Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

A simple "thank you" can go a surprisingly long way, especially if said to a retail worker.
Or a bus driver
like actually tho yea
thank you
THANK YOU
Well thank you!😋
As someone who was homeless during high school, this is very true. I get upset with my current job, kind of like Squidward does. However, I remind myself that it can always be worse. I am grateful for what I have. I may not be rich or famous but I am still grateful for what I have.
Cheers to you buddy.😃👍
Went through the same thing, going through your same current situation as well. Keep grinding, god bless you!
@@geonite2072 Thank you.
@@chickensofried Thank you.
Ngl you are kind of famous
I do want to add though, that there is also something like ‘toxic positivity’. It’s okay to feel sad sometimes, or bitter, or feel like the world cheated you out of something that you deserved. If someone mistreated you, it’s okay to feel bad for a while. You don’t have to be like: okay, this happened, but at least i have food! It’s okay to mourn. What happens isn’t always your fault, but it’s YOUR responsibility to do something about it, make it better. Otherwise, you’ll end up with nothing.
Yes i hate that toxic positivity mindset where you always have to be smiling and happy eventhough something bad has happened
@@coffintears5821 me too. Or when you state a concern and people are just like: you have to stay positive! Yeahhh sometimes you’re just anxious, sorry
In this video he does explain that having an ungrateful or bad mood is okay. It's when it becomes chronic. I know what you mean though. I think that in order to be truly positive, you have to deal with your emotions and negative parts of you and accept them. You can't just shove them behind a curtain and expect them to go away.
@@Fairygoblet yeah, I think so too. When you try to ignore them, they'll come out one way or another. Well said.
@@LOVEAapjes Made2Express recently made a video on Toxic Positivity!

"Most of us lock this love away to protect ourselves from pain".
This quote hit different, I never related more to something.
My parents divorced when I was pretty young, I got bullied in school and I lived with my alcoholic mother, who told me really horrible storys about her abusive father, when she drank.
This made me a cold kid and it carried over into my early teens, I did not let anybody get close, just accepted my fate, I did not let anything effect me in the slightest good or bad. I just pretended to feel nothing and I worked so well that I eventually felt nothing at all, I was just numb.
The first time all of this came crashing down was when my grandpa died, he meant more to me than anyone else, he teached me more than my parents ever did and his dead nearly crushed me, his funeral was the first time I cried in years and I felt depressed months after. All the feelings I suppresed for so long just broke free, all my anger, all my hatred and all my sadness.
My way to deal with this wasn't to accept my feelings but to suppress them even further, I felt weak and vulnerable and never wanted to feel this way ever again.
But it didn't hold up for long, it crashed down again but in a good way, I fell in love.
My emotions were free once again, I felt like the world is just rainbow and sunshine.
Shortly after the bad emotions catched up, anger and fear of loosing my new found happiness
ironically destroyed our relationship and I was once again out in the open.
I couldn't suppress my feelings anymore but not just about the break up but about every part of my life, I felt sad about my mom beeing and alcoholic and now living with my manipulative stepdad, I felt frustrated about school and I felt bad for not carring enough about my friends and family.
When I wasn't busy all those feelings struck and I just cried or worse.
But after I pulled through I was happier than ever before, I started to be thankful about a lot, even about simple things like beeing alive, I started to make my life better, as well. I started working out, tried to help my mom with her addiction and so spend more time with my friends.
I won't lie, there are still times, when my emotions just overwhelm me but it gets better.
What I want to say with all of this is, don't try lock your emotions away, it won't protect you, it might seem this way at first but it will make matters worse.
We have feelings for a reason and we need to deal with them, it is even better to embrace them, laugh, cry, punch your pillow if you have to, but don't lock your feelings away, you will just lock away your true self.
I didn't want to whine about my life or something I just wanted to use it as an example how suppressing your feelings can lead to bad things.
However, thanks for reading and I wish you a beautiful day.
I’m happy you healed .. you deserve all the happiness and peace in the world
Thank you for sharing this story, I’m proud of you for the work you put into making your life better. Sending love your way ❤️❤️😁
Thanks for the kind words :)
I'm actually feeling really sad and angry on myself... I felt your words so much. I have bad parents too and I think that's where everything started. A lot of bad friends back then and now I only have a one friend.
I hope to work on myself. I hope to get better too. I crave for change and happiness. I believe I deserved to be in that spotlight too. Thank you for sharing your words. I hope you are doing well.
Dats good an all, but who asked
"You the are good"
- Me
No need to thank me!
Thank you
Thankyou bud
Squidward isn’t a character people TRY to be, rather one people can relate to.
Idk if you've done this already but a video about Sandy Cheeks and when she wanted to go back home to Texas would be very cute for those who come from "non traditional" homes
Home is where the heart is.❤
„I am grateful for the life I'm having. Who knows how long I'll have it?" I got goosebumps and will never forget this quote.
If I had to pick something I'm grateful for, it would be all the wonderful people I've had met over the years in my life. Seriously, my family, many teachers and friends - THESE are the BEST people in my life, I cherish them and I'll always hold them dear in my heart - through thick & thin.
Damn never thought id be jealous of a furry
Good for you not everyone has that
@@coffintears5821
Yea, including me :(
I’m grateful for my friends. They have helped me through thick and thin, and they have taught me to keep my head held high to help others. I love my family as well. They’ve taught me to appreciate everything like no teacher could. I like to give hugs and say every little phrase of gratitude a lot.
A lot of us forget what we have in our lives until it’s gone. Always be grateful
Absolutely. Especially in times like these.
This may be a simple message, but thank you for this video.

Or in your case Squidward, an attitude of hat-itude.🤠 Daiaiaiaiaiaiaiai!
Oh I REALLY like the message of this video. I think it's important to distinguish WHEN to think "some people have it worse" though. I have seen people weaponize that thinking to invalidate the differently-abled.
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

Great quote ^_^
I am grateful to have discovered this channel, keep up the amazing work
That quote from Jake The Dog at 6:43 reminds me of this quote from Demon Slayer:
"Growing old and dying is what gives meaning and beauty to the fleeting span of a human life. It's precisely because we age and die that our lives have value and nobility. Strength is not a word that means much in regard to the flesh."
~ Kyojuro Rengoku
this channel actually gives good advice and is way better than saying "at least your not dead" because at that point I'd rather be dead than live in torture. and this is a very rare thing from me to say because I don't usually have emotions or doesn't care about emotions.
As ninja once said "stop negging, don't be a negger" that last word sounds pretty bad but I know what he meant

As a graduating student I’ve looked back and seen how much support I have from people around me and this videos really hits home because I was able to thank all those that have helped me along the way. I know I’m just a random viewer but I truly appreciate the videos you make and I can’t wait for the next one. With all things you do, Godspeed
It definitely was a terrific vid. And I've been a longtime spongebob fan. I agree in the sense that any kind of support we all can receive definitely matters - no matter if it's our friends, family, peers, whatever the case may be. Any sort of support is better than no support at all.
Gratitude definitely helped my depression to a point where I now feel more free and happy than ever before. I try to practice gratitude every day and little by little my life became something im deeply grateful for.
Well said. I try do do the same. And we are all infinite beings in physical bodies.
Life is kinda pointless without a little bit of pain and suffering. You can always have too much of a good thing and sometimes we need to face our circumstances handle with the cards were dealt with to reach tranquility and satisfaction. Life is not easy but it doesn't have to be hard either you only make it hard by complaining and focusing on the bad parts of it.
As someone who went through living hell, I am very grateful to have the life that I have now. My therapist always said “to always find something to be grateful for every day.”
Yep and I've been in therapy too and have been told much of the same thing. Plus, I think adversity definitely can make anyone a stronger being.
This is actually something I try to remember when I'm feeling low. As much as I might feel pissed off and unfulfilled sometimes I have a steady job, a stable home, I'm no longer scrambling for pennies or wondering where my next meal will come from or having to conserve every second of electricity on the meter as I sit freezing because it's the middle of winter and the gas hasn't been on for two weeks etcetera.
"you are currently living someone else's dream life"✨ dang.
My life's not perfect. As a kid, I dreamed of living in a big house and being the most successful person in the world. But as I grew up, I realized that not all of that matters. I have a family that loves and supports me, I have a job, I graduated from college, and most importantly, I have God.
It might have actually made Squidward's day if someone had said to him "Look, I know it sucks being in this line of work, but I see you and I appreciate you."
I've tried to keep that sense of gratitude ever since my parents instilled the idea of "count your blessings" and often simply counting the number of things I am grateful for has helped my suicide ideation and depression lessen tremendously.
dang, people haven't even watched the whole vid yet and i cant think of sokething to say.
Perhaps gratitude can boost your creativity.😉👍
I'm sorry, but I can never finish these videos in one sitting. You always make me tear up with your words, tone, voice, and meaning behind your words. All I can say is Thank You.
"Okay... Thanks."
*"Why the hell do you keep saying that?"*

You've always improved my days when you post. Thank you for the positivity! I've liked most of your videos.
I’m grateful to have found this channel. Great video as always.
I think Squidward showed his true colors the first time when he and sponge were delivering a pizza.
SpongeBob coming back crying from the customer and Squidward, being a total Boss for once, shoved the pizza in the guy’s face.
Not for his own gratification, cuz he could care less about the pizza or the customer at the time, but for Spongebob.
Early season of spongebob is the real spongebob
Another episode I think handles a similar topic that is just as important is the S3 episode "The Algae's Always Greener" where Plankton is envious of Mr. Krabs' accomplishments and wants to live his life instead of his own.
He proceeds to switch lives with him and is happy for a while, but quickly realizes that Mr. Krabs' life isn't all he thought it was. Sure, he may be successful, but that comes with a lot of responsibility. He has employees and a family that depend on him, and Plankton soon begins to regret wishing for this life. It ends up being "just not worth it" to him, and he decides to go back to living his own life and realizing just how much better his normal life is, even if it's not as 'glamorous' as his arch nemesis'.
I always liked this episode; it's easy to wish you had something "better" or see other people who are more successful than you and want that for yourself. But realizing to be happy with what you have and the cards you have been dealt is an important lesson to be learned :)
Great video dude, this one really spoke to me and we should all aspire to be more grateful for what we have ❤️
Basically on this channel, primarily SpongeBob is one very deep show, and make this channel even more awesome.
Also I hope y'all are having a great day.
You should do a video on the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode “Party all the Time”
The part where you talk about being without struggling raising the question of what's the point of living made me think of Saitama from One Punch Man. He became so strong that no one could beat him and because of this he suffers from what seems to be depression as he states that his emotions grow distant as he becomes emotionally numb from having no challenges and feels like he lost something important to being human. I just think that Saitama serves as a great example for the point u were making and could be a good future topic for one of your videos.
I think i speak for everyone when i say I’m super *grateful* for your content ❤️💯
I am so glad I found this youtube channel. I love the different videos regarding philosophy and especially stoicism. Before this video, I watched the one about ferb and how his actions are basically what stoics use. I've been reading and learning about this certain practice. Just subscribed❤️

I'm grateful for this channel, it puts a lot of things into perspective for me
exactly
it's a good trick to keep the psychological balance. I like that you mention that people say and act differently. Just remember, that what someone thinks, says and acts are 3 separate things.
Having an “attitude of gratitude” can take you a long way.
i recently started binging your videos and currently i’m not really feeling myself but the lessons in your videos have taught me so much and i am so grateful for how much effort and care you’ve put into them

Bro this is some eye opening shit right here. Thanks man for making this video, you don’t know how much I needed to hear that stuff
I remember watching this episode on TV, and the song in the beginning really connected with me. I'm dealing with a bit of stuff where, due to past experiences, I have an irrational fear of loosing the time I have to actually enjoy life, but it does help to remember to be grateful for the time I do have, even if it feels short.
(Honestly, the hardest part is fighting myself about changing in the first place.)

Excellent video Made2! Also, something that popped up in my mind during the video was Paul in the Bible when he was imprisoned. Even though he didn't live the perfect life, he had gratitude and thanked and worshipped God for his love.
Everytime you upload it makes me so much happier you don’t know how much your videos affect people thank you
Hi Made2Express thanks for the amazing content you put out, they've benefited me in numerous ways. You accomplished your goal of helping just one person out in the world. I hope anyone reading this has a great rest of their day, and that the times will get better soon, especially if you're in a hard moment in your life. One mantra that I repeat to myself often is that I simply cannot stop breathing in life until I get to know how the story ends. This has helped me to finish my junior year of high school recently which had a lot more hard times than I expected, but the feeling of being grateful for getting through it has almost alleviated all of the hardships I went through this year. Best of luck to everyone out there in the world! And remember that having rewards makes the journey easier to handle, and it won't suddenly ruin all that you've worked for. (In proper moderation, of course.)
Wow. This is definitely an amazing sentiment. And I agree that Made2express' content is awesome, especially regarding real life lessons of spongebob (easily the most iconic show there is). And it is great to know that there are others who can offer wisdom and value especially in difficult and challenging times. Blessings and large props to you ^_^

In spirit of this video, I'm grateful for this channel. Your videos bring so much meaning and depth, and are enjoyable to watch. Your use of shows and movies as examples to support your point makes the content more relatable, understandable, and especially captivating. Watching your videos, I can always expect a good experience (from entertainment standpoint) and a good lesson or (topic/idea) to think about afterwards. Keep up the good work - I can only see greatness from here :)
I just discovered this channel and I am already feeling wiser!
9:35 springboarding off that real quick, as we love our lives the way they are, theres also always potential to improve things. If there's something in your life, be it an addiction, a lack of motivation, or something dragging you down, that is something to work on, work to make things better. Because while its nice to be complacent in your life, that wont always happen, so I say, if you love your life the way it is, find small ways you can do things to take further control of it, keep that love of life going. Because love doesnt mean to be complacent, keep things the same, sometimes change comes with and from love.
You’re videos never fail to put me in a good mood😂
Now I understand why I never liked Squidward as a child. He's so bitter and pessimistic. And Mr. Krabs has a limiting belief of money and he is scared of losing his money. Even though SpongeBob is annoying and Patrick is a ditz, I love how optimistic he is. BTW, I love how authentic your channel is.
Brother your videos amongst the few sparks of positivity amongst the sea of negativity that is the internet. Keep making these videos !!!
We appreciate your attitude of gratitude!
Let's be real for a second: When people bitch to you about gratitude, they're only trying to guilt-trip you into not complaining about shit, even when said shit should really be complained about.
