I appreciate these ASMR videos...no need for the canned background music or another review that touches on nothing that the million other Tesla YTers haven't already said.
Very nice quality video, Miles. I like how you showed a variety of perspectives while filming during this drive. May I ask how you were able to film the drive so well in dark conditions. Whenever I try and film a night drive somewhere, I get super bright flares from oncoming traffic and other light sources which are distracting.
From all I heard, these are supposed to ride hard and are really noisy. This video was the opposite and not at all what I expected! I was so surprised, wow. I expected it to ride and sound like a 63 corvette lol. Gee, I don't know what to think now lol. Thanks, this was the most eye opening and mind changing ride you've done. I've watched it like 3 times now. At 90mph was where the noise was high, but I won't be going 90mph to get milk and eggs any time soon :) Big thumbs up on a surprising video 👍👍👍
door panels, seats, dasshboatd, console and steering wheel are no man's land of design. This car is everything I don't want to feel in a car... it is like being alone in a dark lift. No light to bring some warm and life,nothing.. just a screen with google map and open office.
There's so many smaller things that just feel off -- small side mirrors, small central mirror, poor back visibility, creaking plastics inside, loud cabin at around 50mph, overall shape and design of car feels really bad. The tech is awesome but I would rather wait for other competitors like the 70k Lucid.
@@MilesPerHr in what way are those lackluster vehicles better? the model Y is the safest car in the road, and it has undeniably the best range and charging infrastructure of them all. the infotainment is also superior to any other car in the market, and the model Y performance is the fastest car in its class by far. it has more interior space, frunk space, and class exclusive available third row. it also has the tesla exclusive features such as built in sentry mode and dashcam, the HEPA air filter system, light dance, etc.
@@loganhelms5599 with the fact that those other cars are actually built with better quality than Teslas, which considering the pricetag is almost insulting. Tesla makes up their poor build quality with software gimmicks that are just designed to wow easily impressed people with really showy features that others vehicle have (sentry, dashcams, decent infotainment system) and while they have impressive 0-60 times, when put on a real track they still get beat by other cars on similar price range. Lincoln's self driving system is better and the only reason they have the rollover rating is because of the powertrain location, if you do an electric conversion and put the battery pack in a similar arrangement all cars are pretty much resistant to roll over on side impacts. The only sort of real advantage is range, but not by far and the average commute is not long enough to really make that much of a difference. Not even the infrastructure is a big of a deal because adapters for Tesla chargers are fairly common and cheap. The only reason to buy Tesla is because you want the brand name over having an EV, which is nothing wrong with that, but shilling for mediocre expensive "luxury" cars because you're doing a hard cope because of the fact that anyone can get better and cheaper it's laughable.
@@jgllanesv I don't know where you live, and I will start at I have been resisting buying a Tesla. I personally do not like Musk one bit. That being said I ended up ordering a Model Y. I have been trying to purchase a Kia ev6, Ionic 5, Vw ID4 etc and even looked at BMW i4. Here are the problems: 1. Every single one of them that was available was being marked up by their dealers anywhere from $6k to $20k, making them in most cases more expensive than a Tesla. 2. If I order through a dealer, they are on back order for 6 months or more, and there is no gurentee that when the car arrives, the price will not also be marked up by the dealer. I ended up placing an order for a Tesla early March, and even though the pices went up, my price is locked and Tesla will honor it. Tesla is just light years ahead in terms of shopping experience. 3. There are not many cars that have 7 seats in the same price range. In fact the Ev6 was far more cramped than the model Y. Yes the third row is small, but to family I can put my two children in the back and still have room for 4 more adults easily. 4. The tech is not just "flash". Autopilot, and the upcoming FSD are true game changers. I am the kind of guy that likes to keep a vehicle for 10 years and more, and if I can upgrade to a fully functioning FSD in the next 10 years that will be a game changer. No other automaker is anywhere near the same level in terms of self driving. To each his own, but the idea that any of the other competitors are "cheaper and better" is extremely subjective.
I don’t think you need to spend this much money on this car that is known for its bad quality. But it just applies to some vehicles, not all vehicles from tesla has bad quality. But if you want to spend it, it’s fine as long as it doesnt bother.

Have you actually ever driven one? They are very enjoyable to drive, lots of intuitive technologies built into the vehicle, electric prices don't fluctuate the way gas prices do, very low maintenance, extra features that you want extra can simply be purchased and downloaded. Teslas have many advantages and technological innovations that the other manufacturers lack.
Sound systems in Teslas are so underrated.
I agree ! I’m so shocked … it’s a hundred times better than a BMW Harmon Kardon system
Yup sound way batter even in the model y long range sound perfect
I bet it's not and rated like it should be. It probably does not compare to system found in real luxury cars... Even Acura ELS 3D system.

First time EVER hearing the sound system from the Tesla and it legit made me get goosebumps bro that sound system is legit stellar!!!✨✨✨

Seems a little odd to me that you have to re-engage the lane assist after making a lane change… or am I just seeing this wrong?

Tesla model y should have speed odometer or head up display
