  • In spite of what a lot of people seem to think, the whole point of installing bump stop extensions isn’t necessarily to help prevent your tires from rubbing your fenders at a full flex. I mean, sure, they’ll do that too but that’s not the main reason why you should want them. The main reason is to help prevent things like your shocks from bottoming out and maybe more importantly, to help prevent the over compression of your coils. As in, compressing them to the point where they no longer return to their original height. It’s for this reason that most lift kits come with bump stop extensions that are about the same height as the lift you’re installing.
    Now, where things get tricky is when you want to upgrade your coils to something a bit taller but without having to install a whole new lift kit. Because most lift coils tend to yield way more lift than is advertised, this can make it hard to know just how much of a bump stop extension you really need. Of course, if you've just installed a bigger set of tires and would like to mitigate the rubbing you're now getting from them, a taller set of bump stop extension can be helpful there as well. Fortunately, Synergy came up with their all new Snap-Lock Bump Stop Spacer System.

    I have similar bump stops from Rock Krawler. The difference is the bolt goes through all three pucks. I like that these "snap on" and you only bolt the base puck. Pretty slick, thanks!

    These are nice, the locking feature looks to work well. If you're on a budget, I've also done the same using old hockey pucks drilled out the same way. Just need to adjust the bolt length as required to fit how many pucks you are going to use.

    🤔 wonder how these would work on my Teraflex Baja Speedbumps at 4” lift🤔
    Thanks Again for the new product info!

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 лет назад

      I would assume your 4" lift came with bump stop extensions but, these would work well to replace them.

      Wayalife I haven’t added the 4inch lift yet, I’m doing the research on everything. But this video has guided me to a better bump stop extension

  • @nitroxide17
    @nitroxide17 5 лет назад +2

    Sorry I'm confused. If the bump stop extension is the same height as the lift, then the lift doesn't add suspension travel?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 лет назад +1

      Shocks travel in 2 directions - up AND down.

  • @markcaruana2697

    Curious how these are holding up to impacts? I'm adding a 3/4 spacer to level my lift and at the same time I decided to get the metalcloak durospring bump stops so I was going down the rabbit hole and got the spring correction pads and now was thinking of these or the metalcloak hockey puck style bumps

  • @darrenroos6408

    Other then breaking my teeth on the washboard roads with the small bump stop gap, would this be an option to keep 35" tires from rubbing the fenders on a no-lift JLUR when articulating on the trail?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 лет назад +1

      Technically, yes but I really wouldn't recommend it.

    can you install this bump stop without lifting up the jeep ?
    sorry for my english

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 лет назад

      Probably not being that the winds of the coils will sit too closely together.

      But, these cost a hell of a lot more than hockey pucks :)

      I didn't install this in the rear but if I had, I would have installed 3

    so you used 3 pucks for an approx. 3" lift, I couldn't see if you had a bump stop on the upper coil area I think I saw a yellow color one, how big is that?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  4 месяца назад

      Correct. 3 pucks for about a 3" lift and what you're seeing is the factory jounce stop above.
