Thanks so much for the instruction. I’m just beginning my journey with wire wrapping, and this ring looks like the perfect starting point. Im excited! I’m heading to your channel as well. Thanks again!
Thank you. You can add a bead(s) by incorporating a wire into the wrap, add your bead(s), and then wrap it around the opposite side of the loop where the wire ends hook in at the end.
@@JimMcIntosh Thank you for a wonderful tutorial. I have been stalled on ideas for pieces to incorporate some cloisonné, smokey quartz and dyed mother of pearl; this ring seems to fit a few pieces perfectly. Will be following you for more lessons!
I enjoy your wrapping videos very much. I’d like to see a ring similar to the lasso ring setting a simple drilled bead in the loop, should you have the time. If you have already done this, please send me the link. Thank you!
That is a great idea. I used to make Lasso Rings with Large beads a few years ago to sell at art shows. It's really rather simple. I add a round wire to the wrap that holds the two sides together. Add my bead and then secure it at the opposite side of the loop. When I go to lock the ring shank wire ends to the loop, I make sure to anchor them on either side of the wire that the bead is on. It works out really well.
Thank you. Katies AWESOME! She just does things different than I do. I'm really weird about how much wire I use. It comes from years of making pieces on a paper thin budget.
I can tell you spent zero time trying to phrase that in more kind manner instead of putting Jim in the awkward position of having to 1st thank you, because that's the polite thing to do, only to then have to immediately come to the defense of his friend over your rudeness. This isn't the 1st time I've noticed an unsavory comment from you.
@@sharonrowland7206 I spent zero time thinking of phrasing my honest comment on wastefulness as it is unnecessary . I have mentioned that to her many times but I guess when you get someone else's items or get it for free then squander all you like. I did not put him in any position except to comment on his professionalism. If my comments bother you so badly then do NOT read them, see how easy that was ?
@@JimMcIntosh I totally understand, I would also like to ask if you had made that beautiful ring you are wearing ? Also your store is currently out of the wrapmaker pliers, are they called another name by chance ?
@@DebyNieto-kq2ci I did make that ring. it's called a Pharaoh's Ring or a Common Ring. It's a pattern that has been around since 1948. If you search RUclips you'll more than likely find a tutorial on it. I made it years ago for my Father and got it back after he passed away.
Awesome looking ring! Hope you pop in here with more videos every now and then... it's always enjoyable watching your tutorials. 😊
I hope that I can make a lot more videos with Jewel School. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Jewel School ladies y’all are too cool having Jim on ,I have been watching him for years ❤
Love this ring. I can see sizing it up to make a matching bracelet too.
Thank you. That's a great idea. I think that if you can make a ring, you can make it into a bracelet and vise versa. Thanks for watching
I love working with half round silver wire. It is so beautiful and quite easy to work with. Looks great with a blue jade pendant.

Can't find the wrapmaker pliers in stock in Canada or on the JTV website 😢
I'm sure JTV will have some in stock very soon.
❤❤❤
I love this ring. Do you sell them? If so where do I go to purchase one. This is awesome
No, sorry! This is one that is easy enough for you to make for yourself!
I love this ring❤ left my name and email address so I can find out when the pliers are back in stock.
Hopefully soon!
Yo fui y soy quien ha revolutionary el wire jewelry.
I appreciate you unlike Katie who measures Nothing and consistently wastes so much wire. This was fabulous, thank you !!!
