I bought the Facecam MK 2 during prime day sale for $119, while I did think the OBSbot Tiny is a good buy I wanted the MK 2 for Elgato Prompter which I also bought. As for the feedback on which camera looks better, I prefer the MK 2 color range in your video, the Tiny2 dynamic range has added a bit much vibrance/HDR which seem a bit unnatural. For a gamer the Tiny2 might be a better buy but MK2 combined with Prompter and StreamDeck Mini is a powerful combination.
I didn't like the colour profile of the obsbot in the video, oversaturated the colours imo. Did you find the same in your experience with the obsbot when compared against the facecam mk.2, or do you in the think in the video he applied too strong filters for the obsbot/managed to correct better in the elgato software for the facecam?
Interesting you say this because over a period of use I've noticed that one set along color values in one app isn't the same as the same values in the other app. Id say it was more an issue of my logic when copying the color values

I've just bought a tiny 2 lite on eBay for £75. Alternative would have been £125 for the mk.2. The obsbot seems like it's a better camera, hope I made the right decision. I'm upgrading from a Logitech streamcam, which blows out my face when natural light comes in from the window infront of my desk. Hopefully HDR solves the issue.
Nice video. I have the insta 360 and will wait for their next iteration but I do respect what Obsbot has been up to. however in this video I prefer by far the image of the FaceCam.

What perfect timing. Hey did you notice for the Obspot if the face tracking works if you are just leaning one way or another if the camera is centered in front of you? Or is it not that sensitive? I often lean due to chronic pain and wind up out of frame when streaming. Im hoping it can pick up slight movements like that.
There are different "sensitivity" levels you can select, normal, fast, slow when it comes to tracking. However I found that regardless of the setting it does pick up movement relative to the range. Slight move to a side results in slight camera adjustment, drastic move to a side results in camera visibly moving to track you.
see, food for thought! IF you are single pc gaming/streaming, you do NOT want to do 4k downscale to 1080 as it makes your encoding go up and possible missed frames on encoding!! I use the Facecam AND I have the 1080p OBSBOT Tiny for my stream!!
True, but Barney you got the $$$ to get both, not everyone does. So in the case where it's one or the other is vote tiny 2 lite for sure. Now, how big of a difference is the performance impact from streamong a 1080 cam at 1080 vs a 4k cam downscaled to 1080?
@@StreamGearTalk ok, I actually have owned both the Insta360 link 4k AND the elgato pro 4k, and in my case at the time when I had a single pc setup, it caused my OBS cpu usage and GPU usage to go up about10% on both, went back to my elgato facecam 1080p and back to normal! ALSO side note both the Instalink 360 AND the Facecam Pro both looked worse quality at 1080p then my facecam, even when I had the Elgato Facecam Pro @ 1080p with the same settings as the Facecam, it looked worse! NOW, for the case of RUclips videos, I can NOT agree with you more!! for RUclips videos go 4k all the way and downscale, but for live streaming on a single PC, unless GOD like hardware, stick to 1080p! The OBSBOT Tiny 1080p camera I have looks GREAT and I got it for 140 with tax and shipping direct from OBSBOT!!
To be honest, I think both look terrible. ( Nothing to do with your review. Amazing review ) One is faded, the other is too saturated and I do not think that the software would help that. I see a ton of noise and artifacting when you move and blur on edges and a lot of hot pinks in areas that there is shadow. I see the desire to have these ready to go for streamers and maybe even podcaters but it just doesnt look professional. I feel like your back Camera on an Iphone 15-16 oro max would destroy these.

The tiny 2 lite is amazing and so is the facecam mk2. Either one is the right decision. But for £75 you can't beat the tiny 2 lite !
