New Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ic/1AFIN00028
The fuel tank pressure sensor feeds data about pressure inside the fuel tank to the EVAP system to determine if there are evaporative leaks in the system. A bad sensor will most likely trigger a check engine light for the EVAP system. This video shows you how to install a new fuel tank pressure sensor in your 2006-10 Ford Explorer.

I've never had automotive repair experience like this before, and even though it took me 4 1/2 hours to complete, this was a well put together guide. Thanks for the help y'all
I just did this on my 2010 XLT. Your video was thorough and awesome. Took me 6 hours but I also replaced the intake gaskets, cleaned the throttle body and replaced the fuel filter.
Wow man you could have not explained this any better than the way you did. I greatly appreciate this video. Thanks again!

Great video, exactly what I was looking for. RUclips Algo's don't seem to pick it up well, but found it when looking through your Explorer 2006-2010 Playlist. Thanks for putting this together - I love ya'lls videos. Heading to 1A now for the parts.
What made you replace the fuel pressure sensor? My truck runs fine for a second then it starts to feel like it’s drowning and smells like gas
Thank you for putting this together. Very helpful and concise👍🏼
I am so glad I saw your video and stuck around and watched until the end. I can be really impatient and was ready to go ahead and tackle the problem. With that said your video was very helpful well said and well done for me to comprehend. Thank you
Wow man that was a very in depth tutorial thank you so much. I was able to replace the sensor and put everything back together from your video. Those 10ml bolts were a trick tho, probably took the longest, mine were rusted on. I let Penetrate oil sit overnight and was only able to get them off with a air ratchet
Great video. I think I will be doing this on my 2007 mercury mountaineer. Thanks for sharing 👌
Thank you! I'm going to be starting this project this morning.
Very good video using it down here in Ozark AL
Very helpful you have saved me a lot of money
Hey I left the EGR connected, I took out the bolt on the passenger side, and left the other one in, I disconnected the intake from the engine disconnected the line on top of the cover, dus connected the two in the back with clamps, disconnected the one in the back wall with the tight space.
Then I lifted the valve cover and took the rail sensor out and replaced it, cut down the time a little.
What's the reason for removing the air filter housing, egr and throttle body? Those seem like completely unnecessary steps if all one needs to remove is the intake manifold to get to the sensor.
You did a great job on that video
Adding another comment. You can leave the EGR valve on the air intake manifold and there will be enough room to pull on the air intake with it on. You still have to disconnect the vacuum hose and electrical connector. That means it’s easier to take off and install with the manifold out of the car.
Very useful video. Thanxx!!
Good explication, thanks for you help
This is for 06-10 Explorers, but it's the first video I have found that comes close to my 2004 model. Most have the sensor at the end of the fuel rail and not under the intake. I had a few minor differences, but it has gotten my car fixed and hopefully I'll know in a few days if the light stays off.
I had the same issue for my 2005 Explorer, I think it's under the intake and not off to the side like a lot of other videos suggest.
Doind tomorrow, perfect video, thank you
Nice work brother ❤🇺🇸
Great video
Great job 👍
Good video!
Do you have to program the throttle body .. every time I take off the throttle from a g35 and camaro I have reprogram..
I can't believe how much you have to remove to get to that sensor
My Ford Explorer 2010 -4.0L has problem it used to show on tachometer displace that the FUEL WAS LOW . I drove to Gas Station to filled 10 GALLONS and the pump hose was released . That mean my gas tant was full . I start my car to work site , but the fuels level gauge it shown just a 1/4 tank .
-After 15 minutes drove the fuel gauge shown me it was full-. This situations used to happen almost a year, and check engine light have been on since that time . I ignored
PLEASE LET ME KNOW my fuel rail pressure sensor was failed or some thing else
شكراً جزيلاً
Do you have to release the pressure on the fuel system ?
In key moments there is the hose after egr. What hose is that, my buddy broke that hose n im tryi.g toxins out what part it is.
I need this done on my 2009 explorer...the part is only $80...I needed to know why Ford wants to charge me $1150.
Nice work .. but I wish that intake was cleaned and those rusty clamps changed before reinstalling
I have a 2005 V10 is the sensor in the same place
Is this a 8cyl or 6 cyl?
2007 ford sport track throttle body don't work on engine running; work normally, open and close normal with switch in on. engine off)!! help!!
I did mine myself but its doing what you said at the end of the video... it shakes like a mad man. Why? What did i do wrong?
My hyundai sonata 2013 no start no cranks.i replaced the starter and the problem continue.how i can verify if motor dead
Ugg, of course the torx is so rusty cant get them out, changed ERG and o2 sensor, check engine lite off now, but still low idle at rest and park, ugg. Cant get the fuel pressure regulator sensor changed because rusty torx bolts. Runs great while driving, response great and instant, but still chuggs while parked. Will check codes tomorrow .
Where is it for a v8?
Can this make your car shut off ?
9:09
If you have over 100,000 miles you should also install a new EGR valve
Egr does NOT have to come off. Its difficult
I’d like to know what on earth the Ford Engineer/team that designed to place this sensor under the intake manifold was thinking of when this was designed. Truly terrible engineering.
All of this work just to ultimately remove 2 bolts. Smh
Now my car wont start great😂
I call BS. Nobody can find a 10 mm socket. Nobody.
At time stamp 16:35, looks like the wires are all exposed!
You dont have to take the egr valve off the intake. You can unhook it and pull it out when you pull the intake out
Still mounted to the intake. Once the intake is completely out if you need to take the erg off it's a lot easier. Getting it out of the way does make it where you can easily get to the intake bolts, but you can still get to them without pulling it off
Wow man you could have not explained this any better than the way you did. I greatly appreciate this video. Thanks again!
