I mean the dude even used to main Horde so that makes him one of us FOREVER. Josh Keaton (Anduin), Patty Madsen (Sylvanas), Debra Wilson (Draka), Raye Chase (Sire Denathrius), and Alex Desert (Bwonsamdi) are all so incredible. The rest of the cast has its moments, but those 5 stand out to me. WoW has the greatest voice acting team.
@@jare3959 Agreed. I'm Horde for life and a Sylvanas girl, but I still love Anduin to death. I think part of it is that for long time players of the game, we have literally watched him grow up. Pretty much all the other main characters we were introduced to them as adults and while most of them have evolved over time, none so much as Anduin, the random human boy model hanging out in Stormwind Keep to the noble king, and now the Jailer's puppet. We even have had quests where we were literally Anduin's babysitter. So I very much hope that we can redeem him by the end of this storyline. I was just getting to like Varian Wrynn when they killed him off. As much as I still hold out hope that Sylvanas will turn against the Jailer and help free Anduin. Certainly it won't absolve her, but at least give her more depth of motivation than Garrosh...
@@Rocsanna Yes. He read Golden's "Before the Storm" and was wonderful. His goblin voices are terrific. His female voices were not fabulous but not intolerable. RUclips had the full audiobook and it might still be available.
Shalamourne fits well in English, but that's complicated to do the same in other languages. And I think they chose to give some importance to "King", probably because I think a lot of people don't even know that his sword is Shalamayne 😅

As a horde player i know anduin is kinda the enemy but i find myself drawn to him in shadowlands. Its nice to see the voice behind him is as awesome as the character
Can I just say that the life you bring to Anduin - who before Legion had little to no relevance to the story and I'm not sure how much of a personality he had - is amazing. Seeing his character development from expansion to expansion is truly remarkable and it's all because of your voice! I listened to the audiobook for Before the Storm shortly after it came out in 2018 and all the time I was listening to it I had this strange feeling that your voice sounds very familiar and the voice for Anduin especially. After finishing it, I did some research and found out you were the narrator. I wanna hug you so bad! You managed to make me bawl my eyes out during the scene where Wyll is dying. Good work man! And you absolutely nailed Greymane's voice. :D

May I just say that you play Anduin very well - he is one of my favorite WoW characters, I've been playing it since 2009, am now an older woman player and I've been watching the development of this lovely young man for all tht time. So well done, I hope you continue to be his voice.
I doubt very many people here listened to the audiobook version of Before the Storm. I did when it came out a couple summers ago and could listen to it over and over again. I wasn’t even aware that the narrator was you, the voice of Anduin, until after the fact, which made me realize why Anduin had been my favorite voiced character in the novel. Great job! You’re very skilled at making these characters sound compelling.
You have no idea. I would love an animated series for the game in general. There is soooo much great lore and I never want the cutscenes and cinematics to end.

One thing I noted almost immediately is your emotional reaction to Anduin appearing on the screen. Anduin brings you happiness. That’s SO nice to see. Anduin is special, he is one of my all time favorite characters in game. To see him grow from child to adult has created a feeling of connection, maybe attachment. I was disappointed initially when they corrupted him. I can only hope he comes back to be better than ever. And of course, very nicely done on bringing him to life.
This man is a god-damn national treasure. Seeing the wonderment in watching his voice acting come to life on the screen is the absolute purest joy I've seen in a long time.

Blizzard didn't fail to give a powerful evolution to Anduin but obviously you've played a great part in that success.
