Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]." - Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

I just want to give a shoutout to everyone who is still following this channel. Believe me when I say I'm truly grateful to have such a supportive and loyal audience. In this video I wanted to give a few pointers for how to respond when "sh*t happens" in life. Depending on the person, this might not be the solution, but it's definitely a start that will take you to your destination. And always remember that you're never alone. We're all going through something. 🙏✊
Amen. God bless!
Yes. Thank You.
Thanks for the info.
Will you ever do a Ben 10 video on this channel?
Fear isn't real. It's just a product of our imagination. We're thinking about scenarios and we just end up scaring ourselves from opportunities.
Definitely one of my favorite episodes in the show.
"There are no generators! There is no Slade!"
"I KNOW WHAT I SAW!!"
Definitely a lot of psychological thriller/horror elements in that episode. Very few kids' shows manage to get away with that.
Made me go "oh sht. This is no joke"
The ending was fucked haha.
What Do you think was robin really gonna attack THE Team Of was it just Bluff
The way Cyborg spoke that line and the way Robin reacted sends chills down my spine still.
I love the detail in this episode where while going through Robin’s mind, Raven sees flashbacks of him seeing his parents fall at the circus and of him taking the Batman oath.
This show was amazing
I loved that little detail too
I rewatched it last night, I only caught on to the Flying Graysons caneo
One detail I noticed during a re-watch is the scene where Slade is hopping from platform to platform, the platforms don't move. They don't even budge. But the moment Robin gives chase they wobble and shake under his weight. A brilliant detail indicating it was all in Robin's mind
Also while it was raining, not one rain drop landed on Slade, but you can see every drop landing on Robin
Just rewatched a few days ago and it still hurts seeing Robin (the best Titan) continually beaten down to the point where he asks Slade for mercy. Robin is someone with no powers standing among superhumans yet he never gives up and has taken beating after beating throughout the show. Seeing him out of all Titans almost give up is horrible
This needs to be pinned or at least noticed
He asked him to stop because he realized he wasn’t able to stop him like he did any other time
Imagine being so traumatized after beating an enemy that you hurt yourself thinking it was him
The dust made him hear and feel slade
@@billyanderson8149It definitely was a chemically induced hallucination, perhaps a variant of scarecrow’s fear toxin, but I doubt it’s just a chemical that made Robin hallucinate Slade in particular. Slade was such an archenemy of Robin’s, that Slade probably knew that it’d best to release the toxin against Robin, because it’d most likely make Robin hallucinate a shadow of Slade.
@@maximumdon7637 slade is one crazy guy so I don’t doubt this is what’s happened
How do you hurt yourself like that? I've tried punching myself and believe me it's more awkward than painful.
@@kidprime6863 I’m don’t know what circumstances you were under yourself. But I figure that it’s more awkward for most people because your brain’s subconscious is compensating for self harm, by attempting to fight the conscious attempt to follow through with it. But without that subconscious compensation, (like where you truly believe someone else is hurting you), then you can follow through with the full punch.
At least that’s my hypothesis.
Again I don’t know your circumstances so I could be completely wrong.
I like how Slade’s eyes widen slightly when Robin says he’s not real before going back to normal. For a split second, he showed that he was shocked that his plan failed.
Just started watching Teen Titans last night, I was very young whenever I watched an x amount of episodes a long time ago. Even though I didn’t understand much back then it still was pretty cool to me. Robin’s been my favorite, the eye mask just looks really cool haha
I watched it when I was like 4 or five and I loved Robin aswell
Same but I won't watch it again I guess
Where can I currently watch it ?
@@17xStunna hbo max
@*Panda0x0Craze* yeah fr it’s almost like a new show again and it feels nice, a whole different experience. I fell off with watching it awhile back tho I remember, I was only watching it when I was pretty sick but stopped when I got better. W reminder to get back to the show but yeah.
PTSD is so much more horrifying than we imagine 😱 this episode sure as hell scared me straight and it wasnt even halloween based! Also nice touch with the kingdom hearts music 🎶 💕
Ikr!
Yah, it can be terrifying, like really terrifying ( i have ptsd )
@@wallystars5238
I can imagine Shadow having something similar happen to him but with Mephiles as the hallucination villain.
As someone who is on the spectrum and has PTSD as well, how can I say anything else but to sympathize.
As a kid, it was so painful seeing Robin turn on his friends because he was seeing things that weren't even there. As an adult, it was more painful seeing the other Titans witnessing him doing all that to himself, just only being able to watch because for them their was no enemy to fight despite how much they might've want one so they could do something. This episode could easily be used to explain mental illness to children, because I'm 100% sure families and people with loved ones out in the world are having to deal with watching someone destroy themselves because their loved ones are dealing with something they can't see or fight
During Robin's "fight" with the Slade hallucination in Slade's old lair, while trying to climb up on the broken catwalk, "Slade" taunts him by saying, "Your friends won't find the generators, and they can't see me. They can't see the truth, Robin, even when it's right in front of them." On some level, do you think this was Robin's subconscious trying to spell it out for him that he's hallucinating?
My favorite part of this episode looking back is when raven looks through robins eyes to see slade, raven makes it clear whether hes real or not he's real to robin and it's doing real damage
Ask anyone who is suffering depression what is bothering them or what used to if they got passed it and those things seem rather minor; a break up, a lost job, a change in the weather, but just because you think you would get through it easy dosnt mean thier pain isnt justified
Or just because it isn’t a big deal to you doesn’t mean it isn’t a big deal to them.
Pain exists in two form: Form 1- Exterior pain. The kind of pain that is unexpected and caused by things that are not in our control and it heals over time. This pain can be seen
Form 2-Interior pain. Pain within ourselves that is in our control. The kind of pain that is invisible and lasts for a long period of time.
I know that Slade is the definition of "an evil villain" but I don't think that the *real* Slade, would EVER be that brutal. I feel like the real Slade would have given Robin multiple chances to get up and fight. And would never have kicked him while he was down.. Because *I* personally feel that Slade has a very very small sliver of respect for Robin. So I think that Slade, the real Slade, might have indeed done several of those things in the fights with Robin in "Haunted", but the Slade that Robin was fighting in the episode, is just straight up *brutal*
I know it was a hallucination, and the gas let out of the mask screwed with Robin's mind, but I would be STUNNED if the real Slade ever did those things.
To go along with what you’re saying: It wasn’t the real Slade, it was a manifestation of how Robin perceives Slade, born from his mind and his paranoia. That is how Robin sees Slade: the ultimate evil, period.
Cartoons during the 90s and early 2000s are ahead of their time
Their story and plotlines are considered rare in this time
It's killing me that throughout this whole episode he didn't use the most famous quote attached to fear. "There's nothing to fear but fear itself" simple but powerful.
I never get tired of watching this episode. The action, the music, voice acting and story are all on point.
This is why I fucking LOVE this show. It tackles dark elements but always has light at the end of the tunnel and it handles it so well!
Fear isn't real. It's just a product of our imagination. We're thinking about scenarios and we just end up scaring ourselves from opportunities.
I mean it's objectively real and most likely saved the human race multiple times but if you're talking about fear itself being an abstract thing then yeah
Well it’s technically not real as a physical entity.
But it IS real as an instinct. If we had no fear, we’d be reckless.
Though I get where you’re coming from. But you should be careful about what you say all the same, as then people might get upset and interrogate you, asking: if “love” or “happiness” isn’t real? To which our answer is “no, but yes”. That it’s all just chemical’s in our brain to induce a state of contention so we don’t threaten our own lives with suicidal ideation.
This episode really shows how much Slade broke Robin both physically and mentally
I always loved this episode. I feel like as I get older I discover new things I couldn't see before in this show. Thanks for covering it!
Don't ever let fear control you, embrace who you are and be patient, the wait it worth it.
I felt this video in my soul! Firstly, haunted is one of Teen Titans' darkest and deepest episodes (and I remember when the promo for this episode came out, and even then I knew that stuff was about to get dark), and your talking about PTSD definitely hit me close to home. I'm autistic and I suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, bipolar, borderline personality disorder (BPD), tourette's, schizoid personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder, many of which were there but CPTSD and DID/OSDD I suffer from as a result of some traumatic and stressful situations in my life, and hearing you explain how one's mind can turn on itself definitely hit hard. And in retrospect, this episode definitely resonates differently and I empathize with Robin now.
Man's unlocked all the mental traumas holy shit
Sorry
But do u have really all of these ??
Haunted is definitely the darkest episode in Teen Titans which is probably why it’s such a fan favorite episode.
The fact that Robin of all people didn't believe beast boy when he said he saw terra is just fucked up, he doesn't understand and try to help him he told him that he's being crazy
Continuity error
@@kidprime6863or he may have been speaking from experience hence why he told beast boy sometimes you want to see something that isn't there. Later when the others are discussing if Terra truly has returned he said anything's possible and brings up a theory that maybe she freed herself showing he does think it's possible she returned.
I do want to say since I haven't seen it mentioned (though I could be wrong), that you are *not* weak or giving up by using or asking doctor's for medication for whatever mental or physical hurdle you may have. I personally struggled with both ADD and anxiety until weeks before I graduated all because I internalized and got in my head that "I'm just not trying hard enough. I *should* be able to handle this". It's 6 years later now and I'm still disappointed in myself because things going through school would have been so much easier, and I spent my life thinking I wasn't good enough, trying hard enough and was ultimately just stupid, but I am proud of myself for coming to the realization. It's never to late to get help, but it's always better sooner than later.
Your problems, no matter how big or small, are *real* problems because, as Raven said, "they're real yo you". Don't minimize what you're going through and ignore it, but if you feel it can consume you, please ask for help in any way you can. And if you feel you might been in a similar place as I was, and not to diagnose of course, though it's at least worth asking your doctor about it. You are not weak, you are not giving up, it is okay to need help, medicine or otherwise.
--------
None of this is to try and combat the video of course. I'm not religious or anything of the sort, but even when they don't apply to me, I do always love your videos. Even if they might not always be "for me" at the time, I know they are for a lot of other people, and I know they've genuinely helped others, the same way they do still sometimes help me. You do amazing work and you've left a genuinely positive impact on the world ❤
I know a lot of people don't like Robin from other shows/movies or games but you can't deny that Teen Titans Robin is probably one of if not the best version of him
Very true, I've never seen a tone slander this shows version of Robin
Im glad your back man, you were a huge reason why I started my channel & I’m grateful I can help people as well, we elevating together as a community
Funfact: Scarecrow did this to Robin with Slade Mask.
Was that actually confirmed
this episode was pretty damn dark
slade walking up for the kill, and robin asking for mercy
Seeing how we see dead slade help robin later in the show I think it was actually the ghost of slade messing with him
Fear is a tool....when that light hits the skyline....it's not just a call....but a warning.
Deathstroke is portrayed in the show as not a deadly assassin/mercenary but rather an ultimate antagonist who goes by his given name slade
Actually it’s still deathstroke Curtis slade but Cartoon Network couldn’t use the name DEATHstroke because it was a kids show and network
Hot take, honestly slade is a cooler name than deathstroke. Slade sounds badass with a bit of edginess while deathstroke sounds blatantly edgy and almost generic
Robin was so cool in this show
True definition of cool for sure
Yes. But in Teen Titans Go, they ruined him
@@avrinrose5457 Haven't seen it
@@TheIgisas NEVER SEE IT

This video did waaaaay more than just understanding an episode of my favorite childhood show, this showed me how to understand my fears and how only I can control/defeat them.
Deathstroke: Crane, give me something strong. You too Tahcht.
Scarecrow and Mad Hatter: Say no more.
The theme of patience in life is introduced via Slade, as he often criticises Robin for his lack of patience.
i was diagnosed with ptsd about 2 years ago now. all i can say is, it sucks, and it's really scary sometimes. i hate remembering the bad things that happened to me in the past, and i'm afraid of talking to a certain family member about it because i'm afraid they'll hurt me even worse then they did before. this is one of my favorite episodes of teen titans because i can relate to it, and kind of see myself in the characters. keep up the great work made2, you're awesome 💗
8:39
That's so true. When in a bad mood, I ask someone "how's your day goin so far" and the dark mood just vanishes while interacting with them and my day gradually gets better.
This episode is and was the best episode when we were kids, and I think the reason why was because the writing didn't treat us like children. It had realistic dialogue with realistic reactions to situations. I wish the whole show treated us the same way, some episodes do and they are still our favorites because of it.
This episode used to scare me as a kid but now it's one of my favorite episodes
Teen Titans did had it's share of several different dark episodes during its tenure, but out of all of them, this episode takes the cake, cause literally Robin was almost on the verge of dying from the self injuries he's been getting while trying to fight "Slade" and becoming schizophrenic much to the concern of his teammates for the majority of the episode, especially when Robin thought that Slade put Generators that were about to destroy the bridge to which Cyborg said _"There is no generators. There is no Slade."_
But one thing that somewhat bothered me when watching this episode (especially watching it for the first time) is if this Slade is a ghost or was it just a hallucination that Robin is imagining and Robin is the one making those injuries to himself?
Self-harm
Damn
Remember the probes?
It wouldn't shock me if the stuff that Robin got gassed with made all those injuries appear as he got 'hit'.
@@LordTyph Yeah, if I remember correctly, he infected himself while trying to destroy the machine controlling the ones in his friends' bodies. But shouldn't they have been deactivated and purged?
@@kidprime6863 Yeah, *those* probes, not whatever was in that dust.
@@LordTyph I think it could be both the probes AND the dust.
Your videos always seem to come at just the right time. Your breakdown of fear is helping me to better understand a gaslighter I'm dealing with.
I know this comment was a while ago, I just wanted to say that I hope you're free from that gaslighter now, and hope you're okay
Such a mature episode for a kids show. Why wasn’t this show rated TV-PG?
It's simple: There's no blood. That's the only reason why this show, as well as Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, was rated TV-Y7 FV. Same goes for Static Shock (though that was for a slightly younger audience).
In recent years however, Batman: TAS, TNBA, and Superman the Animated Series have all been re-rated TV-PG for its violence, which occasionally has blood, as well as realistic guns, on-screen deaths, and darker themes.
@@sonikku956 Teen Titans is rated TV-PG on HBO Max.
Because kids weren’t little wusses back then
@@dionruffin3996 they're still not, it's the companies that greenlight half assed shows that appeal to the lowest common denominator of a child's psyche and shove crap down their mouths.
@@dionruffin3996 dude you can't blame kids for the age ratings. It's the parents who freak out abt the smallest things
I remember when i first watched this ep, i was prolly like 8 or 10 I dunno, back then I didnt rly understand this episode but now it hits hard lmao, sometimes trauma tends to take even a physical form lmao
This was one of the first episodes I've seen from Teen Titans. The more times I see it, the better it gets
Come to think of it, Robin used to fight with Batman. That emphasizes that he experience something what Batman did in his life of crime fighting. Compare to other robins, he is consistent of being Batman, that's why he's called Batman's success
Man that was dark I knew Robin was obsessed with this slade, but man that on top of how he was haunted by the memories of Slade plus that talks equal to craziness, making him be angry, aggressive and crazy. It was acting weird threatening his friends, refusing to just stop and listen to common sense when his friends were trying to talk sense into him I get it when you get, a nemesis you want to take them down, but he was going nuts
And that was very creepy of him to say I am the thing that keeps you up at night the evil that haunts every dark corner of your mind I shall never rest and neither shall you man. Those words, or what really made a dark episode. That just is creepy.
Fear can help you feel alive . Understand what's important fear it self is a high Wave length fast pulsing emotion
I've been subbed for about 2 years now I think..but no other one of your videos has EVER hit me like this one did. Thank Yhu Bro.
I love you soo much man💛.
I have to admit,at first I thought that you were gonna say that our greatest enemy was ourselves, because we're giving in to what our fears have to say,and by believing it,we're unintentionally complicating things for ourselves.
Thank you for this. I just went through a depressive episode that gave me some thoughts that required me to ask for help. Right now, I am just dealing with the guilt and shame with the worry I put my close friends through. I feel like I am a bad and shameful person for making them worry that much that they got so stressed and worried about me. And I know those are just my thoughts lying. All I can do now is accept what happened and like you said. To trust God or the Universe. That somehow an answer will come to me in due time. For now, I am going to spend some time alone but not with the intention of isolation. I think I just need some time with the Universe just to feel and be.
I want to become stronger so I can live a happy life and serve my close friends and family properly.
You know I had NO idea this video would go this deep but I’m glad it did. God bless my freind
Robin: The narrator.
Slade: Tyler Durden.
Is even more disturbing when you figures he was hitting himself.
Thank You for the video.
I am also one of those that suffer from basic mental health problems like bad imaginations that give me fear and anxiety + no one believes me. They only tell me it's all in your head, you'll forget about it.
I believe in your statement, that there is always a way to overcome it, I am slowly getting there, in due time.
Thanks again Made2Express
Truly great video! I've been going through some busy & stressful weeks lately myself & have felt the repercussions of the Stress on my physical health as well. I can definitely relate, & seeing Robin all strapped in that bed was very relatable. Thanks for making this video 🙏🙏
I was looking for a video about this episode and explanation but I got a life lesson. I understand, you’re message and its good to have this kind of mind set in the back of my head. Great video!
I’ve been a fan since 2003 of the series this episode is one of the best episodes to ever come out of any DC show I’ve seen
I think they're trying to say that if have things in your head that are making your life miserable, shine light on them, paying attention to these problem solves more than half of it. and sometimes they're imaginary, even so if you pay attention and don't ignore or hide it you'll figure it out
If you fear fear it self doesn't that mean you fear the things your afraid of more . Not because their a danger but because they'll trigger feeling. .
.
Dude, you have done it again! I'm currently trying to find my way out of my very own darkness, and to say I've been struggling is an understatement. This video just showed me how I can shut down my inner demons the minute they come. This, dude, is one of your best videos yet!
Robin:I Know What I Saw! I Have To Stop Him I’m The Only One Who Can And I’ll Take Down Anyone Who Gets In My Way
@Made2Express
There’s also one thing you shouldn’t have been ignorant of, but decided to ignore anyway for some reason, but in this scenario, yes it was probably fuelled by PTSD, but Robin is revealed to have had a chemical hallucinogen in his body from some dust from Slade’s mask that he breathed in, which chemically induced the hallucinations. Yes it takes the form of Robin’s greatest enemy, but this sort of PTSD usually never happens to Robin or Batman without some external factor, like scarecrow’s fear toxin.
Though I agree that the episode is a good talking point of PTSD and what it can do to the mind.
When I finally watched Teen Titans this episode was the one that really kept me on the edge of my seat. If I would've watched this when I was younger, I may not have been able to sleep.
I am a little disappointed that they did the whole "you've been gassed" thing at the end. But it's in the past.
may sound corny, but i actually learned how to analyze media because of you

I love the Mass Effect music playing in the background. Top the fps rpg games ever
7:29 I think people who have unresolved trauma that they’re legitimately trying to heal should be the last people you should be saying are acting like victims. The encouragement is there but it’s worded poorly. Some people find it difficult to try to get to the good side and be better.
Enjoy Teen Titans good version. It’s extremely kinda hilarious and emotional but dealing with difficult topic.

The title of the video says it all. Slade was just an inner demon in Robins mind this time. That's why he couldn't see him. Robin was just stressing himself out all for nothing.

. Korra;
. Steven Universe;
. Jinx and Vi;
. Anne, Sasha and Marcy;
. Bojack Horseman;
. Anna and Elsa;
. Zuko;
Add more if you want it
I'd also add Aang in there with Zuko, his whole tribe was murdered and he has to carry the weight of being the avatar in a world that he doesn't fully know
Ash Ketchum, he was probably traumatized because he is fatherless
Every main character in Code: Lyoko and, for bonus points, their Gym Teacher Jim
