- On October 7th I made my way over to the Cass Scenic Railroad to make one more visit before the end of the regular season. The fall colors in the depot area were just starting to pop but everywhere else was at or almost near peak. Although it was windy and a little cold at times it was a great day all around and I even got to access's some new spots with the drone which turned out phenomenal. The whistles on that day were the Lunkenheimer 3 Chime on 4, Reading 6 Chime on 2, and a beautiful Crosby 3 Chime on 11. This time I spent a lot more time editing the video and it turned out to be my best video I have ever made and I'm super happy with how it turned out. As always thanks for watching!!

It was perfect. Literally perfect. And Shay 11’s Crosby is one of the greatest steam whistles I’ve ever heard in my entire life.
Thank you very much! I love the whistle as well!
@@cassscenicproductions8888 In my opinion, it rivals Climax 9’s Manns Creek Crosby. And that’s a LOT coming from me, as I LOVE that one.
@-_Spiral_- Oh yeah both are great whistles!
@@-_Spiral_- I think it's the same whistle Artie Barkley ran Shay 5 with in the 1980s. If you look up old clips on RUclips, the sound is virtually identical (it may sound a little different here considering Shay 11 has a higher boiler pressure due to its larger size).
This reminds me of life’s meaning and to just be happy sometimes ❤
Always love Cass. So beautifully all the trains and the whole area. One of the best steam trains. Wish I lived closer, would be there a lot. Really like to watch the working of SHAY TRAIN. Everyone should get the chance to ride the trains at CASS. 💯💯
Good lord, that whistle on 11 screams. I love it. Sounds awesome. Great video
Thanks! It does sound good!
Great video
Thanks!

Great Video!
Thanks!
I am headed out there this morning when I get off work. Nothing like a Steam Train Trip on the CSRR in the fall. It's always beautiful. For those going this weekend, and next weekend be sure to take warm clothes and rain gear, as it's calling for rain both weekends. I'm sure this video will be beautiful.
Have fun!
Video is beautiful! Thank so much! Leaves and Steam & Whistles echoing in the mountain is what it's all about!
I was there on Sunday and Monday and I got to see big 6 run
I was just at Cass a few weeks ago during my mountain bike trip at Snowshoe. You can hear those stunning whistles echoing through the mountains all the way in snowshoe.
Sweet!
12:50 Is that an Erie or Reading 5 Chime I hear?
That's a Reading 6 Chime.
Awesome video! Is that a new caboose behind the water tank at 5:43? I don't remember seeing it before.
Thanks! It is a new caboose. Walter Scriptunas recently bought it, and it will be turned into a little home!
@@cassscenicproductions8888 That's neat! Thanks for the reply!
@@julesharshberger8341 Your welcome!
I am going to be going tomorrow to Whitaker for my birthday
(Even though my birthday is on the 15th because no trains will be running at that time)
Sweet!
I know I m a month late but the 6 chime on 2 I was at back mountain road waiting for 6 and I heard 2 and I think another engine
