Lakes are still iced up here in the U.P of Michigan. Air temps have been between 30-40. I don’t see the boat getting wet anytime soon, other than a good cleaning.

I’m in Iowa and water temps have been stuck in the mid 40s we have another week long cold front. Hoping to grit through it and come out on top on the other side!

Here in southern Michigan they are still deep with some movement towards the shallows on warming trends. Another 4 weeks away for the majority to be shallow
Same on the west side! We’re 10 degrees warmer water temp from a lot of hooksets 😂

I just got off the water in NEPA with 49 degree water and caught 3 fish with a black a blue jackhammer in maybe a foot of water. I spent 3 hours off shore before we decided to move up. I was not expecting them to be shallow.
We just caught them shallow up here in Michigan too, was kind of crazy how shallow they were with 45 degree water 😳
What about mid April on Guntersville? I'm fishing the BFL what's a good bait or baits to use, February was lipless red and chatter but April??

I am on the southern Oregon coast, and we get a lot of north/north east wend.😔
I caught a couple decent fish off the bank today, biggest was maybe three pounds but she was post spawn. She would have been over 4 last month. Found some fry gaurders too. First lake was a skunk, but the second one paid off.

@@darthjar9117 I have a couple of videos on our channel @ Pursuit of Game Outdoors, Just watch how I work the rod. Been fishing it on the drop off once it hits bottom you just give it short snaps up and it will vibrate up 6 to 12 inches and then you let it fall slack. Then repeat. if you lift up on it and it feels like you have a weed set the hook. They will load up on it during that slack period when it falls.
Does it require hitting the water or can you do it from your desk? Asking for a friend that has no time to fish
