Editors NOTE!!!: during 17:41 - 23:53 the OBSBOT Tiny 2 was in 1080P, and the Insta360 Link was in 4K after having to reboot my computer due to the insta360 Link freezing up on me on several times. By default the webcams open in 1080p mode, and I forgot to switch the OBSBOT Tiny 2 back into 4k30 before recording this segment. I did not notice this until after this video had been posted and watching it in full screen mode. 😱😯😤
This is a great video. I think its the most comprehensive comparison I saw of the 2. You are the only one to mention the keystroke tracking. Thanks a bunch
Plus, OBSBOT is cranking out ways to add accessories to really level up the Tiny 2, from HDMi adaptors so you can use a capture card, or NDI adaptors (video coming on this next week) to allow You to upgrade it to an NDI camera connection too!
Great video! Do you happen to know if it’s possible to control the Tiny 2’s settings when connected to the Osbot UVC to HDMI Adapter which is output via HDMI to an Atem Mini Pro ISO? Thank you.
great video and great presentation... thanks for clearing out the field. however my personal opinion is that colors on tiny2 seem a bit more artificial and it gives a gloss effect which my eyes don't like so much. Insta 360 in my opinion have more natural colors
In all honesty…they are both great webcams and whichever one you end up with…you’re gonna like it. My friend Bark at Obscure Mics uses the insta360 Link as his main camera for his videos and he has no desire to upgrade! OBSBOT just released the tiny2 LITE, almost exact same camera but not as many of the extra Features for just $179.
@@levelupwithmikenewman from all reviews I watched tiny2 seems better... seems like lite version have some bugs on follow area and also no voice commands just like 360. If I'm buying I'm buying tiny 2... checked online I can get it in Germany for 282€... That's a fair price
Hello Mike. Been looking at comparisons between the 360links and tiny 2 and you convinced me. However what about the microphone reducing noice on the tiny 2. Do i really need a seperate microphone like you ? Which one was it that you are using and why not using the build-in one on the tiny 2. Looking forward to your comment on that.
The built in mic on the tiny 2 is adequate for zoom calls, video conference calls, but for content creation, podcasts it is very poor with noise rejection, but that is the same with all webcam mics. Have a separate mic gives you more control over background noise, noise floor, and listener fatiqueits useful having the. Jolt in mic in a pinch when you just need to communicate with somebody, but for entertainment it’s not suitable for viewer listener retention. 👍🏻
Thanks, nice video! Do you have a new discount link? Yesterday, the one you provided still worked, but today it does not have an effect on the price anymore :(
Mate, We have a pastor who wanders 360° around the room during the sermon. Which of these would be best to track him as he ministers and send to zoom/record? Which one or both will keep following him with audience in the background.
yeah there is so many features that obsbot has and insta360 does not support yet.. I'm liking voice controll and zone tracking..! thanks for the detailed review
Thanks you for this great comparison! 1 Question: If i use the osbot with ATEM Mini (or Yolobox), can I still have the traking features with the different places? (by a remote control)
Unfortunately I do not have the answer to that one. I do not have atem mini, I use a 4x4 matrix / hdmi switcher. I know the tracking features always will be available through the hand signals, even without downloading the OBSBot software. Just won’t be able to really dial in the exposure, white balance without using the app.
I spent a minute tuning my image settings of the insta360 and easily got the same contrast and balance and color saturation you liked from the obsbot. It seems like both of these cameras are excellent but I think the image on both of these can easily get you what you want if you spend a minute tuning it.
Exactly. I loved them both, and still use the premium webcams all the time from unboxing vids to livestreams. The ability to follow me around as if I have a camera man in the studio is a total game changer for my workflow. 👍🏻
Absolutely, I totally agree! It's amazing how a minute of tweaking can make such a difference in the image quality of these cameras but I like obsbot's features and Image quality more than link
You start reviewing products you have, products you buy yourself, and eventually if your videos are good or getting views, company will ask if you will review their gear on your channel too. Just be sure to be upfront with them before they send you stuff that you are not their salesman, you review things for the viewers, and do things your way, your opinions not theirs. 👍🏻
That’s one of the reasons I left the video up and didn’t pull it down to reshoot it. I think it really speaks to the quality of the 1080p performance of the OBSBOT. 👍🏻
One thing that does not seem mentioned is that the Tiny 2 consistently struggled to focus on you, you spent 50% of the time slightly out of focus with on the Tiny 2.
The OBSBot is “too good “ at acquiring objects you hold up to the webcam in frame and shifting to focus on them, that my mic in frame kept stealing my focus. So I keep my OBSBot in manual focus if I have to have a mic in tight to my face, and switch back to auto focus if I don’t have anything near my face. Then it is amazing autofocus. I try to use a shotgun mic or my lavaliere when moving around and I need the mic to travel with me anyway and there is no issue with the focus without a mic in between my face and the webcam. 👍🏻
That's good to know, because from the video it seemed very concerning to me, essentially looking like it was always going to be slightly blurry. However, I have noticed this suboptimal autofocus in other video reviews of the Tiny 2 so it does seem like there are some problems with it a bit, more than maybe just a mic in the frame. But thanks for the extra details, that's helpful.
Honestly, in my opnion tiny two is much better price for money than even zv e 10, since they are near but zv e 10 cost MUCH more, including lens. In my country the whole DSLR kit is at 4 times the price of tiny two
Don’t get me wrong, I liked the OBSBot more, but the Insta360 is still amazing. It’s like Lamborghini and Ferrari, one may like the other more…but they’re both awesome cars and better than the rest!
@@josephlangmalakas54 my insta360 did not track well at all with sudden movements. But it was great with focus performance. It isn’t an issue if you use it for talking head shots though.
Wasn’t paid, wasn’t sponsored. No money exchanged hands. I even sold my insta360 link to a friend after this video because I have only used my OBSBot since. OBSBot is really straight up kicking some butt !

Wow 😱 that's even more impressive. because we did not recognize it's 1080p. I hope you will upload one more video with Tiny2 in 4K
Awsome, tiny2 1080p quality even better than insta360's 4k? haha
I keep going back and forth between a webcam and camera. It’s amazing how these webcams have improved. Thanks for the info.
What a great review. You just keep it entertaining all the way to the end. Thank you very much.👍
Thanks! gotta have a little fun along the way! 🤣😂 my cat is still mad at me too for stepping on her during the tracking test. 🤪

You can do this with the remote control

that's funny, how come tiny's 1080p is even better than link's 4k!! Thanks for your reivew. now I know what to get

The OBSBOT is better at holding onto targets as they are tracking. My insta360 link would lose me at times if I moved too fast.

Much appreciated! Thanks! In the end you can’t go wrong with either one, they are both REALLY GOOD webcams!!!
does it not have 1080p 60Fps ?
Any differences in audio quality?
I felt like the differences were minimal. The color accuracy and tracking performance are where the separate, but audio is a toss up

What about low light situations with one you pic?
As far as low light performance they both do well, but the OBSbot gives you more depth of colors
I think he was trying to show how the two compared "out of the box" / "default" without adjustments.
Great review, thanks!
