Agreed, but it's one of the things Cass is known for and they're good at playing with the whistle and making a unique sound... It's the ones that just constantly blow the same 4 note grade crossing sequence 35 times in a row that get on my nerves. Trains blow their whistles for crossings... they _don't_ blow their whistles for every single individual person, songbird and rabbit that wanders somewhat near the tracks, some engineers need to learn the difference.
Beautiful trip at the Cass Scenic Railroad in Cass, West Virginia of these beautiful geared steam locomotives and diesel locomotives.
