Finally, a video where I can watch a POV drive in a Tesla without someone going over the same exact specs the other million Tesla RUclipsrs have already talked about.
This is nuts. Feels like riding in the cockpit of a spaceship, in a weird Universe that has roads. If I ever get a Tesla I'll be a danger to society. Zero road discipline. This was so enjoyable. Thanks for uploading.
I cant decide if I'm ready to give up ICE yet. Deciding between this and a slightly used Jeep SRT. I wish Tesla put launch control and track mode in the Y.
I feel your pain, I was right there recently trying to decide if I should trade my 2017 Gt 350 with a great sound and stunning looks for a Tesla. Well, I took the plunge and traded it in for the 2021 Y performance. No regrets. It’s the fastest most quiet car I ever own compared to all the 8 stangs I have owned ( the mighty 04 cobra, 2012 Boss 302, and 03 Mach 1) just to name a few). I don’t even miss the sounds of my previous v8’s. Test drive one if you can, it made a believer out of me!
I'm going to be totally honest with you (and I'm NOT giving up ICE anytime soon, so take this with a grain LOL) the Tesla doesn't even need a launch control. Its acceleration is so stunningly ridiculous, its fine without it. Track mode would be nice, but since its crossover I understand why they'd forego it. I'd get the Jeep for now, because those type of vehicles will soon be just memories.
I'm working on a Mach 1 for my next vehicle. Budget will probably keep me at the GT premium though, which I'd be more than happy with! You've had quite the line-up!!
Hm, do you hear some high pitch noises while driving in cruise speeds? Not sure if I am getting tinnitus or not lol. At 2:34, some high pitch noises from the rear motor? Is that correct, or am I wrong? Thanks in advance!
@@DownshiftPass Yea, its pretty weird. I've had it in a Model 3 as well. Really strange! They also replaced Drive Unit, but with no luck. Still a "whirring/whine" noise in cruise speeds around 60-80 km/t. Like a thin whistle-noise from the rear end.
It's surprisingly more quiet than anticipated. The ride is a little on the stiff side with the large wheel/ tire combo this one has, but not teeth chattering so. Thanks for watching!!
Great question, the road noise is surprisingly pretty muted, even with these larger wheels! It does have a bit more rougher ride, but not unbearable at all.

So glad you found some value in it!! Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already!

So glad you enjoyed!! Thanks!
So peacefull
Extremely !!
Tried the 2023 with new suspension today...deliberately went over potholes...excellent...like driving on an air suspension.
I've heard the changes are pretty noticable!

Launch mode is necessary only to get the rpm's up. No need in an EV. Incidentally, I just ordered my performance y. :). November ETA
Sorry, whats an ICE? Lol
Performance is of little interest considering the staggered wheel sizes and the hubcaps that look cheap once curb rash sets in.
Tons of curb rash too

Not sure if maybe you're hearing the noises from when the car is under full throttle ? It does make a whirring noise then.
Scratch that, because you did say "cruise speeds". Not sure what it may be.
@@DownshiftPass no. Not when acceleration. In cruise speeds

Can't tell over the headphones, but how is the road noise and how about the ride quality? Do you feel it's rough or is it ok?

Is the model y performance loud inside with those big 21s?

Tesla Model Y Performance
That's the one!!
The repeating subscribe button in the Middleton of the screen was too annoying and I had to stop watching
Thanks for your feedback! I've heard that before and have worked on it in my later videos! Check them out as well!
