In one of your videos (One of the Invisible/Unobtainable Ford 350 vidz, I think) you mentioned getting a GMT400 W/T (4.3L) and dropping an LS into it. For almost two years, that's been my exact plan and I've been looking for a Tahoe/Yukon. I already owned the GMT400 4.3L W/T for about 3 years. A few weeks after you mentioned this, a running/driving 2003 Yukon with an LM7 showed up on Craigslist for $500 (186k miles) so I bought it right away! It needs a 4L65E rebuild but I'm game for that. A lot of the rest of it is miled-out as you say. My plan is to pull the entire drivetrain and everything electrical from the Yukon and stick it in my GMT400, sell the remains of the Yukon and use that to pay for some of the swap. I hope to get-'er-done for under $1000. You know how this timing goes with your goat, right? So far, I've just collected the vehicles and have turned any wrenches. Well, I did just put a TransGo valve body kit in the GMT400, but I'm waiting on the correct trans filter (thanks for screwing that up, Rockauto) before I can finish buttoning it up and see if the TC lockup judder has been fixed. If not, then I figure the lock-up it's going to need another torque converter.
I'm really glad you went with the rest-o-mod route. You certainly had the skills to be able to carry off something like that. The (mustang) color looks awesome. I'm sure you can't wait to finish things up.
We’ve done a bunch of these cars for cheap by replacing the stock splindle with a taller firebird splindle or caprice splindle, change the ball joints and it fixes the camber curve. A WS6 or Cherokee sport steering box and a WS6 sway bar from a 79 firebird, dirt cheap, night and day difference
I love watching my favorite Canadians wake the g.t.o back up that car is beautiful what a labor of love you and your brother have been patient and it has paid off big. Thanks rich
You gotta get that copper anti- seize off of that aluminum. Add a little humidity, and you've got a battery. Not a useful one, but one that's going to generate never ending galvanic corrosion. Use the moly based stuff instead.
Good to see that it doesn't all just bolt together without some fettling, banging, re aligning and (possibly 'Cussing') makes me feel less incompetent...Is Stefan driving that MG Midget thing??
That gto's come a long way. Sharp ride for sure. Good choice on the thrust wheels and paint color. Car pops. I hear ya on the project completion date being pushed back year after year. Im In the "process" of back yard restoring a 84 c10. I'm going on 4years now on this restoration. In my head i said 2 years it would be done but wife, work kids kid of take you away from finishing it.. Well body work is 80% done then onto paint. LS swap in the future also. Great job Deboss
Project cars are never finished. Started my 54 Pontiac Tempest in 2000 and every year, I change something and every year something breaks. 5,000 km on it since frame off and already replaced the radiator, the battery 3 times and fuel pump. Rubber engine mounts settled and oil pan rubbed on RnP wearing out a specialized metal tube. Had to go to the wreckers to find a replacement. When a car sits for most of its life (like winter storage), seals go like the main bearing seals start leaking and valve cover gaskets. Also one of the rear axle seals went.
Boss man, Bitching bad to the bone. The dream lives. It is hard to have to wait till more shows up but damn it is getting there. It is take your breath nice.Happy for your success
Same size tires that are on my 2007 Acura TL. I like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (all season) tire. They last a long time and grip like superglue in the rain.
The 67 GTO is absolutely on my car wish list. You're doing a great job, very informative and entertaining. FYI: The Dukes of Hazard were not around in 67. Just sayin'.
I’ve got the air shocks on my 66 chevelle set at 120 psi so I can fit 245’s under it and the rear control arm bushings are fucked so the tire rubs on the drivers side fender and it is 2” away from the passenger side.
I'm sure it works fine. Just figured I'd ask the question. Not sure if it will be an issue in this application. Anyways, love your videos and very impressed by the build, definetly full of handy tips and tricks. Keep up the good work and excellent craftmanship 👍

Hey Rich are you going to try and live stream at all while on Power Tour? Like with ParaScope or something? That would be bad ass for us to see what you're up to real time while on the road.
Wow, a youtuber who actually has the front end aligned. This is a real mechanic! Watch Hot Rod garage or Roadkill and it's slap the parts on and away we go - duh.
Excellent work as always , just did some coilovers in a 71 chevelle , question is ..with the stock lower control arm is it recommended to run coilovers, that's a lot of force on the T bar bolted to what 10 gauge stamped steel . My coilovers said a minimum of 3/16" plate
Back then GM didn't make good coil springs. They went down like a elevator ride. So, start high and when you found yourself sliding off the seat, time for new springs.
I’d like to know how many people grease the thrust bearing on the coil over spring, since it’s not sealed the dust, sand etc can come in and destroy the bearing. If it’s not greased the metal on metal contact and destroy the bearing. In my case I felt the bearing dry. Any comments
Your videos are amazing man. I have a question with a Diesel engine (mechanical injection), it spun a bearing, damaged the crankshaft and the rod, but I needed the thing back in the road so I simply replaced bearings and polished the crankshaft. It fired right up, but was tough as hell to start when it warmed up, so I decided to rebuild it, new crank, rod, pistons.... Today I fired it up, fired up nicely but again when warm it has a really hard time to start.
I would have gone with a taller 60 series tire. Those look too small in diameter and too short of a sidewall... to me at least. The 70 series (first low profile) tires didn't come out until a few years after 1967... don't remember exactly when.
roningrae you just keep greasing them. It’s part of regular katsina right. Plus this isn’t gonna be a daily so it’s gonna get better maintainer then normal. I’m all for greasing. Makes things last longer.
Hey, it would mean a huge deal if you and yer subscribers would give a channel i love a watch and maybe a shout out, it's "Urchfab" and he's a brilliant car builder and metal fab guy, trying to make great RUclips content. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

done - but next year - a 2.8 cummins in one of those cars :P
Love the Mars rover stance... fill the fender gap with more sidewall.

Hey deboss, we live in martinsvile about 5 minutes from the speedway. do you think the sunday meet will be at the race track?
YOU DONT NEED AN ALLEG-MINT!!
Minty coment peggin leggin
Your videos are ok
@@paulog8813 couldn't afford too...
Two 1 by 2's, bungee cords and a measuring tape FTW.
It’s no ford they don’t understand! By the way that white ford your building is fuckin mint

I am in the process of doing a Lincoln Mk V. The springs were replaced by Saskatchewan farm boys who managed to install four different springs.
That rim to tyre ratio is perfect. Not too much tyre like the 60's but also not skinny rubber bands like modern hothatches. They look so good!

I really appreciate the effort to set the car up for great daily driving rather than restoring to stock whale configuration. Nice gear and tires etc
9:00 I have a trolley jack like that too!! Can't throw away a goodish jack though. Just have to label it as 'Claustrophobia'.
best vid build ever cant get enough thanks
I have a 67 poncho as well, I hope it looks half this good when I’m done with it. Awesome work!
I have a floor jack that bleeds off like that too lol
Very similar tastes when it comes to ride height, rim and tire. It's all subjective I guess, but that's how I'd do it. Very nice!

LOVE the torq thrust wheels for most cars. The Goat is looking mighty fine even though I am not into shiny anymore...
I've been so excited for this video to come out!!
Them wheels look mint 👌🏻 such a transformation for the GTO
i drove a 67 tempest sprint custom 2dr hardtop for 20 years those cars drove excellent and handle surprisingly well with eagle GTs
P.S. brakes were awesome touch for they had NONE !!!!!!
box your trailing arms on the rearend helps and a rear sway bar antiroll
that front end looks all jacked up lol
10:12 had me concern for sec about the placement for the exhaust. Then I remembered a bumper goes there.
Stance is everything 👌🏼
Really enjoying this series. Giving me some good ideas and tips for my 68 Impala.
Can't wait to see this thing on Power Tour! I'll be there every day with my turbocharged 82 Grand Prix!

As usual you doing a awesome job buddy 😬👍🙌🏻
The car looks so good. I miss my 67 GTO I had for 12 years.
Will definitely be at martinsville
One of my first cars was a 64 Pontiac, drove its for 10yrs so easy to fix compared to a new ride.
Same size tires that are on my 2007 Acura TL. I like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (all season) tire. They last a long time and grip like superglue in the rain.

Great colour! Keep up the great work!😁
Omg the rims are gorgeous
Another great video 👍
More info about the progression on the Benz plz
Is copper the best to use on aluminium? I've always been taught that copper and aluminium makes galvanic corrosion.
thoughts?

Looks good brother!!!!
Great vid. I literally just purchased the same Aldan coilover setup for my TA
Are those deep scratches and small nicks on the right side fender lips? Particularly on the rear wheel opening lip. great looking car, btw.

235 seems a little thin for that car but you are running a fairly sticky tire so you should be good.
What is that guitar riff that starts at 0:48?
It sounds so good!
I don't know... Front runners on all four corners?
What was the spring rate of those springs that you bought in the front? 450 or 550lbs? Great video
Who was standing in the back at 4:57
The LS conversion of this car is going to get you a lot of views/subscribers:-)
So you've polished a car and now going on a road trip?
Also are you gonna put some white lettering on the tires?
Why is this channel not taking offf
He’s got almost a quarter million subscribers, I’d say it’s taken off

Whats oil pressure doing?
rack pinion,??.
Let me know when you are in California
Will the 14's fit over those disc brakes?
Not bloody likely. Those calipers are a lot larger than the stock fronts.
Unfortunately not. 15" is the minimum
Nice!!
It is your car, so do what you like. For me, I would have went with 19's and a lot bigger tire on the back.
I would have gone with a taller 60 series tire. Those look too small in diameter and too short of a sidewall... to me at least. The 70 series (first low profile) tires didn't come out until a few years after 1967... don't remember exactly when.
I have that exact size on my Audi lol
ERICTHECARGUY put the super EFI sniper on his dad's truck build
Nice.
You didnt take the sticker off the tires
Good excuse for a burnout. Not sure what to do about the fronts though....
should bag it
bags are bullshit..proper suspension,rack pin,not a mainstreet crawler.
👍
I still can't figure out if this is your car, or a customer.
do not grease the torrington bearings on the shocks!
only attracts road grime and wears them faster!
who's in agreement?

so dodge is 18,& gm is 75 ft lb.ford hubs 155,vw 260.,best torque is a 6" blond,allways tightens your nuts,proper....
Please take the stickers off the tires.
