wilhelm scream
1. Many folks don't care for this one very much but I do.
2. Just a small suspension of belief regarding the lifeboat drop out of the plane🙄
3. When I was in the US Navy I got to eat monkey (but not monkey brains) and dog in the Philippines.
4, Shortround is "Billy Badass"🤬😎
5. Disneyland already has a "Temple of the Lost Ark" so another one of the ride through
the tunnel/mine would be cool too.
5. You, "She is so blonde".🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
6. Kate Capshaw got the Willie gig because she was dating and later became
Spielberg wife.
7. A fun movie similar to this is, 'Romancing the Stone"
Kali mah!! KALI MAH!!! LOL
Blue, you looked away, when Indi found the cards hidden up Shortrounds sleve. Shortround was also cheating
Sometimes in movies the simplest way to make special effects is just run the film backwards. Willie is the least favorite girl in Indiana's movies. Other than Stephen Spielberg married her. Short round is known for Temple of Doom an The Goonies. In the Indy timeline this movie happens before Raiders of the lost Ark. The heart grab thing is one of those Psychic healers tricks where they appear to reach into the body and pull out what ails you. The life raft parachute. The girl afraid of everything.. The weirdass nontraditional food. The crazy mine cart ride. The dried up village being green again. Just way too much stuff. That being said there are people who like this. I give it an 8 on the that's just not right meter. Did I enjoy it? I hate to say it was okay. Not as okay as I had hoped but, just okay. You Blue are better than okay. You're fiiiiine.
Can’t wait till you see The Last Crusade. Best of the franchise.
I like all three movies. Can't wait to watch your reaction to my favourite of them, The Last Crusade :o).
yeah!!! Love it! Please get your selfe.... I love your reaction!
And now, The Last Crusade...
1:57
Willie’s screaming gets really old really fast.
12:50 You used to be blonde. Might as well be a scream queen.
YAY
This would’ve been nice to watch with Magy. ☺️
Anything Goes
Hello Blue how are you today? Great reaction. 👍
Happy Saint Patrick's day and also barely yesterday was my birthday.
People complain about Willie being annoying...she is...but in her defense she deserved NONE of what she went thru🤣
What do you do after..? Go for dinner? How's the kids? That's funny.
Those kids turning on their captors is like when the Ewoks attacked the Imperial forces.
Harrison Ford is making indiana Jones 5
You are learning why Spielberg is famous
The Darkest Indiana Jones Movie Ever.
3편 ㄱ
The thuggees gave the world the word, thug. The kids were mining for the last 2 stones.
👏👏👏👏👏
don't believe haters, the 4th one is good too.
hello, I recommend the movie "Midnight in Paris", starring Owen Wilson. please its very funny, Pd eres increible.
Willie could have avoided all of this if she hadn't tried to kill Indy at the beginning by withholding the anti-dote. She deserved everything she got.
what a mess in the begining... so funny :)
You are correct that isn't true Indian cuisine.
India was so offended by a number of things that the Indian Gov ban this film.
If you react to 'Top Secret' starring a very young Val Kilmer, I and many people I know will become subscribers. Funny movie.
A long long time ago... Google this harrison ford reunited with ke huy quan Just found out about you yesterday, are you Swiss? Love your hair!
When I was little watching this, I thought the Maharajah was a girl.
Can you react to the stargate movie?
React to blade
Do you ever get any vitamin D?
Fun fact: this is the film that created PG-13
The director of this movie wanted the girl to eat a live bug and she keep refusing the director keep pushing then she thought she could out smart him and said if you do it then I’ll do it so the director eat a bug so she had to the worst thing is they cut it out of the movie
