    New Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ic/1AFIN00028
    The fuel tank pressure sensor feeds data about pressure inside the fuel tank to the EVAP system to determine if there are evaporative leaks in the system. A bad sensor will most likely trigger a check engine light for the EVAP system. This video shows you how to install a new fuel tank pressure sensor in your 2006-10 Ford Explorer.

    I've never had automotive repair experience like this before, and even though it took me 4 1/2 hours to complete, this was a well put together guide. Thanks for the help y'all

    I just did this on my 2010 XLT. Your video was thorough and awesome. Took me 6 hours but I also replaced the intake gaskets, cleaned the throttle body and replaced the fuel filter.

      What made you replace the fuel pressure sensor? My truck runs fine for a second then it starts to feel like it’s drowning and smells like gas

    I am so glad I saw your video and stuck around and watched until the end. I can be really impatient and was ready to go ahead and tackle the problem. With that said your video was very helpful well said and well done for me to comprehend. Thank you

    Wow man that was a very in depth tutorial thank you so much. I was able to replace the sensor and put everything back together from your video. Those 10ml bolts were a trick tho, probably took the longest, mine were rusted on. I let Penetrate oil sit overnight and was only able to get them off with a air ratchet

    Hey I left the EGR connected, I took out the bolt on the passenger side, and left the other one in, I disconnected the intake from the engine disconnected the line on top of the cover, dus connected the two in the back with clamps, disconnected the one in the back wall with the tight space.
    Then I lifted the valve cover and took the rail sensor out and replaced it, cut down the time a little.

    What's the reason for removing the air filter housing, egr and throttle body? Those seem like completely unnecessary steps if all one needs to remove is the intake manifold to get to the sensor.

    You did a great job on that video

  • @bellpaleale
    @bellpaleale 7 месяцев назад +1

    Adding another comment. You can leave the EGR valve on the air intake manifold and there will be enough room to pull on the air intake with it on. You still have to disconnect the vacuum hose and electrical connector. That means it’s easier to take off and install with the manifold out of the car.

    This is for 06-10 Explorers, but it's the first video I have found that comes close to my 2004 model. Most have the sensor at the end of the fuel rail and not under the intake. I had a few minor differences, but it has gotten my car fixed and hopefully I'll know in a few days if the light stays off.

      I had the same issue for my 2005 Explorer, I think it's under the intake and not off to the side like a lot of other videos suggest.

    Ugg, of course the torx is so rusty cant get them out, changed ERG and o2 sensor, check engine lite off now, but still low idle at rest and park, ugg. Cant get the fuel pressure regulator sensor changed because rusty torx bolts. Runs great while driving, response great and instant, but still chuggs while parked. Will check codes tomorrow .

    Llevo meses teniendo una tembladera muy ligera en bajas revoluciónes creo que en verdad ha estado fallando cierto día al dar vuelta a una avenida grande no calcule bien la velocidad del auto que venía y tuve que acelerar a fondo para evitar que me pegara por detrás nunca había forzado mi motor a fin de cuentas el conductor de atrás no se vio forzado a frenar pero después de unos 200 metros tuvimos que frenar por el cambio del semáforo fue muy abrupto el aceleré y en segundos el frenar al llegar al semáforo el motor tuvo una descompensación tembló mas notoriedad pero casi se estabilizó en segundo yo creo que el regulador alguna parte interna se atora por eso estoy animado a cambiarlo he visto que este es un problema muy común en este tipo de motor en verdad da miedo de hacerlo y se valla a complicar y si después de esto queda igual pues que tragedia

    I’d like to know what on earth the Ford Engineer/team that designed to place this sensor under the intake manifold was thinking of when this was designed. Truly terrible engineering.

    You dont have to take the egr valve off the intake. You can unhook it and pull it out when you pull the intake out

    • @sucforlife126
      @sucforlife126 3 месяца назад

      Still mounted to the intake. Once the intake is completely out if you need to take the erg off it's a lot easier. Getting it out of the way does make it where you can easily get to the intake bolts, but you can still get to them without pulling it off
