Thanks so much!! That's a really great question! Both are really great options, but I think it would depend on the type of buyer. The Mach-E is more dynamically enjoyable but the EV6 is more all around enjoyable (features, tech, charging, while not being as engaging to drive). I agree overall the Ioniq is the best to look at though!

Honestly, speed wise its no comparison, the red hulk would pull away from this without breathing hard, but this is (don't tell anyone) so much more fun, and engaging to drive! Can't go wrong with the IS, that blue color looks so much better in person and I think the IS is the best looking car in it's class! Good luck on the search! Folks hang on to those!

Electric isn't practical for everyone though (location to chargers, the ability to charge conveniently, etc etc) and honestly, once you drive/own other electric cars that's NON Tesla, it'll ruin Teslas for you. It's so many better electric options now!

I think if done well it’s good in a car like this. It’s supposed to be a daily driver that’s also fun. But if u use fake engine noise u can turn it off and reduce noise overall. On a long road trip I think it’s a good idea. And hearing other vw products, they can do better. The s3 and mk7 gti sound good for fake sound.

@tysonchickennuggets I'll have to give them a listen. BMW ruined the S63 M6 for me with how they tried to make it sound like it wasnt a V8 so I haven't seen it employed well myself.

Especially this car! This car doesn’t need fake noises at all! I took my speaker box out of my forte gt and it sounds 10x better. You can hear the exhaust better, the intake, BOV, all of it. But yes, what a BEAUTIFUL car. This may be one of the best adult cars while being an enthusiast as well. I see car seats in these all the time

@@DownshiftPass It wasn't an OTA update. Had to schedule an appointment at the dealership, but it took less than an hour. The difference in the audio system was pretty dramatic though.

If you want the engagement of a good manual, better options exist (Type R). The MK8 manual is not great. This car was meant for the DSG. The manual in the GTI is probably a better match for that car. It's more about fun than speed

I own a 2024 golf R in lapiz blue. The greatest thing about it is it doesnt obnoxiously stand out or seek attention, in the comfort mode its quiet on the road but when you switch modes it really opens up. I have been driving for 16 years and i think even if i won the lottery tomorrow I would keep my golf for life as the all around daily driver. It does everything great without standing out. Then ide have a 911 gt3 manual for nice weather cruising in the back roads :)
