I think we can all agree that seeing dinosaurs 🦖 automatically makes you feel like a kid again and it’s such a delightful experience, can’t wait to see more from you guys
Favorite moment from all three movies is when they first see the Brachiosaurus at the beginning of the first movie. It really captures the essence of what John Hammond was attempting to do, even if he didn’t fully understand what he was getting himself into. It’s such an amazing concept and really points out the greed of humanity and how, even though we try, we cannot control everything.
Fun Fact: that nightmare Dr Grant has about the Velociraptor calling him Alan is actually foreshadowed by the earlier scene of him trying to get Ellie’s pet bird to say his name just before they had their conversation about raptor intelligence and vocalisation.
It’s also such a perfect setup. You don’t think about where the phone was and you’re distracted by the reunion to worry about it until he mentions it and they turn around. Great scene
@@OfficialMediaKnightssharktopus Is a good movie series for you guys to react to, if you were to react to this movie and the 2 more movies they made from it.Be interesting to see your reaction to it
Reminds me of the side books to the Starwars franchise. There is a group of books about Wedge Antilles and the OG's of Rogue Squadron. Wedge was my childhood hero.
Yes, it is a good line. It is not an original though, but rather an adaptation of something Oscar Wilde said: "It is always with the best intentions that the worst work is done."
A few weeks after the movie came out I had the ringtone from the movie on my phone. I was in public and then my phone went off. Some people turned their heads, nodding and smiling. From that you could tell who had been to the theaters 😄
The Spinosaurus in this movie is called Asset 87, and was hyper aggressive as a side effect of the augmentations it received in its creation, which was practice for creating the hybrid experiments that come later. Its still alive in the canon and has grown even larger. This movie is responsible for my love of the Spinosaurus, but my favorite scene in the franchise is the first Rex encounter from the original film.
@@friendlyreptile9931 but those type of things DO matter. Like the dino that couldn't get on the boat in JW2 being the first full dino we ever saw in JP. We wouldn't know that if the studio didn't tell us.
@@wakoblank Than people would have theories and it still dosnt matter b.c. they even tell shit that isn't fitting in the story like the t-rex enclosure drop in JP1.
My biggest issue with this movie was how everything got wrapped up so quickly at the end, it felt like they realised they only had 5 mins left of the runtime and had to close all the storylines. They return the eggs, walk 6 foot and there's the navy coming to save them, oh and this guy is still alive.
I feel the exact same way. It's the only movie in this franchise without a proper finale. It just... ends. I remembered being *_really_* disappointed the first time I saw it in the theater.

22:34 one of my favorite lines in the movie "this is how you make dinosaurs?" "No, this is how you play God" 31:30 another great line "what if they catch us with them?" "What if they catch us without them?" 33:00 "oh my God" "what is it?" "It's a birdcage" "for what?"
Its a birdcage for something that is not even remotely related to birds at all In fact a Trex or any other theropod is way more related to birds Pterosaurs are not birds Not even dinosaurs Its like calling a gliding Lizard a snake Both came from the same thing yet they arent are so far apart from both a taxonomical standpoint and an anatomical one
The real animal, Spinosaurus Aegipticus (lit. Spined Lizard of Egypt) was the longest land carnivore ever too. With Giganotosaurus Carolinii (lit. Carolini's Giant Southern Lizard) being the tallest, but recent studies shown that one of its cousins, Carcharodontosaurus Saharicus (Lit. Shark toothed lizard of Sahara) being really close in size to it, meaning it was bigger than previously thought. C. Saharicus also lived at the same place and time as Spinosaurus But i doubt they interacted that much And Tyrannosaurus Rex (lit. Tyrant Lizard King) being the heaviest
Random Fun fact: The rifle used at the beginning is an M82A2 Barrett, which has to be fired from over the shoulder, only 10 were ever built making them extremely rare, and they were made to shoot down helicopters. Love yalls reactions👍👍
@Unbearable_Truth it roars before the shots ring out. Its possible considering the mercs hadn't seen a dino up close, let alone a giant like the Spino, that they got rattled and missed. If they did hit the Spino, they didn't do much to slow it down
wich i have never understood. people will defend the dinosaurs not looking or acting like their real life counterparts, because for all intents and purposes they are genetic freaks, yet its like that fact goes over peoples heads when remebering spino and spark countless discussions about how a spino could never kill a trex.... even if you dont consider its genetic composition and even if at the time we werent aware of the fact the spino could have very well been the first hybrid (wich is just a theory) it still isnt necessarily stronger, thats why it uses its longer neck, height and arms to break the neck and doesnt just win by bite force. comment sections were so annoying back then, just people salty A rex lost a fight. thankfully people have turned around on spino recently..

@@samuraibeluga3749 Believe me when I say a lot of people are still salty about that. When Colin Trevorrow was asked in an interview which was the strongest dinosaur in the franchise and responded “Spinosaurus”, people started harassing him in Twitter and people that worked in JWD, asking for “explanations”
Nice! I saw this in the theater with my parents and we loved it! This was the final chapter in the JURASSIC PARK series, until 2015, JURASSIC WORLD was released. This film has some problems behind the scenes as Joe Johnston, director of the movie, hated the original script, calling it "a bad episode of FRIENDS" as it was going to involve teenagers getting stranded on Isla Sorna following a plane crash. They encounter a strange hermit living in a treehouse, who turns out to be Alan Grant, having snuck onto the island to study the dinosaurs in their natural habitat. The T.Rex animatronic had its head torn off by the Spinosaurus during a fight scene that was filmed but cut from the movie, yet parts can be seen in the trailer. Filming had begun before a script was even finished. It took 9 months to film the movie, which gave the VFX artists plenty of time to create the CGI dinosaurs. The film was a box office success making, $369 million dollars against a $90 million dollar budget. It received mostly negative reviews from critics, yet Roger Ebert called it the best in the series.
Always interesting to hear Robert Ebert’s thoughts! They definitely gave us a double dose of fun with this one but we felt it lacking in the character department. Aside from that, the Dinos are still impressive and they managed to give us a concise fun thrill ride.
@@OfficialMediaKnights IMO at least, The character moments shine a bit more on multiple watches, once the "shock" wears out and you're able to see past the dinosaurs and between the lines there is a real heart to this movie. Probably why I like it so much.
@@OfficialMediaKnightsit did NOT get mostly negative it got mixed and positive with negative from fans of Steven Speilbergs jurassic two films and it was still a success with people around the world!
Funny thing is, Roger Ebert's critic opinion on films is almost always the polar opposite of the rest of humanity. If Ebert hates a film, it's almost certainly to be a blockbuster & destined to be a fan favorite. If he loves it, it'll be a dud in theaters and score terribly on sites like RottenTomatoes.
They should never have ditched the original script. It had more scope. Paul Kirby originally was Paul Roby an actual millionaire who neglects his child a bit too often. So he takes him on a fly around to Isla Sorna and invites Grant & Billy (so they get funded). Paul doesn't have a wife (she died a few years before) but he takes his girlfriend Susan along. Cooper is the bodyguard who is basically the kid's best friend... the kid was called Miles (later changed to Eric). While they get stranded on Isla Sorna there is a decision made to bomb the island since attacks on the mainland by Pteranodons are getting out of hand (the movie opened with this)... so that starts a race against the clock. The Spinosaurus (or Baryonyx I dont remember) goes after the group because the group killed one of the young. The script was a bit edgier. Susan gets killed.
A channel on here that focuses on Jurassic Park lore talked about the young Spino being unalived and that being the reason the adult Spino was constantly on their tail throughout the movie. To get revenge. I felt that definitely should’ve stayed in.
It would be cool to see what HAPPENED on this island. like isle nublar had the energy sabotage problem so everything spiraled. but what about this one? were they attacked too or just were ordered to leave, then cut the energy cause no human would be there anyways and eventually the dinos got out
@@kejow. now that you mentioned it. That should be something to revisit. Maybe sequel/prequel or a midquel (telling of a story that took place during events of a movie. Bambi II is an example of one where it tells what Bambi was up to after his mom was k!lled and his dad took him in). Go back and tell how the crew on site B had to get outta there. Or even a limited series of like 10 episodes
Later material would explain that after the events of TLW the Masrani Corporation would buy out Ingen and Masrani had a team of scientists and researchers go to Isla Sorna to conduct research on ways to better extract and clone genetic material. All of the new dinosaurs (Spinosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Corythosaurus, Ceratosaurus, and the new Pteranodons and Velociraptors) were created and experimented on during the eight months the Masrani team was there. After they were finished they simply let the animals loose and left, which caused a severe ecological change to the island. The Spinosaurus especially remembered all of the testing done on it and had a hatred for humans, which is why it was so determined to kill the characters. Behind the scenes, the movie had a very troubled production. They went through so many ideas and scripts that changes to the script were still being done during filming, which is why there's a lot of haphazard scenes and things that are brought up then dropped almost immediately, one of the big ones being what killed the boat drivers in the beginning.
So the scenes inside the aviary and the river chase from the Spinosaurus (originally T-Rex) are actually scenes from the original Jurassic Park book that had to be cut from the final movie for runtime and budget reasons. And honestly they were the best scenes of the movie.
It's been a long time since I read the original JP book, but I think there was a scene of them peacefully floating down the river and seeing herbivores.
The classic fate of good trilogies: first one is groundbreaking, second one scales up the action and third one is ok to watch. Its the same with Alien or Terminator
Oh here we go!!! It's pouring rain, I'm wrapped in a blanket, got my coffee, geeet it!! I loved JP III honestly. Even though people say it was like an extra movie, it had unused parts from the original book, which is what the first movie is largely based on. The bird cage scene and the river were both in the original book. It's a good read. You get more details about what happened to Nedry too.
Just to note, panicking people ARE incompetent, no matter the training. As soon as they start panicking, it goes out the window. For example the training soldiers go through is all about repetition, making sure everything they learn they can do even whilst panicking and the other half of training is raising the trainees' stress tolerance so they can stay competent as long as needed to stay alive. Still even soldiers have their limits for example those soldiers who can shoot 8-10/10 on the range miss most of their shots during combat, it's because of several psychological effects, not just stress. Funnily enough average people running around screaming like headless chicken is the most realistic part of these films.
Exactly. It honestly kinda irks me when people watching these movies start insulting, or getting mad at the people for reacting that way. It's 100% natural to react that way and they're literally being an armchair quarterback in their hoodies and PJs like they wouldn't react the same way if they were thrown into that situation 😂
The panicking, I totally understand. The landing on a dinosaur island and shouting through a blow horn, making noise that could draw large predatory animals, that was stupid.
A RUclipsr called Klayton Fioriti, who focuses on this franchise, made a video talking about why the Spino was so relentless. If I remember correctly, there was a version of the script in which the mercenaries encountered and were attacked by baby Spinosaurs. They killed the babies, which enraged the parent(s) into attacking them. I believe they also killed one of the adults leaving this last one as the big baddie. Plus it's believed that they injured the Spino with the plane propellers in the failed takeoff scene. That's why there was blood on the windshield in that scene.
I LOVE Klaytons video. And yeah, as the person in the other comment said, I don’t remember babies of the spinosauraus being mentioned (though I’d have to go back and watch the video Klayton did about this) but I’m pretty sure his dna was altered to make it more aggressive. Couple that with the fact that, as the other comment pointed out, it was tortured by Ingen for months, it essentially turned the Spinosaurus into a psychopath
This is my favorite of the original trilogy, lots of nostalgia here, as a kid I watched this movie over and over again for many summers. Excited to see y'all's reactions for the sequel trilogy. Just found y'all's channel a few days ago and y'all are already one of my favorite reaction channels.

@@mongolen-kn2ycLost World is one of the worst ones. The first 2/3 of LW is pretty great, the last bit is so bad, it gets dropped substantially. The first is the best, and its not even close. @@OfficialMediaKnights I remember that as well when the Tyrannosaurus was defeated by the Spinosaurus I was a little salty too but the Spino had the advantage having a longer jaw
The T-Rex was supposed to have the thicker skin and neck! There’s no way the Spino could snap its neck like that 😭 Haha All good I’m just a big T-Rex defender here. I wouldn’t mind another fight like that even if the T-Rex does lose, just make the fight a bit longer and go toe to toe!
@@JTOCIII it is a scientific fact that if a t-rex ever fought a spino, the t-rex would have won pretty easily. But the problem is that the movie goes out of that way to make the spinosaurus the new big bad dino of the franchise, going as far has changing the logo from the rex to spino, which triggered a lot of fans. Also, the fact that the spino won so easily in that 30 seconds fight made a lot of people actually think that spinos were way stronger than t-rexs wich is scientifically incorrect. Even though its my least favorite of the trilogy, there's still a lot of cool moments like the birdcage sequence, or the many raptors scenes.
You two are by far the best and my favorite movie reaction channel. I love how you genuinely get invested enjoy the ride of every film. Also I love how you comment and share your filmmaking knowledge without being pretentious. I love the Jurassic franchise. I never get tired of them.
The compy venom was a numbing narcotic, as the book described it "You'd just fall right to sleep" after being bitten enough to stop feeling the nibbling.
Fun fact (and minor spoilers for Jurassic World): Extended lore explains that Masrani bought Ingen at some point between Lost World and 3. The new dinosaurs seen here were new ones created getting ready for World and the Spinosaurus was one of the first hybrid experiments. (Of course a lot of this was retroactively added in, this wasn’t the case when the movie first came out)
@@Unbearable_TruthWell not a full-on hybrid but didn’t they mess with its genes a bit? Wasn’t it part of the early amalgam testing that led to full hybrids? I could just be mis-remembering stuff.
@@Wyattoons The amalgamation testing was done on all illegally cloned species. The ruffled feathers document was a reference to the JP3 variant Raptors given their high intelligence and quills. The Spinosaurus is no different than the other Ingen dinosaurs.
I honestly didn’t like the dig at Ian, He was the first one who not only called out what was wrong about the park but also WHY it was wrong and WHO was wrong, He may come off as the extravagant ladies man but he’s the one who went through this two times over and has every right to be “Preachy”. What they were doing was wrong and he’s apart of the reason Hammond turned into the man we see in Lost World.
But…it IS preachy. Especially when you realize a lot of his lines are factually and provably WRONG. An example being when he says “ You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could.” Literally EVERY modern advancement was because we stood on the shoulders of others and took the next step. Are the people who build trains and cars NOT supposed to stand on the shoulders of the people who invented the wheel? Another example: “ what you call discovery, I call the rape of the natural world.” So what, don’t discover new things and don’t make progress? He also keeps making nature out to be some omnipotent god who CHOSE dinosaurs to go extinct. NO! Nature is not sentient and did not intentionally crash an asteroid into itself! All of these lines are obviously Crichton anti-science lines that I wish were cut. Anyway, that’s why I think Erik was justified in calling Malcom preachy and full of himself. Because he IS because Crichton wrote him to be that way.
I’d also like to clarify, I’m NOT siding with InGen or Hammond. They’re sketchy and what they did was wrong. It’s a case of InGen is wrong, but Malcom is also wrong in his reasoning as to why.
Very underrated out of the franchise but ot was a really good movie. You guys ate keep spoiling us with excellent movies. Thanks for that. Love you guys keep them coming❤❤❤
It was like a 6/10 movie for me. The dinosaurs were quite good (if we ignore the Brachiosaurus), the fight scenes were ok, but the plot was just lacking too much imo. I also think if they wanted to bring in a new "big bad" dinosaur, they don't HAVE to have it kill of a Rex. Like come on bro. Still was a good movie. Worst in the JP, second worst in Jurassic - 6/10
The problem with this film is that they began shooting it with a story that was constructed 5 weeks before. Despite coming up with the final idea for Jurassic Park III, David Koepp had no involvement in the film. Steven Spielberg was also not present as an on-set as executive producer. Johnston decided to break up Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) because he didn't see them as a couple. A final draft of the screenplay was never completed during production and Johnston stated that they "had no document". They would only shoot the pages they had on the day or as far as a week in advance. Johnston also said the joke on the set was that a completed final screenplay would be the wrap gift for the cast and crew. Unsurprisingly, Jurassic Park III was a difficult shoot. Johnston admitted that making the film was "a living hell on a daily basis". The director found shooting without a finished script "nerve-wracking, but it was also a way of freeing up the whole creative process. We could literally decide on the day how we wanted a scene to progress." William H. Macy was vocal about his displeasure with the production, stating, "Who launched a $100 million ship without a rudder, and who's getting fired for this?' But that's the way it goes... I think someone should be shot, but I'm not in charge." While Jurassic Park III lacks the magic of Spielberg's original, the film does have its fans who enjoy it as a straightforward thrill ride.
If you go through to Dominion, make sure you watch the extended edition. It is SOOOO much better than the theatrical version, and the director said that one is what he wanted to release, but the studio made him cut it down.
Great reaction you two! 😊 Congratulations on completing the "Jurassic Park" part of the Jurassic movie series. I enjoyed this one. Not as much as the first two movies. But I still pretty much enjoy it. The cast is great. We've got William H. Macy and Tèa Leoni along with the return of Sam Neil as Dr. Alan Grant. And a brief appearance by Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler. Now, on to the "Jurassic World" trilogy as part of your Jurassic journey. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊
Always a good day when y'all pop up in the feed! I still remember going to see this in theaters when I was maybe 4(?) and being absolutely mind blown. Not as amazing on re-watches as I grew up but still love it. Still think that aviary scene is hype, and also always found it funny how the spino basically turned into the croc from peter pan.
Omg, I love love LOVE you guys, but hearing Ari say his first theater experience was this movie got me right in the aging millennial part of me!😭😂😂😂 I also hope you guys do give the Jurassic World Trilogy a watch. They take an interesting progression from the end of this movie and what we know of the park and the dinosaurs and InGen. I think you'd like them. Anyway, I'm glad to see this next chapter with you guys as always! Also, "It's the incompetence!!!" should be on a piece of merch for the channel!😂

Billy gets such a bad rep, like yeah he make stupid decision but almost if not all decisions he makes in this movie he make them thinking on helping Alan, and then at the end he didnt hesitate to put himself in danger to save Eric. Justice to my boy Billy
This film is strangely sentimental to me. I saw JP3 opening night on a date with the girl who became my first love. She tragically passed away a couple years ago, but I'll never forget that night in 2001. So, while not a particularly great film by any means, it is very near and dear to my heart.
I broke up with my first boyfriend while watching Chicken Little... We remained friends, but he passed away in a car accident a few years after high school. 🫂🫂🫂
For a reason. Do you recall the blood that was on the jet's windshield? That DID NOT came from Cooper! The rotors from the jet actually cut the Spinosaur's fin, and it was PISSED throughout the entire movie because of it.
The reason why asset 87 want to kill all the humans is not because of the plane but because he hates humans and want to tortured them. The spino was tortured since he was a new born by the scientist of InGen.
The ceratosaurus (red one with the nose horn) didn't want to eat them because they were covered in shit. Either that or it couldn't smell them. Also the "flying ones" were pteranodon, a type of pterosaur. "Pterodactyl" isn't an actual thing, but there was one called "pterodactylus" but that only had like a 3-4 foot wingspan. "Pterosaur" is the group that includes both of them, like how "bird" includes a bunch of different types and groups. Pterosaurs were a wide and diverse group. And they were NOT dinosaurs, the same way that alligators and snakes are not dinosaurs. But- a fun fact- birds ARE dinosaurs, so funnily enough there are flying dinosaurs and they're still around. (And that does mean birds are, scientifically, reptiles. Unless you prefer polyphyly or paraphyly (i forget the difference) instead of monophyly but that's a whole other can of worms.)
I always liked the smaller more slasher vibe scale of this one. Small group getting picked off one by one. It was very fun and scary. Plus the addition of the pterodactyls was cool
fun fact! Michael Chriton's book ended at the second movie, and everything afterwards uses his concepts without crediting him! even up to Blue in Jurassic World! [edit] so michael chriton isn't the original author but he wrote the story for the movies
I saw this in the theater when it came out in '01. I actually liked it a bit more than The Lost World: Jurassic Park. It's the shortest movie of the whole franchise at just a measly 92 minutes.
Alessandro Nivola, who played Billy, is one of my favorite underrated character actors. He's so good in The Many Saints of Newark and was Castor Troy's brother in Face/Off
While JP 3 isn't as good as JP 1 and 2, I do like this movie. But then again I love the T-Rex and the Raptors. I hope you both watch the next Jurassic trilogy. I enjoy seeing your reactions. It reminds me of my own reactions when I first saw these movies.
I love the moment when we all realize where the ringtone came from, terrifyingly funny🤣🤣 And I think the red dino didn't attack them because they all smell like poop from trying to find the cellphone and they didn't move, so it probably thought that they're just...poop😂
Loved the O.G Jurassic Park Trilogy!!!!............ absolutely can't wait for you guys to react to the Newer ones... I actually think they're a lot of fun & LOVE all the new dino's they have!
The Red Dinosaur that showed up after they found the phone is called a "Ceratosaurus." Think of a small T-Rex with a horn on it's nose. Oh and the reason it turned and left them alone was because of how they "smelled." No meal was worth it. 😑
16:35 Tbf the whole Trex can't see you if you don't move is a myth, they could see and had a great sense of smell so standing still isn't going to make you invisible to it.
This was never a plot point in the books and is even used as a gag in thr second book where the antagonists read an incorrect paleoentogical report stating that and the Rex eats them while Malcolm finds it laughable that they would believe such outlandish theories
in the last scene with the confrontation with the raptors. Allen used the raptor larynx to pretend to call for help. The other raptors thought he was calling help from his pack. Because of this, they didnt want a fight and just wanted to protect their young and dipped out with the prize.
43:54 Landed in the river. Must have washed him out to sea. Pteranodons couldn’t get him out of the water, I guess. Which is wild considering an absolute horror sequence in one of the later movies. 😂
When I was growing up and would plan fishing trips with my grandfather I would stay at his house the night before the trip. He lived deep in the country and didn't have cable TV, but he had a decent movie collection. This was always a favorite of ours to watch together as we organized tackle for the adventure to come the following morning. This flick will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason.
With how much this film dedicated itself to using animatronics in it's dino sequences as often as possible makes it a huge achievement. The spinosaurus in his two big sequences with the plane and the boat are still so impressive to me as so much of that was a full sized animatronic, the clever uses of raptor animatronics as well particularly the scene with Udeski getting pinned down with the claw in his back was a great way of getting that animatronic to interact with an actor in the scene. The human stuff was generally mid, but the time dinos were on screen was what elevates this film.
In the original Jurassic park Novel By Michael Crichton, Tim asks Alan about his relationship with Allie to which Alan responds that Allie is his apprentice who will be getting married to a doctor next year . Alan also mentioned upon further inquiry from Tim that his wife died a long time ago . i guess that info somehow loosely came along in the movie version .
13:11 They were running there's more then one (the obvious the wound one the first one who got eaten) 22:38 The island was abandoned because of a really bad storm it was very serious one (including what happened to the main other park in jp 1) since this is a different island
This film is so underrated. In my opinion it is the second best right after the first one. Very atmospheric, the effects are GREAT for the time, no terrible cgi which totally could’ve happened. It’s exciting, we get new unique villains with the utahraptors and the spino and the goddamn terrifying pterodactyl scene. It’s so great for a lot of reasons.
@alexsim-qq3zp Yeah! I don't know why the hell now, over *_two decades_* later, some people are saying that the "raptors" in JP3 are actually utahraptors. Are they trying to come up with an explanation *_within the story_* for the change in the raptors' design or something?
you have no taste very sad. Spino is utter boring, there is no story, there is no nothing in this trash movie so bad i hate it so much should have never been released
One thing I can say is that, this was the first Jurassic Park that was NOT based off of a book by Michael Crichton. I think that's a huge factor as to why it doesn't seem to have the same scale as the other two.
Fact about the movie: The Spinosaurus was initially suppose to be the parents of an infant Spinosaurus(s). Cooper was seen bleeding running out of the forest, obviously from a small wound which would’ve been an infant Spinosaurus. That explains the three shots he fired. Thats why the Spinosaurus was so vengeful to hunt the humans down and kill them because they killed his infant. This was evenually scrapped as the movie would’ve been too long. That being said, it would’ve connected the three parties, the Kirby’s, the Raptors, and the Spinosaurus with the theme of family Another Fact is the Spinosaurus was suppose to die at the end when Allen blows the raptor call during the river scene. There the dozens of raptors were supposed to kill the Spinosaurus while the crew escaped. The filming of JP3 was atrocious and lots of rewrites occurred due to the project being switched from person to person.
That was just a scraped idea though. It's not in the story. There was also another alternate ending where the Spinosaurus attacks the military compound towards the end.
Great reaction! I think out of all the Jurassic Park movies, this one is the most underrated and doesn't get enough love. Not perfect, but I thought a solid entry in the series.
17:06 Just a heads up, the T-Rex that died in this movie was not the baby nor the dad from the second movie. It's an entirely different T-Rex which… Is confusing but convenient that there was a third adult Tyrannosaurus rex, but that doesn't mean I'm not upset about that even if it wasn't the same T-Rex, I'm still mad they killed him off like that. 😮 15:45 well when you get cut up by plane propellers you'd be pissed off too. And of course I'm guessing they shot at him so basically they've already got two strikes against them 18:42 I feel like iNgen is the umbrella Corp of the Jurassic Park franchise. 21:44 in all honesty she knew the phones weren't working, but she just wanted to go on a little faith and say what the hell may as well give it a try and if not, oh well… 24:12 fun fact, the velociraptors with the feathery crests on their heads are the males were the ones that are bald or the females 24:24 smarter than primates 29:50 the theater was dead silent when they found out where the ring was coming from that is absolutely good writing right there 33:19 Pteranodon to be exact, but yeah, not fun to be around with 42:11 I love this scene where the velociraptor mother tells the husband to back off… In her own vicious way 42:59 it was a historic event with Jurassic Park history for me for the first time the Raptors spared humans and left them alone… Sure they already killed one, but they spared the rest instead of trying to kill them
What I love about this reaction channel is that you are both full of life and positive energy! It’s addicting to be apart of and always feels good to watch
It’s definitely the case simply because 1 is such an amazing film the others unfortunately have to compete with that. They’re all fun in their own right though!
A lot of people are under the belief that the Spinosaurus was responsible for attacking the boat at the start of the film, but this isn't the case. It was supposed to have been revealed to have been the Pteranodons (we first see them in this film emerging from the fog, just like the fog the boat sailed into) but the scene where Grant and the Kirbys find that boat wreck wasn't filmed but it would have included a line where Grant warns them "They are in the trees!" after examining the wreck. A lot of people think the Pteranodons were all locked inside the aviary, at least until Amanda left the gate unlocked, but don't forget we see some wild flying ones at the end of The Lost World. Did you guys see the skull that Eric throws at the hatchlings? That *could* have been either that of Enrique (the boat captain) or his helmsman, which suggests a terrifying thought- that the pair were not killed in the attack, that they were merely snatched from the moving boat and dropped off in the nest for food for their infants, meaning they both could have literally been eaten alive by dozens of little vicious beaks. That dinosaur that approaches them when they find the phone in the dung as well was a Ceratosaurus, one of the four illegally cloned species which violated the Gene Guard Act which was brought on by the San Diego Incident. Those species were the Spinosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Corythosaurus (seen in the stampede alongside Parasaurolophus) and Ankylosaurus, seen twice in this film. Looking forward to the Jurassic World reaction! 😃
There was two species of Pteranodons in isla sorna. The first one died, we don't no how. So it's the spino. And it's now canon. Sorry about what you said... That would have been great
@@deather6412 no, it wasn't. You really think the Spino could keep up with a fast moving boat like that and snatch the two guys from it? Like I said, it was supposed to be made clear it was Pteranodons but the troubled production made it seem like they were always locked up, leading to many people incorrectly thinking it was the Spinosaurus.
@@j.m.marshall669 No it was the Spino. The other species of Pteranodons died while the other was in the bird cage. And the spino is litteraly the first hybrid who was created to kill rex and military so yeah he would have catch the boat. And maybe he was doing a surprise attack. And the Pteranodons would have been seen if it was them: but we see nothing on screen.
Got this movie for vhs along with the other two on my birthday when I was a kid. lol I was obsessed with Jurassic Park and actually liked JP3 alot. Always a treat seeing people watch it, whether they think its good or bad.
Here for the watch party!! :) I LOVE the Jurassic Park movies, this one is my least favourite of the OG trilogy but I still just like seeing dinosaurs doing dinosaur things so it holds up imo.
I feel it has got better with age. With the modern films being even more fast paced for an ever increasing ADHD audience it's actually pretty slow paced in comparison. Please consider "Falling down" with Micheal Douglas. Pop culture ledged. "I don't want lunch, I want breakfast"
I love Jurassic Park movies!! The Jurassic PARK trilogy is incredible and I would have to say that this third film is my favorite! I love the fact that they decided to use Spinosaurous Aegyptiacus which was the largest carnivorous dino!! It just makes this third film that much more interesting!!
16:48 If this was realistic, that dinosaurs neck would've snapped like a celery stick, seriously the T Rex's bite is almost as great as its weight, at almost 6 and a half tonnes, accurate Spinosaurus would never have hunted dinosaurs as big as T Rex,they would've hunted very large fish, their sail on their back wouldn't be as big and pronounced as the one in this movie and the T Rex and Spinosaurus never would've met as they would be in completely different areas of the world, if my memory serves me correctly the T Rex would reside somewhere in America and the Spinosaurus in Egypt, hence the name Spinosaurus Aegypticus, also the Velociraptors look closer to Deinonychus and Utahraptor
There's alot of speculation that the only reason why the Trex was killed was because it was the infant from the second film. Paleontologists even reviewed the fight between the rex and the spino and said no way the rex would have lost. It had the most powerful jaws in the entire dinosaur kingdom. It would have crushed the spinos throat easily with that first chomp in the fight.
42:50 So the whole Alpha/Beta thing is actually not true. The guy who came up with the theory later retracted it and said he didn't observe wolf packs for long enough. There's a social aspect, much like family groups and what you see in other animal packs.

My favourite scene of the trilogy stays T-Rex’s escape. So iconic ❤
You guys should react to Scooby-Doo Live actions you guys never done that on your Channel
Fun Fact: that nightmare Dr Grant has about the Velociraptor calling him Alan is actually foreshadowed by the earlier scene of him trying to get Ellie’s pet bird to say his name just before they had their conversation about raptor intelligence and vocalisation.
Wow, outstanding observation, wow im impressed , god
I still think that the scene by the fence, with the telephone playing, is the most frightening and atmospheric in all 6 films.

There is what we learn in the movie and than there is stuff that people bring there but it's not bound to it.

My biggest issue with this movie was how everything got wrapped up so quickly at the end, it felt like they realised they only had 5 mins left of the runtime and had to close all the storylines. They return the eggs, walk 6 foot and there's the navy coming to save them, oh and this guy is still alive.
That's partially because they were writing the script at the same time they were filming

It's the only movie in this franchise without a proper finale. It just... ends.

@dariodramac or they missed it
@@spencerkunde1615 We hear the Spino roar in distress/anger during those shots. That's the main reason it followed Cooper and killed him.
@Unbearable_Truth it roars before the shots ring out. Its possible considering the mercs hadn't seen a dino up close, let alone a giant like the Spino, that they got rattled and missed. If they did hit the Spino, they didn't do much to slow it down
And thus the Spino became the most controversial dino of all.

Fun Fact: The actor who plays the son of the Kirby's was in Barney's Great Adventure The Movie from 1998.
Trevor Morgan, yeah. TMK have also already seen him in The Sixth Sense too, he plays the kid who keeps bullying Cole.
Who cares!
I've seen that movie. That's how I recognized him when I first saw this movie. Some people just love dinos, regardless.
Fun facts, seldom are.
I remembered him from The Patriot with Mel Gibson.
Susan gets killed.
never knew that before. would have been interesting to see.
@@omega311888 I'm trying to get that script, they also explain it in the Jurassic artbook that came out 2 years ago.
I still wanna know what did attack the boat in the beginning I heard it was spino and it was the pterodactyls
@@patsfan-jd3oopterodactyl was still locked up to that point, couldnt have been them
So the scenes inside the aviary and the river chase from the Spinosaurus (originally T-Rex) are actually scenes from the original Jurassic Park book that had to be cut from the final movie for runtime and budget reasons. And honestly they were the best scenes of the movie.
I always enjoyed how ideas from the first book still made their way in the movie sequels.
It's been a long time since I read the original JP book, but I think there was a scene of them peacefully floating down the river and seeing herbivores.
And the tongue in the waterfall in the second film!

The version of The baby is not canon. The spino just hates humans

Couldn’t agree more! We love Ian! He warned them, they didn’t listen.
I’d also like to clarify, I’m NOT siding with InGen or Hammond. They’re sketchy and what they did was wrong. It’s a case of InGen is wrong, but Malcom is also wrong in his reasoning as to why.
I dont know the backstory but i wonder if jeff goldblum was asked to do this movie and said no way….and they just decided to degrade his character
Very underrated out of the franchise but ot was a really good movie. You guys ate keep spoiling us with excellent movies. Thanks for that. Love you guys keep them coming❤❤❤
Excellent? Lmao!
This is the ONLY JP franchise film I never got to watch in theaters. 😭 I was a bad kid that year and lost that privilege
Oh no! I (Ari) can definitely relate though 🤣 I kept getting myself in trouble!
If you go through to Dominion, make sure you watch the extended edition. It is SOOOO much better than the theatrical version, and the director said that one is what he wanted to release, but the studio made him cut it down.
Great reaction you two! 😊
Congratulations on completing the "Jurassic Park" part of the Jurassic movie series.
The first trilogy is done! Thank you guys for tagging along on the journey! See you in the next chapter❤️
Ha! I'm part of the last batch of millennials 🤣 You guys have been nothing but awesome tagging along this journey and sharing your thoughts. Can't wait to share the next chapter with you all! 😁
I swear I could listen to you guys talk about movies ALL DAY LONG😫♥️
Billy gets such a bad rep, like yeah he make stupid decision but almost if not all decisions he makes in this movie he make them thinking on helping Alan, and then at the end he didnt hesitate to put himself in danger to save Eric.
Spino was on some Jason Vorhees type ish the whole movie lol.
@@deather6412The Spino pursued them because it was attacked by weapons first. Then rammed by a plane fueling its hatred of humans.
17:09 😂 That was everybody in the theater. The only thing that's missing is someone getting kicked out for throwing popcorn at the screen.🤣
Unless you prefer polyphyly or paraphyly (i forget the difference) instead of monophyly but that's a whole other can of worms.)
your comment is my favorite because it's all true
I always liked the smaller more slasher vibe scale of this one. Small group getting picked off one by one. It was very fun and scary. Plus the addition of the pterodactyls was cool
Original trilogy is so good, holds up really well even to this day imo!
"The Lost World" is a steaming pile of poop.
He's so good in The Many Saints of Newark and was Castor Troy's brother in Face/Off
He's also, as the kids say, "Hot AF". 😁
Billy never had the makings of a varsity athlete
Find out that act William H. Macy did his own stunt in the water scene pretty cool
While JP 3 isn't as good as JP 1 and 2, I do like this movie. But then again I love the T-Rex and the Raptors.
I hope you both watch the next Jurassic trilogy. I enjoy seeing your reactions. It reminds me of my own reactions when I first saw these movies.
(At 39:10) I don't remember when, but when I was in elementary school, I got *so* tired of Barney, I thought about killing him.
When i was younger,i was so dumb i thought the guy stole those eggs for omlette. I love this movie. So many memories.
Just found your channel the other day 110% my favourite reaction channel
I’m glad you two are checking out this one because this one is one of my favorites of the franchise.
They put the logo with the Baryonyx skeleton that was discarded, instead of using the Spinosaurus logo lol 😂
it's a small thing, but i like when the clothes on the thumbnail and the clothes in the video match. 👍🏼
The Red Dinosaur that showed up after they found the phone is called a "Ceratosaurus."
Think of a small T-Rex with a horn on it's nose.
Oh and the reason it turned and left them alone was because of how they "smelled." No meal was worth it. 😑
Irl ceratosaurus wasn't looking like a t-rex at all.
Fun fact: The Tyrannosaurus model was coloured and given a horn for making it the ceratosaurus for jp3 😅😅
@@immanuelmollick I didn't know that. That's nice
I was 7 when this came out and I still love it to this day!
That’s true love right there! Love how the passion for films is long lasting ❤️
@@OfficialMediaKnights oh yeah! I’m a sucker for anything with dinosaurs! Lol
If you were wondering what that dinosaur was at 38:10, it's a ceratosaurus.
in the last scene with the confrontation with the raptors. Allen used the raptor larynx to pretend to call for help. The other raptors thought he was calling help from his pack. Because of this, they didnt want a fight and just wanted to protect their young and dipped out with the prize.
yeah it wasn't till the alpha female heard the helicopters (a sound they probably dont recognize that they decided to dip)
The favorite scene in this movie are the sauropods coming over to the humans and said 'hhhhhhiiiiiiiii' 😀
(At 24:16) The black ones are males and the white one is a female. And as far as I can tell, the female's the Alpha.
43:54 Landed in the river. Must have washed him out to sea. Pteranodons couldn’t get him out of the water, I guess. Which is wild considering an absolute horror sequence in one of the later movies. 😂
Honestly i wish during the river phone call that Ellie heard the Spino roar just before the call cuts off.
This was a childhood favourite. Scary but exciting! ..
Hooray! Surgery tomorrow and I'm kinda scared. Needed a reaction to take my mind off it. 😅 Thanks guys ❤
We wish you a great surgery and a speedy recovery. You got this! 💪❤️
I am disappointed this movie is not necessary but this is still entertaining.
Alan Grant is my favourite character of the franchise 🤠
13:11 They were running there's more then one (the obvious the wound one the first one who got eaten)
22:38 The island was abandoned because of a really bad storm it was very serious one (including what happened to the main other park in jp 1) since this is a different island
Utahraptor ? In the franchise they are velociraptor. And they are not Pterodactylus but Pteranodons.
@@alexsim-qq3zp Uttahtaptor is the actual raptor that would’ve been that size and had the plumage from the bone dots
@@mongolen-kn2yc well asset 87 as some interesting lore and JP3 is way better than the two last JW
That being said, it would’ve connected the three parties, the Kirby’s, the Raptors, and the Spinosaurus with the theme of family
Another Fact is the Spinosaurus was suppose to die at the end when Allen blows the raptor call during the river scene.
@@Unbearable_Truth I said initially
Great reaction! I think out of all the Jurassic Park movies, this one is the most underrated and doesn't get enough love. Not perfect, but I thought a solid entry in the series.
17:06 Just a heads up, the T-Rex that died in this movie was not the baby nor the dad from the second movie. It's an entirely different T-Rex which… Is confusing but convenient that there was a third adult Tyrannosaurus rex, but that doesn't mean I'm not upset about that even if it wasn't the same T-Rex, I'm still mad they killed him off like that.
😮
15:45 well when you get cut up by plane propellers you'd be pissed off too. And of course I'm guessing they shot at him so basically they've already got two strikes against them
18:42 I feel like iNgen is the umbrella Corp of the Jurassic Park franchise.
21:44 in all honesty she knew the phones weren't working, but she just wanted to go on a little faith and say what the hell may as well give it a try and if not, oh well…
24:12 fun fact, the velociraptors with the feathery crests on their heads are the males were the ones that are bald or the females
24:24 smarter than primates
29:50 the theater was dead silent when they found out where the ring was coming from that is absolutely good writing right there
33:19 Pteranodon to be exact, but yeah, not fun to be around with
42:11 I love this scene where the velociraptor mother tells the husband to back off… In her own vicious way
42:59 it was a historic event with Jurassic Park history for me for the first time the Raptors spared humans and left them alone… Sure they already killed one, but they spared the rest instead of trying to kill them
What I love about this reaction channel is that you are both full of life and positive energy! It’s addicting to be apart of and always feels good to watch

@@OfficialMediaKnightsthanks you as well
“He just killed my boy!” Funniest thing I’ve heard all day🤣
A lot of people are under the belief that the Spinosaurus was responsible for attacking the boat at the start of the film, but this isn't the case.

Here for the watch party!! :) I LOVE the Jurassic Park movies, this one is my least favourite of the OG trilogy but I still just like seeing dinosaurs doing dinosaur things so it holds up imo.
That’s the most fascinating aspect of these films in my opinion. Seeing dinos interact with other dinosaurs is fantastic! Thank you for watching! ❤️
I feel it has got better with age. With the modern films being even more fast paced for an ever increasing ADHD audience it's actually pretty slow paced in comparison.

16:48 If this was realistic, that dinosaurs neck would've snapped like a celery stick, seriously the T Rex's bite is almost as great as its weight, at almost 6 and a half tonnes, accurate Spinosaurus would never have hunted dinosaurs as big as T Rex,they would've hunted very large fish, their sail on their back wouldn't be as big and pronounced as the one in this movie and the T Rex and Spinosaurus never would've met as they would be in completely different areas of the world, if my memory serves me correctly the T Rex would reside somewhere in America and the Spinosaurus in Egypt, hence the name Spinosaurus Aegypticus, also the Velociraptors look closer to Deinonychus and Utahraptor
cool but it was never realistic and it will never be
There's alot of speculation that the only reason why the Trex was killed was because it was the infant from the second film. Paleontologists even reviewed the fight between the rex and the spino and said no way the rex would have lost. It had the most powerful jaws in the entire dinosaur kingdom. It would have crushed the spinos throat easily with that first chomp in the fight.
It wasn't the infant (Junior) from the second film, it was some random Rex (Bull/Greenie/Fred I think)
42:50 So the whole Alpha/Beta thing is actually not true. The guy who came up with the theory later retracted it and said he didn't observe wolf packs for long enough. There's a social aspect, much like family groups and what you see in other animal packs.
