The sad part about this movie is that giganotosaurus was not even a villian he was just protecting his territory and standing his ground tho he still died
what i find interesting is that Blue clearly still sees Owen as family cause she made her home nearby his & when her baby gets kidnapped & owen tells her he will bring the baby back, she trusts him. i find that so sweet
Fun Fact: The main owner villain of the film Lewis Dodgson is the same guy that hired Nedry in the first film to steal the embryos in the original park. His death brings a sort of full circle as he dies to the same species that killed Nedry the Dilophosaurus in the first movie 29 years later. Somehow between the events of the first and latest film, Dodgson managed to acquire the barbasol can. To find that out I recommend checking out the 2 animated series in relation to the saga JW Camp Cretaceous and JW Chaos Theory they’re both really good especially Chaos Theory. Another fun fact: The intro scene with the dinos in the past showcases Rexy’s origins from when she was alive 65 million years ago. After her fight to the death with the Giga you can see the mosquito land on her corpse and bite her blood which as we remember from the first films will later be used to clone her back from extinction 65 million years later. This makes the end climatic scene a bit more impactful as both species rematch 65 million years later making the fight more personal to Rexy as she was killed by the same species back then.
Down this part of the world the ozone layer does have a hole, however the air is on average far more pure. The rural life in either NZ or Australia is very underrated.
48:22 This giant flyer is a Quetzalcoatlus. This giant is one of the largest flying reptile or pterosaurs that had ever lived. It is huge. It's as tall as a giraffe, and its wingspan is 12m. It was named after the aztec feathery serpent, called Quetzalcoatl.
@@Enwaiyre They are quoting the cartoons... which if you like this film... you will like the cartoons... if you hate this film, you will not like the cartoons.
The Therizinosaurus (Big long sharp clawed blind boi) was the highlight of this movie for me when I first saw it in theatre's. And yes, it's a real dinosaur. 💜
Dodgeson didn't work for Ingen he worked for a rival genetics company and was very immoral in his research and work. Though on thinking about what you said you likely meant responsible for the park failing so hard lol.
The blind therizonosaurus is actually an herbivore however just becuz it's an herbivore doesn't mean it can't kill you. In this case the herbivore is very territorial which was why it swiped that deer away when it noticed it was there. Had it noticed Claire, she indeed would have been dead as well.
Chris Pratt riding a horse to catch dinosaurs is like a crazy cross between his role in Magnificent Seven and Jurassic World and I'm not mad about it 🤣
What’s unique about The Media Knights, is the length of their reactions! Most reaction channels I watch, the uploads are usually around 20-40mins tops, for a 2hr+ movie. TMK have so much to add, go in depth in their reactions, and show more clips than other channels. Which makes them the BEST reaction channel on the ‘tube! 💙
I know right and they cut so much out. Like every reactor has to cut down on the movie for copyright reasons but some reactors cutout entire scenes of a movie and I’m like wait you skipped a big section.
@@ryans413probably because they didn’t reacted enough to avoid copyright laws. The more you actual react to, the more you can show. Other reason is to try to get people to subscribe to Patreon for money
I'm disappointed the protagonists didn't find out Dodgson was the one who hired Dennis and caused the downfall of Jurassic Park and set off the events of the sequels, would made things that much more personal for the original trio considering the trauma they went through.
@@OfficialMediaKnights Someone pointed out that by not bringing that up, Dodgson was no different than an entirely new character. The protagonists finding out he was the greater scope villain of the first film was something I looked forward to seeing. Also, the female dinosaur smuggler Soyona Santos was the woman from the end of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The two T-Rex's that the original T-Rex encounters at the end are the parents from Lost World that ate Eddie.
Would they have know about nerdy? He was essentially a nobody as computer geeks back then was completely different how computer geeks are today. (In terms of credit) There were 3-4 character in the movie who knew ned: Jackson’s character, the game warden, Mr Hammond, and potentially the lawyer. Allen and the original trio should have been like, who’s that?
@DylVan-k8y it woulda been nice that they found out that Dodgson hired one of hammonds employees to smuggle embryos which caused the parks downfall. Had that not happened, hammonds park might have succeeded for a while. Since the storm didn't cause the power outage.
This entire movie was a huge disappointment. One of the problems I have with Dominion is that it never addressed on how does Maisie really feel about releasing the Dinosaurs into the world which should've been a huge weight on her shoulders. Instead of the "I knew your mom" subplot, it would've been a better scene where Maisie tells Alan and Ellie that she was the one who released the Dinosaurs, and blames herself for all this chaos as she breaks down in tears. Ellie comforts her, while Alan feels disappointed. But later on, He warms up to her and tells her a callback from JPlll. Instead of the condemning tone like he did with Billy, he says it in a more softer, wiser tone. "Sometimes the best intentions can lead into outcomes that we never wanted. But sometimes, out of those unwanted outcomes, can arise the most beautiful thing's."
Making Dodgson the villain of this film actually brings the franchise full circle. He's the villain who started it all, and the villain who ended it all.
I only question what the hell was he doing all this time like he never received the samples the can was swept away and then it shows he has the can so did he go to island to find it himself. That most have taken a lot of searching with dinosaurs running around.
@@ryans413It is likely during the 3 decades between JP1 and this film that Dodgson was building his own "empire" and working his way up the Biosyn corporate ladder.
@@rash1990ful yes but how dose he have the shaving cream can from JP1. That made no sense there’s plot holes in this movie. I understand he built his company over the years but that was only possible because of those embryos that were lost.
52:40 It's called Pyroraptor. It feathered raptor is a relative of a velociraptor. This Dino was discovered in Europe. Remember you saw a pack of Atrociraptor? The Atrociraptor is another relative of Velociraptor, but these were discovered in North America.
The velociraptor isn't a real thing, at least not how they are in the movies. Real velociraptors were significantly smaller and paleontologists have agreed they were feathered too.
@@LudusAurea well thanks to movie canon, it’s real. Cause the prologue and biosyn dinosaurs are said to be 100% pure. So giga, Dreadnoughtus, therizinosaurus, dimetrodon, moros, Pyroraptor. That’s what they look like that world.
@@Donovan_oryx924 Not only that, but even though the T-Rex only had very small arms and hands it's recently been discovered by some very renowned palaeontologists that the T-Rex was actually a very accomplished pianist.
The prologue was attached to the movie F9 in 2021, acting like a 6 minute teaser trailer to the film. It even made its TV debut on NBC in November 2021=
it should have been in the theatrical release honestly, just cause it connects to the shot of rexy eye in the last fight. its a callback, except in the theatrical release the callback has nothing to call back to to general audiences XD
Honestly? When we were first introduced to the Indominus Rex. Had she not been created and cause havoc, we don't know where the Jurassic World Saga would have gone!! Had a blast with you guys as always! ❤
@@imamkamisama8612 depends on which one is meant: That one in the cave is truly a Dimetrodon but that one which searches for Claire is a Therizinosaurus.
I don’t care what the fans and critics say but I enjoy this film more than _Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom_ and although the story was a mess and went all over the place it was awesome to see the reunion of Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Niel), Ellie (Laura Dern), Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and brand new dinosaurs (eg. Giganatosaurus, Therizinosaurus) even more awesome you’re watching the Extended version of the film which a few fans prefer over the Theatrical release. I’m cautiously skeptical on _Jurassic World: Rebirth_ coming next year (July 2025) but it is directed by Gareth Edwards who did _Godzilla_ and _Rogue One_ and has Scarlett Johansson so I give him the Benefit of the doubt.
I am with you on that. I loved this film the most, followed by the original, and then Jurassic World. I instantly loved Chris Pratt's character, Owen Grady. The reunion of the original cast in this movie was awesome, and then they one upped it by adding the Jurassic World cast to that!
The decline of drive-in theaters sucks. Entire generations don't know the fun of cramming as many people as possible into the car along with a loaded cooler for a triple feature on a Saturday night. Start off with something for kids when dusk hits. Then you had the main feature. By that time all of the kids were due to go home and there was one or sometimes even two late night movies for the adults. There was something comforting about that little speaker hanging from your window or tuning into the the station, reclined in your seat grabbing a soda and a Wonder bread ham and cheese from the Coleman cooler. It was peak affordable family night.
@@OfficialMediaKnights The little flashback to the Prologue Rex (You can see the prehistoric trees in the background and feathers on the Rex) it was like there was something primal in her telling her that she can't lose against the Giga in the present.
I already sent a comment about this but in case you didn’t see it you guys should watch the animated Netflix series called Jurassic world Camp Cretaceous and it’s sequel series chaos theory because they both are good additions to the franchises lore. Also the dinosaur with large claws is called a therizinosaurus and despite the claws it’s actually a herbivore those large claws are meant to pull branches closer to its mouth.
Also, Camp Cretaceous fills in blanks in between Jurassic World through Dominion, and Chaos Theory is explaining things a few years before Dominion. I can't say it enough that both are worth a watch, and both, while animated, are more mature than you would think.
Actually, the dinosaur with the nails for the longest time they thought it was part of a larger predatory dinosaur because all they had were the claws.. until they found more skeletal information it was a big surprise. It looked just like what you see …Nothing fake about what it looks like and size pretty accurate…
@@nothing4381so it’s not at all accurate but the only thing you mention is the head shape being wrong lol. Not sure if you’re being overdramatic or if there are more serious differences you’re not mentioning for some reason 😅 // After doing a bit of research it would seem the dino was for the most part quite accurate, besides the head, so i’m not sure why you say it wasn’t accurate at ALL? If only one part is not accurate, how does it make all of it non-accurate? And how much fossils do we actually have of this dinosaur and do we even have a full skeleton or is it still incomplete? Because if it’s not complete how can we even claim to know exactly how it looked? Most dinosaurs could have looked so much more different than we think now, since most fossil are of bones so we have no clue how their muscles, skin or other parts that don’t fossilize well may have looked like. And those could have affected the overall look of the dinosaurs immensely but we will likely never know unless we get lucky and find fossils that include more than bones.
@@TheSofkujepanen There are a few other inaccuracies. The feet are supposed to be plantigrade (all four toes flat on the ground to distribute its weight) but the movie has them shaped like typical theropod feet; it's lacking the potbelly therizinosaurs had to process all of the plant matter they ate; it's a little too horizontal in its stance, therizinosaurs stood closer to the classic tripod stance from old movies; and the claws are too straight, they had a very gentle curve that became more pronounced near the tips.
Love this movie! I don't care what people say about it, im just glad to see my favorite characters come back in one last crazy epic adventure. There will another JURASSIC WORLD movie called JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali. Its coming JULY 2, 2025.
Giganotosaurus was supposed to be the "antagonistic" dinosaur of this movie, but it was simply an animal being an animal, unlike JW 1's Indominus rex who killed for pleasure and was a very intelligent crazy killer, Giga tried to live quietly in the valley from Biosyn, kept Rexy out of his territory (in the first fight they had in the valley, Giga chased away the T-rex and just wanted to eat the dead deer, that was very realistic behavior), when he saw the human protagonists He began to analyze them before attacking since he had never seen humans, he also retreated when they hurt his eye (the Indominus rex wouldn't give a damn about that, he would still continue attacking). All the new creatures you saw in this movie are real species that existed 66 million years ago or rather, much earlier. The giant feathered dinosaur with large claws is called "Therizinosaurus", one of the rarest dinosaurs ever discovered, it was herbivorous, the huge flying reptile that attacked the plane is called "Quetzalcoatlus", in real life it was the size of a Giraffe ( the largest flying animal that has ever existed), in the movie they made it much bigger, we also saw 2 new types of raptors, Atrociraptors (the ones that were in the city chasing Owen) and Pyroraptor (the feathered dino in the snow), like Velociraptor, existed in real life but were the size of a turkey or a dog, they all had plumage like birds . Great reaction! As you already know, a new Jurassic World movie will come out next year, a completely new story with different characters.
@@Alpha_Xerodon't forget this is a popcorn movie, made for simple minds. Most people need an "evil guy" to focus on and don't want their "hero"(Rex) to die because of a new guy. People hated in JP3 that something new so easily killed the T-Rex, thats one reason why people don't like it. Of course you're right, people focus on the easiest things; to decide between good and evil for example and don't look at the shades of grey behind everything. Thats the way it is, don't take it too serious 😉
I am 57 years old. I read the book Jurassic Park and went and saw the original movie 3 times opening weekend and one showing was at a drive in. Still to this day my favorite movie. Have truly enjoyed watching your Jurassic journey. Love your channel first thing I check in the morning to see if you put out a video. Love and prayers keep up the great work
@@GalvinBrackettThis movie was pretty good. I bet the new movie will be worse than this one, even worse than how "bad" you think this movie is, but we'll see. I hope it's good tho
Damn I actually noticed for the first time now that when Rexy is lying unconscious and the lightning flashes you see a flash of the protofeathers/fur for a second. Linking it back to the rex of the start of the film :o
Honestly, the one thing i hate the most in this movie. That they killed Giganotosaurus for no reason. It was not a villain, it was just an animal trying to survive and they killed without a reason. That's bs
Seeing a lot of people defend the Giga! I guess it makes sense since they never really make him a villain. Should’ve written it in such a way where the dinosaur was going haywire and became a killing machine just like the Indo.
7:34 The show is “Deadliest Catch” about crab fishing in the Bearing Sea off of Alaska. One of the boats actually capsized in an episode. I guess you could say it helped for a good shot for this part of the movie
From what I read the money the Saga made helped upgrade a few things on the boat. I was very excited when I saw it in the trailer because I used to watch the show with my dad
The story in these films is expanded in the animated shows Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory. Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn played a minor role in the first film and a major role in the novels. The actor playing Dr. Wu has a recurring role on Law and Order: SVU
The Therizinosaur at the 50:00 mark was my favorite dino of the entire franchise. Herbivore, blind, and DGAF!!! Also one of my favorite tames from Ark!
I had never heard of the extended version until now , and when I tell you the extended one looks 10x better , I mean it!! It looks great and it shows why the giga and the t-Rex have tension and why they fight , this made the film so much better
50:40 That is Therizinosaurus and this time it's an accurate dinosaur, Therizinosaurus is with a long claw. But even he have a long Claws he's a Herbivore, he use it for self defense
Hey, guys, I've been watching your movie reactions since the beginning of the year. I just wanted to say hello from Dover, Kent in the South East of England and the closest point of the UK to France at only 21 miles. I also want to point out something I've noticed about Denise that she does during the reactions, when it starts going bad Denise turns into "bad ape" from war for the planet of the apes by saying "Oh No, oh no, Oh No". I find it hilarious and if I'm not watching the screen, I ALWAYS know when it goes TITS UP (bad or wrong,) in the movies 😂🤣 Keep up the great content Artie and Denise, you guys are brilliant🏴😎👍
Lmao I can’t be the only one who gets excited when media knights drop new videos ! You guys should do some racing movies like , gran turismo, days of thunder, rush, ford vs Ferrari
This one does actually feature some more stuff from Crichtons books and goes beyond Jurassic Park to include things that were in Next and maybe to some extent Prey. Using genetically engineered super bugs for corporate espionage or whatever you would call it to devastate only certain crops and leave others that BioSyn sold (the seeds) for example was in Next. That said 95% of it is god awful and like the one scene that had any tension was just forced and bad, not to mention it was a direct callback to JP1 and JW2. They also recast Dodgson, which is fine since he was only in the first movie for 3.5 minutes, but the guy they cast and the character they wrote are nothing like the character from the first movie or Camp Cretaceous or the books. You also have to have watched the entire Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous show to really understand how there are any links between these Jurassic World movies beyond "because we said so."
I agree that Maisie was a complex character. But also, we need to keep in mind that we are adding teen element which is when they are already dealing with their identity and all the girl changes that come with it. So the poor girl is dealing with double identity crisis. She’s lucky to have Owen and Claire.
This is a flawed film, but it’s still highly underrated. And I feel much of that is due to the theatrical version. Most of this film’s flaws are likely due to story changes that had to be made due to the Covid pandemic. They were forced to do rewrites on set, with the actors pitching in. This was the first major film to resume production, and they pioneered new filming techniques to deal with the restrictions.
One thing I wished to see in this was an Ariana Richards cameo Bryce Dallas Howards actually used every different outfit that Laura wears in the first movie as an inspiration for each outfit she wears in this. 6:05 watching this for the first time i was like "wait, ive seen that clip before lol" 7:12 thats actually a ship from The Deadliest Catch tv show 7:15 i love that shot lol 33:55 the audience loved that little guy lol 39:16 Bryce actually did alot of her own stunts and she showed off the bruises on ig to prove it lol 47:35 Isabella is so good lol 51:50 such an epic shot 1:02:40 Ian had a line in the trailer right here he says "bigger...why do they always have to go bigger?" And it wasn't in either version of the movie and it pissed me off 1:03:28 another great shot 1:05:22 I swear that shot is just like the picture taken from the Montana fire of 2000 it looks so close to that with the addition of dinosaurs. Such a great pic/shot
While this wasn't the strongest Jurassic Park movie, it was still nice to see Grant, Sattler, and Malcom back together. Wish they got the kids from the first movie to come back too.
I have some questions why dose everyone just do the hand thing that was something Owen taught the raptors to obey him. In this movie he just goes around doing it to every dinosaur and the girl and Allen are doing it to like come on. When Owen and the pilot crash in the water they don’t even act cold. Clair falls down into a truck and pilot lady just happens to be there. Ian happens to roll the truck in the exact spot Clair Owen and pilot lady are. It’s not bad but the plot expect its audience to be stupid and not question anything.
I must say, the one thing i really love about your reactions is while the movie is on you guys really enjoy it and leave any criticism until the end! Which makes it enjoyable to watch! A lot of others throw out all the criticism during the movie and doesnt make it fun watching! Love your work! I love this movie but i do agree with a lot of what you're saying!
Or they talk way too much and miss everything. I come to see the reactors reaction and if they miss everything because they won’t shut up it’s not fun for the viewer. The Media Knights do it right.
@ryans413 couldn't agree more! Nothing more frustrating than watching others, and they talk over an important part that they need to pay attention to, then they spend forever talking about how the movie doesn't make sense because they were talking over that important part!
@@Shayne-H this one reactor I watched which I never returned to they were watching Back To The Future. The guy and the girl reacting talked so dam much they missed everything like important dialogue. Then halfway through they kept asking why’s Marty doing this why’s Doc doing that. They even got to like the third act and said wait why’s his mom kissing her son🤦♂️. I was like to myself because you were talking and missed the entire setup.
I’ve had this somewhat odd theory that Ramsay Cole is somehow a chimeric clone of Dodgson. The way Dodgson talks about him is almost fatherly and when Ramsay reveals his betrayal, the way Dodgson responds sounds like he expected Ramsay to behave as he would. Ramsay’s response of ‘I’m not you’ is what led me to believe this theory.
If she likes Tom Cruise more than Dinosaurs, yes😂 I'm a JP Fan from the very beginning and I liked this movie. Of course it depends on your personal taste.
@@Enwaiyre I'm a JP fan and found this movie the worst in the entire franchise... i literately cant even watch it again without skipping 90% of the scenes... Top Gun was actually a far better movie.
@@Enwaiyre I appreciate that people like this movie, but its certainly not for me. Ngl tho, the part where Owen chokes a dilophosaur was fucking hilarious
So glad you watched Extended version! So much context was lost in the theatrical, and even a few dinos like Oviraptor (egg eater), Lystrosaurus (had more scenes)
The reason rexy the t rex from the first park lost 2 fights is because she's too old and near her end. If she was in her prime, she'd crush the giganotosaurus, another reason any t rex lost fights is because jurassic world director colin trevorrow and his writers, mostly the writers from their reason for jp3, after the first 2 movies the writers were tired of the t rex getting the spotlight, but you heard right they are make a new movie, it's called jurassic world rebirth and colin trevorrow and his writers aren't returning, instead it'll be directed by gareth Edwards who directed godzilla 2014 and the original writer for the first 2 jurassic park movies David koepp is writing it, with this I can guarantee you guys they'll make the t rex great again and have it win solo fights against other large carnivores and herbivores, at least the next t rex since half of are just as old, oh and scarlett johansson will be starring in the movie.
50:45 I like that the Therazinosaurus is characterized like a giant anteater, nearly blind and constantly poised to annihilate anything within arms' reach.
@@OfficialMediaKnights Night here in Hong Kong, heavy rain leftover by a powerful typhoon. Nothing better than watching your videos safely at home! Thank you for all the great shows!
Just want to say thanks guys I’ve found your channel and your gaming channel recently and have been enjoying it. You both have a passion for film and keep the reactions long and engaging and talk about it after it’s over really good work. BTW your gameplay of Isolation is top notch.
50:43 This is the Therizinosaurus. Its like a 16ft tall turkey with long claws for defense and browsing on plants. At some point in its life in the Biosyn Sanctuary it developed a white layer on its right eye similar to cataracts, it can still see with its left eye, along with smell, hearing and suprisingly it can use echolocation similar to some species of cave dwelling swiftlet birds whenever it clicks and cackles throughout the forest. The director of the movie heard feedbacks from fans about wanting feathered dinosaurus and Therizinosaurus is a prime example of that. It also shows that not all herbivores are gentle giants or simply just food for the carnivorous dinosaurs.
Fun fact: that dinosaur that was hunting Claire, it was using echolocation bc it was blind so it heavily relied on sound and smell to fight its enemies, it’s also named the therizenosaurus, which is a very territorial herbivorous dinosaur which is one of if not the most deadliest herbivore in all of the dinosaurs
If you notice carefully. Giga has a similar appearance to Indominus Rex (the villain of the first Jurassic World). Giga has a design that is exaggerated from real life. Because they intentionally made Giga and Indominus similar. Because Giga is one of the ingredients of Indominus Rex. Including Therizinosaurus (Long Claw) is also one of the ingredients of Indominus. Another reason why the movie designed the Giga too exaggeratedly. Because they wanted to be able to distinguish between Giga and T.rex during nighttime battles. Because in real life the two had many similarities (except for the arms and head), and ordinary people would refer to the larger Theropod as a T. rex. So they designed the Giga to have exaggerated spines to make it noticeable.
If y'all can get your hands on King Kong for the 360, you might really like it, lots of T-Rex vs Kong fights or other similar cool things. One of the best and worst monster brawlers simultaneously. I don't love the overall game but I've never finished it, but dang it had cool fights. It was on demo at Wal-Mart back in it's time. It was fun to stop and have that big fight before getting back to shopping. I just looked it up, Game Rant posted an article a couple months ago praising the game and saying it needs a remaster, but it probably won't occur due to licensing. The game is digitally delisted and physical copies are hard to find. It's practically priced at what a new game costs today, unless you can get a lucky deal. Seeing the T-Rex fight in this film made me feel nostalgic for it.
wait wtf i've watched dominion like 3 or 4 times and i never once knew there's an extended version LMAO i liked this a lot better than the normal cut, this was more fleshed out. such an overhated movie, granted it's not amazing. but i'm glad you guys stuck through my favorite franchise oat!

So, if you're interested in some sciencey dinosaur stuff, allow me to tell you about some of the new ones! 4:02 This tiny fella is called Moros intrepidus, meaning "Harbinger of Doom." Funny because this guy is one of the smallest tyrannosaurs ever discovered. It's actually depicted cleaning a larger animals teeth, which is common with birds and crocodilians. 4:11 Another short appearance, this beak faced fella is Iguanodon, and the second dinosaur to have ever been discovered in history. They have these spikes for thumbs that were used against predators, gouging into them as a form of attack. 33:20 Making a very brief appearance we have Microceratus! These guys are pretty much small ceratopsians, like Triceratops. 33:55 This little stocky fella is known as a Lystrosaurus, also known as "Nothing will ever kill me, I have seen the earth literally explode and survived." They're not dinosaurs, as these guys existed before them during the Permian. They survived the greatest extinction event on earth, which pretty much wiped out 90% of all life. The one in the film is named Leonard. 33:59 So this fella you saw was in the beginning eating an egg. It's called an Oviraptor, and it was believed to have been an egg thief as it's skeleton was found on a nest full of eggs. The true story is that the skeleton was trying to protect it's eggs from the harsh deset climate, so despite media depicting them as egg eaters they were incredible parents. 37:36 Atrociraptor. So these fellas were real, yet these ones are both oversized and non-feathered compared to the real life counterpart, much like the Velociraptor. Specifically these Atrociraptors were given the names Ghost, (the white one), Red, Panthera and Tiger. 48:01 Quetzalcoatlus. This thing existed when T-Rex was around, and it was pretty much the only other animal the tyrant lizard king had to deal with. This one's a bit oversized, and it really doesn't show how scary it can really be. Azdharcids, which are the family of Quetzals, are known for being land predators and actually hunted animals on foot. Imagine giant giraffes that could fly, looking to swallow down smaller dinosaurs. 50:34 One of my favorites, this is Therizinosaurus. They're actually related to tyrannosaurs, except they had adapted to a mostly herbivorous lifestyle. The claws weren't really mwsnt for fighting, however the aggression displayed with this one is pretty accurate to what we believe. It was likely they were territorial. Also they had a much thicker feathering, but this still works. 52:26 Pyroraptor! These fellas were related to another animal known as Austroraptor, and werr actually believed to have been fishers. They likely didn't swim like this, however it is a pretty solid design besides the eyes being set too forward. 57:40 This is Dimetrodon, which is also NOT a dinosaur. They're called synapsids and actually existed before dinosaurus did. And despite looking like reptiles l, they're closely related to us, mammals! 1:11:57 This big fella was one of the last few sauropods (long neck dinosaurs) to still be around during the end of the dinosaurs. Dreadnoughtus were large, powerful, and had very little competition. 1:12:33 The last on the roster, and the most memorable. Giganotosaurus, or "The Giga" is a carnivore that existed before T-Rex was ever around. They were larger, yes, however their jaw power was not matched with a T-rex at all. Their teeth and jaws were mesnt for slicing and shredding their prey instead of crushing them, and their form of prey were the mich larger Titanosaurs that were around during it's time. But in all seriousness, T-rex should've kicked it's ass here.
Giganotosaurus Carolinii (lit. "Carolini's Giant Northern Lizard") was a few meters taller than the T.Rex but despite being taller it was also much slender Think Dobermann and Rotweiler Except the rotweiler having banana sized teeth and the greatest bite force of any land animal that ever lived
51:13 This dinosaur is called a Therizinosaurus. its name means scythe lizard. It has the longest claws of any theropod dinosaur. This dinosaur is an extremely territorial. It's huge. it can grow 5m tall and 10m long. Believe it or not? dinosaurs and birds are closely related. Just like birds, some dinosaurs have feathers.
ahh the therizinosaur, big blind birb, or as i call it, the giant murder turkey. love your guys videos, been binging all your stuff for a few weeks now.
Fun fact: The largest "Raptor" species of dinosaur is called the Utahraptor. It's weight varied from 660-2,220 pounds, whereas the Velociraptor weighed only 31-43 pounds (The Raptors in the movies apparently weigh 150-300 pounds) not to mention real Velociraptors were proven to have feathers and were the size of midsized dogs or turkeys...yeah they highly exaggerated the Velociraptors in this franchise, but we love them for it. 💜
I love when idiots are confidently incorrect. Deinonychus was that exact size and shows no evidence of feathers. Utahraptor hadn't even been discovered when the first movie came out.

I'm disappointed the protagonists didn't find out Dodgson was the one who hired Dennis and caused the downfall of Jurassic Park and set off the events of the sequels, would made things that much more personal for the original trio considering the trauma they went through.
Yeah, the film didn’t even make a point out of it. They just showed the can from the first film and whatnot.

Fun fact is that soscial media made people less social...

It's not accurate at ALL.The head shape is totally wrong.
@@nothing4381so it’s not at all accurate but the only thing you mention is the head shape being wrong lol. Not sure if you’re being overdramatic or if there are more serious differences you’re not mentioning for some reason 😅
// After doing a bit of research it would seem the dino was for the most part quite accurate, besides the head, so i’m not sure why you say it wasn’t accurate at ALL?

Same to me! You can't compare the JW movies with JP which always will be the best.
All JW movies for themselves are pretty good.
Two more great Dinosaur films
1. Walking with Dinosaurs 2013
2. Dinosaur 2000
Yeah about Walking with Dinosaurs 2013...😬 it wasn't that great due to the voice acting being REALLY ANNOYING!

I must say Sam Elliot, Laura Dern & Jeff Goldblum look damn good the years have been very good to them.
You mean Sam Neil?
This is a flawed film, but it’s still highly underrated. And I feel much of that is due to the theatrical version. Most of this film’s flaws are likely due to story changes that had to be made due to the Covid pandemic. They were forced to do rewrites on set, with the actors pitching in. This was the first major film to resume production, and they pioneered new filming techniques to deal with the restrictions.
One thing I wished to see in this was an Ariana Richards cameo
Bryce Dallas Howards actually used every different outfit that Laura wears in the first movie as an inspiration for each outfit she wears in this.

1:05:22 I swear that shot is just like the picture taken from the Montana fire of 2000 it looks so close to that with the addition of dinosaurs.
I actually loved seeing this in theaters, a lot of people give it a lot of hate but I really enjoy it.
I remember taking my mother to see this. We were both very excited. When it was over she turned to me and told me I should've bought top gun tickets
If she likes Tom Cruise more than Dinosaurs, yes😂
I'm a JP Fan from the very beginning and I liked this movie. Of course it depends on your personal taste.
@@Enwaiyre Sames! I think they ended it pretty well while integrating the og characters in.
Mother has an L opinion
So glad you watched Extended version! So much context was lost in the theatrical, and even a few dinos like Oviraptor (egg eater), Lystrosaurus (had more scenes)
It is so good to see the OGs return in this movie from the Jurassic Park film series.
Just like the OGs returning in Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Don't forget there will be two this time - siblings. And also don't forget spinosaurus is returning, as is the mosasaurus.
@@NateL1992All of that info you said is currently theorised, not confirmed. If it is going to be true, it's not confirmed by anybody yet
@@ChocyDino
It came from a good source, so its probably true.
@@NateL1992 What source??? Also unless it's the director or somebody working on the movie directly then I wouldn't take it as confirmed.
I look forward to your reaction vidoeos the most. Your professional background in media creation is so cool and educational. Love it!
10:05, everytime I watch this scene, I always imagine hearing John Barry's score to Dances With Wolves, The Buffalo Hunt Sequence.
It’s actually a giganotosaurus 55:42
Fun fact, the two T-Rex you see with rexy at the end of the movie are the buck and doe T-Rex from the lost world aka the two parents
50:45 I like that the Therazinosaurus is characterized like a giant anteater, nearly blind and constantly poised to annihilate anything within arms' reach.
Made it! I had my coffee ready waiting for this!!
Ah man! Nothing better than a nice warm cup of coffee. Wishing you a lovely morning!
PLEASE I recommend you guys watch a movie called whiplash if you haven’t seen it, such an amazing film
YES!!! Such an amazing movie
Amazing recommendation, thank you so much!! Added it to our list!
I've been trying to get them to watch this all year lol
Bryce is low key the mvp of these movies, they just keep putting her through the ringer lol
I seen this movie with my big brother in theaters one of my best memories
Tanks for the amazing experience❤
Crazy fact about the Therizinosaurus (the one with the long a$$ claws): it’s actually a herbivore 😉
Ohhhh awesome recommendation thank you, we definitely will check if we can find it!! It sounds like a blast!
wait wtf i've watched dominion like 3 or 4 times and i never once knew there's an extended version LMAO i liked this a lot better than the normal cut, this was more fleshed out. such an overhated movie, granted it's not amazing. but i'm glad you guys stuck through my favorite franchise oat!
So at the beginning of the movie, it was set in the Cretaceous period
I don't have the means to be a member or join Patreon YET so I really appreciate how you put things out in Patreon and for members and shortly after for us regular folk
You’re freaking awesome! Thank you for taking the time to write this and sharing some interesting knowledge ❤️
Giganotosaurus Carolinii (lit. "Carolini's Giant Northern Lizard") was a few meters taller than the T.Rex but despite being taller it was also much slender
Think Dobermann and Rotweiler
Except the rotweiler having banana sized teeth and the greatest bite force of any land animal that ever lived
I remember watching this movie in the movie theater with my mom on opening night. It was a great experience.
Yes. Deinonichus is the the 2nd largest raptor and is the closest to the raptors they used in the movies in terms of size.
I love when idiots are confidently incorrect. Deinonychus was that exact size and shows no evidence of feathers. Utahraptor hadn't even been discovered when the first movie came out.
@JustSomeGuywithEpicGrasses Firstly, calling me an idiot is unnecessary. Second, I didn't say it was discovered yet, now did I?
@@JustSomeGuywithEpicGrasses Calling someone and idiot when you yourself are one is funny. Utahraptor was discovered in 1975 which was 18 years before the first movie. The book was written in 1990. You're on the internet and have google but yet you lack intelligence. That's mind boggling.
@@mimic1984 your pfp means you don't get the benefit of the doubt. It confirms you are moronic. They didn't exaggerate the size. They changed the name.
