Wow! I’ve been in pain for months and have seen multiple doctors with no relief. These were tough but I can feel them working the muscles that need it and am already feeling some relief after ONE round! I recently found out that my left hip pain is connected to my right foot pain. I’m going through the rest of your videos now to see what else you might be able to help me with! Thank you so much!

Felt like this is exactly what I needed.
Love your exercises and down to earth presentation. Thank you so much, Matt.
I fell on my butt and bruised my tailbone which caused butt spasms and sciatica for 6 weeks. Took 4 weeks off work and was able to start walking 3 miles every other day in the 2nd week off.
But I wasn't really strong enough yet.
And I got a lower right back pain. It now hurts to stride forward on my right leg so I have to walk slowly and limited distances...to bathroom, kitchen, etc.
I did cat-cow very slowly. Then hip hinge with bent knees. Now I can straighten my legs in 90 degree hip hinge. It was excruciating initially. But after a couple of days, it was possible to keep going.
So now I'm able to do the exercises in this video and just signed up for the back fix program.
I totally agree with what you said about rest, ice, injections, etc. It's an never-ending process.
So working with your proactive approach.
      It's empowering and motivating.

I found your video and did one round of exercises for side sleepers with hip pain and I cannot tell you how excited I am after just one round. I am feeling less stiff and hopeful. I have tried stretches to relieve the pain with no relief. I cannot thank you enough for recommending the natural way to relieve pain. I finally hit upon your channel in my alternative search for improvement of my hip and back pains. I have done a few different ones over the last 2+ weeks and my body has responded in a very positive way. Just over a month ago after spending days on a ladder, one morning I couldn't put my foot on the floor. The pain was horrendous. But after moving around slowly all morning doing my reg. house chores, I found that the pain dissipitated with movement.. A clue for sure that the cause was muscular. As you always say: NOT MOVING IS NOT GOOD for the body. Again Matt, thank you so very much.

Thank you so much for making this video. I’m 5 months pregnant and one night woke up with bad hip pain on my left side even with sleeping with a pregnancy pillow. There were more days where the pain was there and sometimes when I would sneeze. I looked up workouts for this in the middle of the night. It has been 3 weeks now of doing this. Sometimes I forget to do it but I shoot for at least once a day. If I’m energetic enough, it’ll be twice a day. One in the morning while I’m still in bed and the second closet to bed time. This has been so helpful. The pain is now very minimal to the point it doesn’t wake me up at night or ruin my day when I’m walking.

Any thoughts on how to remedy or avoid hamstring cramps (in particular when doing the bent leg exercises)?

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  2 года назад +11

      😀
Short answer: make your hamstrings stronger. May be as simple as starting with hamstring curls with ankle weights and progressively increasing resistance. Most people have INCREDIBLY weak hamstrings and even a small amount of exertion leads to immediate cramping.

Great exercises and good advise. I have a question. Do you think wearing a weight belt or vest while exercising on a treadmill will make my exercise routine a bit tougher and cause me to burn more calories. I typically walk about 3.5 to 4 MPH, 4% incline, and do between 3 and 6 miles per session. I usually walk three to four days a week. So do you think adding weight will help burn more calories on a treadmill. Thank you for posting.

Two "issues": X-rays show arthritic deterioration in my left hip. Am I likely to exacerbate the deterioration? I'm trying to tone up muscles in advance of a hip replacement. Thing 2: When I bring my knee joint to approximately 90 degrees, I start to get "charlie horse" muscle cramps in my hamstrings. Suggestions? I have bi- lateral knee replacement, by the way. I'm 82 y.o.

I don't have hip pain while side sleeping, mine is while sleeping on my back! Dang hip flexors are so tight. But my hips crackle and crunch so much I think I'm going to add this to my exercises and hope it helps in general (I have a lot of weakness in my hips/glutes, currently going to PT to try to rectify)
