    This was exactly the information I was looking for… tons of how to install… no “how much” to install. Thank you.

    Adding new springs with more lift. How do you know what ride height is unless you install springs and tires?

      Ride height is whatever your new spring adds. Stock is 12 and 8 for a TJ. If you got a 4" lift it would become 16 and 12.

    When determining what shock length I need for my lift, do I want to cycle the suspension with just the springs in?

    • @TheBFHGarage
      @TheBFHGarage  3 года назад +2

      You can't cycle a suspension with the springs in. Determining what size shock you need is a completely other topic. Questions that need answered are, how much lift do you have and do you have a preference for up or down travel. Not all shocks are equal. And shocks that advertise they work with 1-4" of lift usually don't.

      @@TheBFHGarage that's good to know. I am am looking at a 2 inch spring by pro comp along with the JKS 1.25 Body lift. I want to retain the 4 inches of uptravel but when looking at shocks they all have extended and compressed lengths and I am not sure on what I want to choose or how to maximize the amount of travel. It will be for 32 inch tires in the future.

      @@tdel8613 shock selection can be confusing for sure. Sounds like a good topic for a future video. My suggestion is to go on the Jeep forums and research before buying. There is a ton of good info out there.
