Same, at the Kingswood Theatre in Toronto Ontario, Canada... and it should have been the other way around... FIXX are true craftsmen of clever music across the ages with truly creative songs... AFOS had the talent to capture a sound that resonated in the 80's.
thank you so much for recording this and sharing this! It is priceless to me, and so wonderful at 1080p 60fps! Honestly thank you. I don't live in a country that allows me to see these guys live so this is extremely valuable to me. You filmed and edited this very well. I can't thank you enough.
I so wanted to go to this show, but could not make it. Thank you so much for posting this excellent recording! It's the next best thing to being there. Reach the beach!!
i like the sound of flock of seagulls i really really do its amazing what mike score and his boys over the years paul frank ali and these guys r fing genius
I saw them in Philly on that tour! The Fixx is my band. My ears were ringing so much from the Flock, they were way to loud, believe it or not even for a 19 year old.
STAND OR FALL... is my favorite tune... the bass player... just sits there and keeps it all in line... love the guitar with that twang and sustain... just perfect... cy is a great front man... one of the best.... needs to be in the HALL OF FAME.... they owned a few moments in the 80's and that was the time... that was the time when music was colorful and full of strange interesting singers... and sounds.. no it all sounds the god dam same... basic corp. rock and it sucks... no one is really original anymore ...
I really enjoyed this, thanks uploader , I saw AFOS back in 83 but never the Fixx, seen a few YT video's with them.. but this is a really good show and lol at the glance of the watch at 1:27:41 also, best bit of the gig when Cy motions to the crowd 1:02:46
The Fixx and the Church- two bands with 4 decades of "classic" members and a catalog of songs- that should be stadium acts. They're ahead of their time. How about other bands that are still touring whose body of work should be more appreciated?I'll start it off with the amazing Blue Oyster Cult.
Jamie West-Oram sounded awesome..sounds just like he did 30 years ago..always had a very distinct high compression guitar sound and playing style. Too bad Paul Reynolds isn't playing for The Flock, would have loved to see two of my favorite guitarists in one gig.
Fact that it's still all the 5 core members that are all still on top of their game is a feat in itself not to many bands that have been together 40 years can say that.
This lineup of the Fixx is the same one as the early 80s, they've been together almost the whole time, except when Brown left in the 90s and came back in the 00's. They still sound great, still look pretty healthy, that must be awesome to be a part of that band.
@@Paul-Mac ... That's not Mike's fault though. Paul couldn't handle the limelight pressure/touring & had drug issues, Ali had brotherly/artistic conflicts & Frank stayed until their 1986 album flopped. As the old adage says, "The show must go on." Mike resurged AFOS after their experience with VH1 in 2003, where he initially said AFOS was buried & in the past. The original lineup has mostly only come together during studio album production, like in 2018-2021, while the other lineup with Mike does the live gigs such as in the video above, because the touring lineup is younger & can handle the travelling. The live gigs with the non-original lineup has helped keep the Seagull memory alive for old fans, makes new fans, & continues to make income for Mike with the band he founded nearly 5 decades ago & got huge in the early 1980s. 08/12/24
Decades ago, I saw The Fixx as the opening act for AFOH, and I always liked both bands, but The Fixx were much more my favorite than AFOH. Now AFOH opens for the The Fixx...ironic. AFOH would sound better if so much of the music were not pre-recorded and if he were not singing over his own lyric track. Sounded so off. Cy Curnin...WOW! What a rocker voice!
Remember seeing the original lineup back in the 80s at the Holy City Zoo in Birmingham UK. A great gig and a great night. I bought Paul Reynolds a drink. Watching this lineup is embarrassing. What must Bill Nelson think ?
How about the suitcase that was up front and next to the monitors on the bass player's side of the stage until about the 24 minute mark when some roadie discovered it on the stage :)
When the Fixx start playing there are no keyboards in the mix. You can see the guitarist is like where the f*** are the keys. The Fixx sound great live!
key board died it looks like... and cy the constant pro keeps on going and never turns around even with the sound fucked up.. he just plays it and sings... he is such a pro.... man... gotta love the band... o o .. ohhhh ohhhhh ohhhh ... o .. o.... ohhhhhhhooooooooooooooo !!!
Flock Of Seagulls and The Fixx are two of my favorite New Wave bands ever! This is a dream concert!!! :)
The Fixx still sounds good. Thanks for the video.
The Fixx....was the soundtrack of my youth....Love you guys....psk
I saw The FIXX open for A Flock of Seagulls in the summer of 1983. Still one of the best concerts I have ever witnessed!
Same here.

Coming back to this again: it's amazing how many hit songs the Fixx actually has when you add 'em up. What a killer band.
Every one of them are great
And the fact it's still the same 5 core members of amazing.
Simply marvellous to find contempo Flock of Seagulls material... And in FLORIDA!!?!!¡! Such a special place in my heart for them!
Those songs sure bring back some Great Memories!!! Thanks to all those bands!!!
thank you so much for recording this and sharing this! It is priceless to me, and so wonderful at 1080p 60fps!

Love the fixx, and the crowd were great with singing Red Skies in tune !!!! Thats city to move to !
Cool how The Fixx added a little bit of "Why can't you be good to me" at the end of "Secret Separation". 👍
I so wanted to go to this show, but could not make it. Thank you so much for posting this excellent recording! It's the next best thing to being there. Reach the beach!!

The Fixx still sound awesome . The 80s are still cool .
wow, first concert I went to in 1982 , and the Fixx opened up for the Flock of Seagulls
Same experience and same date for me too (in Brussels)
draculascoffin Saw that same line up in Saratoga, NY back in the day!!
I saw them in Philly on that tour! The Fixx is my band. My ears were ringing so much from the Flock, they were way to loud, believe it or not even for a 19 year old.
OMG! Me to. Though I would never admit to it on UTUBE. Shit, I just did.
Two big bands 4 ever !!!
Thanks 4 share !!!
this is the story of a youuunnnggggg heart... i love A F O S
Epic album.
wOw, the Fixx, all original members.

There is a reason Cy Curnin is here with his original band members, and Mike Score is not. We miss you Reno!
How much is enough is one my favorites awesome
Great performance. The fixx is awesome
This is so awesome. Thank you for recording it!
i like Flock of Seagulls..then..now...forever..YEAH!
Very different from today, songs that will never be forgotten.
We need good music back.
I'm in West Palm and unfortunately I couldn't go :(( awesome share..thanks!!!!! The FIXX still sound same !!
Thanks for posting!

Being the New Waver that I am, I enjoyed both Bands. However, The Fixx was my favorite performance of the two.
Jamie West-Oram sounded awesome..sounds just like he did 30 years ago..always had a very distinct high compression guitar sound and playing style. Too bad Paul Reynolds isn't playing for The Flock, would have loved to see two of my favorite guitarists in one gig.
The original lineup has reunited once again on a new project.
I like the fact that Tina Turner recognized his guitar mastery and invited him to play on "You Better Be Good to Me".
Fact that it's still all the 5 core members that are all still on top of their game is a feat in itself not to many bands that have been together 40 years can say that.
Referring to The Fixx here, What an UNDERRATED AMAZING BAND!!!!!!
One big thing I admire about the The Fixx is that it's still the same 5 core members after all this time. 🤘
Thanks for sharing this.
The Fixx's bass player's stage presence finally evolved into that of a human musician that moves his body and makes facial expressions.
he went to being still again. which I love more
I saw The Fixx back up A Flock Of Seagulls in 1983 in Calgary. I was close to the front, still have some great photos.
"Modern Love is Automatic" might be the best song of the New Wave era.
I was cool hearing _Man Made_ live though.
I’ve seen probably a 80 bands live and the best sounding was The Fixx by miles. Really clean and tight sounding.
Same 5 guys playing together for 40 years will do that.
Man Made brings me right back 80s all over Great
amazing after all these years.
This lineup of the Fixx is the same one as the early 80s, they've been together almost the whole time, except when Brown left in the 90s and came back in the 00's. They still sound great, still look pretty healthy, that must be awesome to be a part of that band.
Well said, love The Fixx !!
40 years they've been together same 5 guys that's a feat in itself.
The fixx one of my favorites bands yeaaaaa!!!
That is a Flock of Seagulls cover band with the original singer....period.
Yep! Looks like just one seagull to me!

@@Paul-Mac Yep, just not the same without the other three!
Yep!
Los Lobos with mike score
🤣🤣🤣🤣Algo así
Tha Fixx are awesome!!!!!!!
Not the same without all the Original Members there - is it? The VH1 Bands Re-united had me in Tears - this just isn't the same !!
Mike is like tone deaf when live. I can hit those notes on key better than him. Been a fan since I was a teen. Paul is only 3 years older than me.
he should stop stamping his foot to the beat, makes his voice even wonkier than usual.
The original members have reunited once again. They are working on a new album/project...
@@JT_1 he's been doing that ever since 😂
Still exquisitely talented.....................!!!
The Fix was the bomb.
No Reyno, no Flock.
That's Paul's fault though.
Both bands are bloody awesome but Jamie West-Oram is a freakin genius, full stop!!
No one sounds like West-Oram. So funky and atmospheric at the same time.
Holly SHIT........The Fixx. Haven't heard their music since early to mid 80's. Those tapes were played until they commit suicide in the tape deck.
Decades ago, I saw The Fixx as the opening act for AFOH, and I always liked both bands, but The Fixx were much more my favorite than AFOH. Now AFOH opens for the The Fixx...ironic. MTV brought this to me Back in the Good All Days
Espectacular, ambos grupos... qué recuerdos.
the fix have not lost a beat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s one seagull and a flock of imposters lol
los escucho y los veo de los 80s buenisimos
It's not "A Flock of Seagulls" but Mike Score and his new band!
Yes I agree I see as just Mike score new band
@@shanebrown4146 what band is "still one of the greatest/nicests". Can be the new one if you use the word "still"
Shit, what I would have given to have been at this gig!!!!
AFOS lyrics are still 20 years ahead.
Hes good but he aint Paul Reynolds.
didn't think Paul Reynolds was in The Fixx lol
Who's Paul anyway.
@@williampercival7662 the original guitarist of a flock of seagulls
Nah, he sucked and so does the guy they have on guitar nowadays.
I always loved this band. So underrated.

Man Made fucken awesome
#1 rule of rock: never let the bass player talk
The beginning of Man Made blows me Away
The drummer is playing amazing. Very talented.👍
1:53 Jaime playing David Gilmour's Comfortably Numb solo.
It's at 1:01:53
It's at 1:01:53

Why was the drummer "buried". Anyways; "Listen" was my favorite cassette tape.
Menudo with Mike Score
Celebrating Independence day with 2 British bands, one of which is highly critical of American military policy. USA! USA!
RSAN gave me the chills..
51:10 for my fellow peeps looking for I Ran (So Far Away).
1:06:59. Cy: "how much is enough?" Fan: "Never!" Fan obviously doesn't understand the song.
51:20 is what you are looking for!
+Steve Davis ok so whats the name of the song? i heard it before.
+Karl Warner "I Ran, So Far Away"
should have known too and thanks NMB Charger.
They had a lot of great songs. They won a Grammy for "DNA". And actually Space Age Love song is my fave from them. I Ran is cool too.
Thank you!
So…..1/4 of the Flock then !
what? so he flunked Flock? then get the Flock outta here!(History of the World Part 1)
Que guitar brand is it playing, anybody???
1:00:55 The Fixx
The best part!!
I didnt know Michael Chiklis is in a Flock of Seagulls cover band. Its good seeing him doing something after those horrible Fantastic Four movies.
I was there
Cy curnin play guitar on driven out i love it
When the Fixx start playing there are no keyboards in the mix. You can see the guitarist is like where the f*** are the keys. The Fixx sound great live!
Rupert was having technical issues. You can see a crew member around his keyboards trying to fix the issues.
What is the name of the song from FOS that starts at 28:35
Man made, from the first album
SECRET SEPARATION GREEEEEAAAATTTT!
Nein, das ist nicht mehr Flock Off Seagulls😢,Paul Reynolds ❤fehlt dabei.Weiterhin GUTE BESSERUNG FÜR RENO!
I like.to this.version yep
Nothing says rock and roll like a suitcase on the stage front and center. Ironically I saw The Fixx opening for A Flock of Seagulls in 1983
Best version of "man made" on this.
Where is the song list in the description??
wheres the list on comments
key board died it looks like... and cy the constant pro keeps on going and never turns around even with the sound fucked up.. he just plays it and sings... he is such a pro.... man... gotta love the band... o o .. ohhhh ohhhhh ohhhh ... o .. o.... ohhhhhhhooooooooooooooo !!!
wow is that mike score?
Looks like the flock has dwindled to a single bird…sad
A single bird ... with no plumage 😂
Terrific vocals, terrific band............
Does one Seagull make a flock? Mike Score is the only original member on that stage, so I think not.....ugh.
Not AFOSG without Paul.
日本で言う懐メロみたいなものだけど、フロリダの人が羨ましい
its not a flock of seagulls.its mike score and some sessionists
Plaster cast on foot was there
This concert works very well on Christmas Eve!
Either FOS didn’t perform with a drummer or you didn’t want to film him.
Audience cam. Not too much mobility.
