For someone who's alway on the go, I'd want a device that's got a larger sensor which Obsbot Tiny 2 has. The contrast and lighting are very much manageable with Obsbot giving me perfect visuals every time.
I've got both, too. I think the Insta360 has a sharper image over the Obsbot 4k Tiny and the Obsbot has a smaller tool set for adjusting your image manually - for example I can't choose a 1/60 shutter speed, Obsbot has a baked in 1/40 and 1/80, I think. Not ideal for shooting 4k 30fps video, whereas the Insta360 works fine. I also think the Obsbot's color tuning is a bit off, it looks yellower at 5400K than the Insta360, but I can tune that a bit by fiddling with the settings. ETA - I see you discovered the shutter speed issue!
When it comes to image quality, I think the images produced by Obsbot are more natural and real, while those produced by Insta360link are prone to overexposure. And besides the picture quality, I think Tiny 2 has more functions than Insta360 link, such as their voice control and remote control, which bring me a different experience
Hello. You forgot: Tiny 4K (even first Tiny 4K) has hdr for 4K. Insta360 has no hdr for 4K. But Tiny 4K has too bright hdr. I bought Logitech MX Brio with very good hdr 4K.
Listened on iPad mini. Audio - point goes to Insta. You can hear the background noise on Tiny2. On insta the noise cancellation is working. Price - in Canada obsbot is 100$ is more expensive. Bought the insta, we shall see. Thanks for the review. You might be the only one who mad the comparison. Cheers🎉
The software offers a wide range of shooting modes, allowing users to explore their creativity and capture unique shots effortlessly. Whether it's following an object, circling a subject, or creating dynamic time-lapse sequences, Obsbot Tiny 2 software has it covered.
I gotta give it to you for a really excellent presentation of the 2 cameras side-by-side. But I didn’t see what you saw in autofocus and the (yeah, non-ideal) mics. The Insta won the audio as slightly less muddy, also focused faster in your examples. And, ironically, I preferred the less yellow auto-color balance in the Osbot (in the first half. Somehow, that color advantage went to Insta in the 2nd half! Off) So… I’m happy with my Insta, but the Osbot is a serious alternative. Both are so much better than the previous generation of cameras you can’t lose buying either.
Thank u for the nice video. I have a problem with instalink 360. My audio dont sync with the video when the video is longer than 15 min. Does obsbot have the same problem?
TY for the comprison. IMO, the auto-leveling feature of the Insta360 is a (the?) key feature that the Obsbot does not have (hardware). OTOH, I wish the Insta360 had the blur background feature (software). With luck, Insta360 will add blur background feature. The killer feature I want for the Insta360 (next generation) is standalone battery powered recording to an SD card… for vlog et al. (i.e., no need for computer). Perhaps wishful thinking, but there’s a Kickstarter for such a camera, so I hope Insta360 is working along those lines too. Again, the auto-leveling would be grand for standalone/vlogging use… and vlogs typically want the background to be visible, so the lack of background blue would be a non-issue.
I agree with you on that but my preference would be on OBSBOT Tiny 2 because of its convenience and the quality it give on the current version of Insta360. The software also offers a lot of features and its a plus for me hehe.
Hi, quick question. I livestream my daughters swim meets & we currently use cheap webcams with OBS on a pc. Do you think either of these cameras would have depth of field to focus on the whole pool? I am looking to upgrade the cameras but this would be top of our current budget. Just wondering if they stay focused out far enough for the pool. Thanks
I'll try to get out this week to get some wide shots and follow up with some samples. Both of these cameras are fairly wide, but I will also include some samples of the Nexigo Iris, which is a super wide view.
Forgive me for the tin foil hat side of me, but am I the only one who just went on Obsbot and Insta360 websites, clicked on these two cameras and scrolled down and felt like the Twilight Zone? Any chance they are the same company based on China? It's just crazy as I scroll it's literally almost the same experience as they talk about the features of the cameras.
I don't think it's likely. Insta's webcam market is an afterthought for them. They are primarily producers of 360 and action cameras, and Obsbot has been making webcams for a while longer. I wouldn't see the financial feasibility in creating an entire separate company just to compete with one's own product.
I feel like the Obsbot is either focused on the boom arm or the T-Shirt, which is making the Insta360 Link give a better image quality on the face. Your beard is significantly sharper on the Insta360.
Honestly, quality wise, Insta360 wins. You know what they say, "less is more." I'd rather go for better video and picture quality than going for massive features that may not be useful in the future. Good video.
My issue with the insta is the privacy concerns with all the stuff they collect and send to China. Is there anything with the software for the Obsbot like that?
If I sync the sound in the very beginning with a clap, footage from my Insta360 Link, and the .wav from my audio interface, both recorded in OBS, why after an hour of straight recording, is the video an entire second or more ahead of the sound (the lack of synchronization worsens the longer the recording)?
That’s a common issue when syncing video and audio, not sure why, it has something to do with video frames. But you can solve it by time stretching the audio in a video editing software.
I really dislike the price fixing on Amazon UK for the Obsbot Tiny 2. Some days it is selling for £236 and then it goes up to £329 that is more than £100 difference ($126 US dollars). Governments needs to stop this manipulation. Does Amazon in the US do the same?
You really screwed the pooch on saying that both cams are equal in auto focus. thr Insta's reaction time was very noticeably faster in adjusting it's focus after you changed the distance of the PC board. Insta was superior in that category.
I didn't say they were equal, I said they were "about even". Which they are. The differences in focusing speed is extremely minor, that difference is not large enough to impact everyday use. If I did 100 tests, and either of them performed extremely poorly repeatedly, that would be cause for concern. But overall, they both perform extremely well, grabbing focus quickly 99% of the time. So they are "about even".
Nice informative video. The 2nd I watched in the Tiny 2. Yet it's also the 2nd spotting some annoying and unnecessary background music. I don't know if that's just me. But to my taste if I want to watch product reviews background music just doesn't add to the experience in a positive eay. Besides that great video! Thank you so much!
@@LowDoughTech I apologize if I should have offended you in any way. That's probably due to me being a German and it's true, we are often just too outspoken. I like your video a lot, your way of reviewing and all. So yeah, it's just me not being fond of background music in reviews. But I still will keep watching reviews if that makes any sense. Again, please forgive me for confirming with the stereotype that we Germans are just way too direct at times..😬
I do not agree to some of the numbering allocated. You are somewhat biased towards obsbottiny, i thing the numbering is not fair. However, the comparison is good.

It's hard to make the choice in image quality. I go back and forth. I gave it to the Obsbot because of the better low-light, but they are really so close, in some shots the Insta looks better, in others the Obsbot. In the same frame that you reference, look at the shirt and microphone, so I think it's not a matter of detail, but contrast.

Then why don’t you bring a dslr. The Osbot is to large and disqualified for anyone on the move.
@@AlbertKel do yo mean there are dslr cams that smaller than the Obsbot tiny 2?
I exaggerated to make a point.M🎉

I agree. Listening on my television it was obvious to me that the Insta sounded a lot better.
So what do you think after having the insta360?
Image quality is far way better with Obsbot Tiny 2 than the Insta360.
Thanks for this comparison, I've been looking at getting a decent PTZ webcam, and your thoughts really helped me with my own scoring!
Hello nice vidéo ! One question, you show your clamp solution and it is realy great, what is the ball head you fixed on the clamp ? It's looks good

I've personally never had that problem with either Insta or Obsbot. Sorry I can't be of more help.

How about vertical mode on insta? ;)
Because of a really specific use case, I need to move with the camera real time. How is the stabilization if any?
That point would go to the Insta. The gimbal does horizontal leveling, Obsbot does not.
Which mic are you using here?

Obsbot wins cuz I also think Link has some image setting advantages & lower cost for RUclips

hmm Highly suggest tiny2 if you use Desk Mode a lot. it much better
