Thanks to this brother who tried to describe Adventists fairly from his point of view. I am Adventist pastor in Austria. Thirty years ago, I finished my studies in theology at an Adventist seminary in Austria - Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen. We have learned that only through the imputed righteousness of Jesus can we be saved. I've always taught that the same way for the last 30 years. We can never keep the law perfect. The love of Christ leads me to keep His commandments, but that does not save me. It is the result of my Salvation and never the cause. Evangelical Christians keep the commandments of Jesus. Not because they are saved by obedience, but because they have accepted the Salvation and follow Christ. Similarly, from the perspective of Adventists, the Sabbath is a commandment that is binding on them because it was used in creation and therefore does not apply only to a particular people. Second, because the Sabbath is part of the Ten Commandments. and third, because the Sabbath was not revoked in the New Testament. This is the knowledge of the Adventists. So if a Baptist says we do not baptize babies, but adults only, then that's not legally, it's the Biblical knowledge. Not in order to earn salvation, but as an expression of his discipleship and confession to the Redeemer. There are legal Adventists, just as there are legal evangelicals, but this is not only the question of dogmatics, but also a personal aberration. (Sorry for my english)

Do you believe the Seventh Day Adventist investigative judgment doctrine?
If you believe this you are believing a false Gospel. (Contradict Jesus' word)
Jesus states in (John 5:24) that a believer is saved the moment they trust in Jesus as their Savior, believing the Gospel of Christ and that salvation (everlasting life) cannot be lost (shall not come into condemnation). The Seventh Day Adventist investigative judgment doctrine Contradicts Jesus' word.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Yes, the seventh day was a day of rest for creation. No, it's not universal. Go back and study. The only command to keep the sabbath was directed to Israel. Never before, and never after.
If Noah, Abraham, or any of those before the Law kept it you might have a point. Then when Jesus violated it....argument lost.

Evangelical Christians are supposed to keep the Commandments of Jesus Christ... which, are not the same as God's Commandments given to Moses.. nor are they Jewish Law. SDA's are still under Jewish Law because they're all about the Sabbath and Jewish dietary Laws. The line has been drawn in the sand. Either stay under the curse of the Jewish Law or under the Grace of Christ. Cannot do both.
      Galatians 2:19-21
19 *For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.*
20 *I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.*
21 *I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.*

Just as it was stated in another of his videos, anytime you encounter a church doctrine that puts someone in a position between you and God, whether it's the pope, or another human spiritual leader, or a person who authors church doctrine for you to pay homage to, etc....take heed. Be careful. Matthew 28 says all authority has been given to Jesus Christ, so it is to Him alone that we confess, to Him alone that we place our trust, to Him alone that we submit our prayer for forgiveness, and by His grace alone that we can even receive forgiveness. Salvation is not about checking boxes on a list. It comes through faith and Grace.

Good answers. I used to be a SDA, left it after 11years, so I know the facts well. His answers are spot on, fair, kind, considerate.
I would suggest that this blind adherence to EGW as their idol in a way, is a serious matter. Although a brilliant author, she has some serious red flags on many matters from Bible, health, dress, food, theology, predictions, plagiarism and 2000 visions. Since the people turn a blind eye to this and follow her to the letter, that is cult like.
The people are fine good folk as stated, but lack the power of the holy spirit. they are religious, not spiritual.

Yes SDA are a cult and they teach many things that are not in the Bible. I was an SDA for 10 years I studied all the doctrines, read all Ellen White books and the major pioneers books such as Joseph Bates, James White and Hiron Edson and I can tell you that they held Arianism for a loong time like the Jeovah Witnesses they just changed their belief on the Holy Spirit in the mid of the 20th century because they didnt want to be called a cult anymore. I don't find coincidence that Joseph Smith died in 1844 and Ellen White had her first "vision" in 1844 moreover Joseph Smith and Ellen White had family connections. Jeovah Witnesses , Mormons and Adventists are both from the same era they both have their "prophets"

Incorrect, SDA’s don’t believe that you are baptised into the church but in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19) according to the instruction of Jesus. If you would like to become a member of the church then you obviously accept the biblical teachings which are the SDA’s pillars of faith

Annette Macintosh not entirely true ! I’ve been attending sda church for past while and want to be baptized but it doesn’t seem to be straight forward in an sda church . Yes they agree with baptism being in Christ and the Holy Spirit but you also have to agree to their 28 fundamental beliefs and become a member of them with the label of being a sda member . They do teach the Bible but unfortunately their teachings are based a lot on the books of Ellen white like the seal of god and the mark of the beast being Rome and Sunday keeping. Looking like for me I won’t be getting baptized now because of their rules .

Actually we believe our sins were cast on Jesus when he was on the cross. Those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will have their sins cast onto Satan at the End of Time. As for the Sabbath being the Seal of God, its true that many elderly still believe that it is symbolic of a future event in which all will be forced to worship on Sunday (The Mark of the Beast), and those who reject that order and keep the Sabbath will receive the Seal of God. But some younger Adventist, including me, are starting to reject that belief and believe it to be more than the Sabbath.

God has rescued me from SDA Church and He showed me darkness in the books of the founder Ellen Gould White. The people there are going under the law, she teaches that archangel Michael was Jesus Christ, that Sunday Law is the mark of the beast, that keeping the Sabbath day is the seal of God, and in year 1844 God started investigate Judgement.
Today I'm free from many years and I witness for Jesus Christ, He appeared to me in a dream.
God has given me freedom from false doctrines.
The mark of the beast is RFID chip.
The seal of God is Holy Spirit received when hearing and believing in the true Gospel of Salvation.
There is no Investigate Judgement, Jesus died once and it is finished, He went straight to the Holy of Hollies and sitted on the right hand of God.
Archangel Michael is an angel formed by God, Jesus Christ was before He came on earth in the form of God.
We are new creatures in Christ Jesus going after the Holy Spirit, not after the law but after the Spirit of God.
Every Church that says 'We are the remnant', 'We are the only ones" etc.... has rejected the True Gospel, and usurps the position which was not given in the Bible to no one.

He raised up His church after the great disappointment spoken of in (Revelation 10) and you despise His Prophets and turn your back on Him.
Jesus is the One who taught that the books will be opened and the people’s deeds will be investigated, is this not for our inspection when as Paul said, the righteous will judge angels and the world? Yes it is.
EGW is not the founder of the SDA church, she is a co-founder together with Joseph Bates a sea captain, James White and a number of others who answered the call of God
EGH had her first vision when she was but a teenager of 17 years of age. Joel 2:28,29 predicted that God would pour out His Spirit on ALL people...specifying your young girls will prophesy... stop being jealous of God’s choice of messenger. She was not the first to be hailed of God for the man He called first was Hazel Foss who declined to be God’s messenger.
Hiram Edson received the vision from God providing the details of the event which took place in 1844 namely that Jesus had begun the investigative judgement in the heavenly sanctuary.

@@annettemacintosh117 Well if God poured His Spirit on ALL flesh, then how come the SDA church claims to be the only ones who caught it? What you're saying is that 500 years of protestant learning and understanding is wiped out by one alleged vision to a 17 year old girl? This looks like flight's of fancy to me. Peter says in his letter that no prophecy is of private interpretation and that means that it must be publically scrutinised to see if it lines up with the whole counsel of God within the scriptures. Evidently that didn't happen and when EGW took over the SDA Church, she introduced dietary laws and Sabbath keeping as distinctives, to separate her people out of the the mainstream evangelical church. That sounds like a cult to me!

You are free to "stand on the 10 commandments" and realize you stand on the "ministry of death" (II Cor 3:7) and you can live under this law, but also realize you choose to be cursed for doing so (Gal. 3:10-11)
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Cor. 3:7 Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses' face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end,
Gal 3:10 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them."

AcademyApologia the Ten Commandments have only ever shown us what sin is! Romans 7:7 says so. How then do we not sin? God said that we must choose not to sin, to rule over it (Genesis 4:7) Jesus is not unreasonable for Jesus said if you love Me you will keep My Commandments (John 14:15) to claim that you cannot obey Him is to support satan in His spurious doctrine as recorded in genesis 3. Satan lied to Eve causing her to question God’s honesty and goodness. He told her she would not die for disobeying God but she did die. Satan’s doctrine of the immortal soul is a lie by which he murdered mankind.

They are living in two covenants. Law and grace. Not faith alone. Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith, apart from the deeds of the law. The Law could never save us. The Law was given to show us we are sinners and cannot keep the law to bring us to salvation by grace.
Galatians 2:21 I do not void the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect to you whosoever of you are justified by the law, you have fallen from grace.

If we accept Bible as the book inspired by God we have to obey all the words which is written in it. Satan knows the Bible also do you know that?we have to be careful .ten commandments is like a mirror which shows us the sin and shows us what we have to do. So the seven-day Adventist is the only the true church as is the church which respect ten commandments and have the faith like Jesus.if you read well the Bible there is verses which explain what mean the faith of Jesus it said is the prophecy so there no other church who teach the prophecy except seventh day Adventist. Even if some members of seventh day adventist don't respect God as it must be ,it doesn't matter the seventh day adventist will continue to be the truth church. You are saved by grace and not by works. Does this mean we will continue sinning because we are saved. Of course not! "Faith without works is dead." And Jesus always said while he is still here on Earth, "your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more." Obeying the Will of God specifically the 10 commandments is the fruit of your faith and love to God because of what he did. Any relationship requires constant work including your relationship with God otherwise it's gonna be a dead relationship.
And NO, you will not go to hell, because you don't observe the 4th commandment. Who are we to judge you? It's between you and God already. Just remember that God said: If you love me, keep my commandments. And that's the reason why I'm saying it's between you and God - because to love God is not to force someone to do his will. You have to do it out of love.

As a cult promoting ancient laws of Israel dressed up as Christianity.
None today are under an ancient covenant of law to God as was ancient Israel and even that law was made obsolete by "the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" -- in a word > Love.
Love and Law are mutually exclusive.
Law is a compulsion not to commit an offence because of the threat of punishment if one does.
Love is its own compulsion---to freely do what is right because doing what is right is the loving thing to do. Indeed, Love delights in doing what is right. Love is its raison detre (reason, or justification). Thus, Love is its own reward.

The writing of Ellen G white is also considered Church doctrine. 2 John Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. All man/woman-made Religious Doctrine is very dangerous as it's not found nor supported in the bible.(Jesus Is The Word) So it's really nothing more the human wisdom and its man/women ordained not God-ordained. We're commanded to be followers of Christ Jesus and be apart of His church! His Body/ His Bride. God bless you all and I love you all. Let us seek the real truth and live and walk in the Spirit. Amen. As Jesus said I'm the way the truth and the life and no man/woman can come/go to the Father but through me !! He meaning Jesus is the narrow way!! The Only way and He never told us to be apart of anything that man/woman made. As humanity is fallen and Jesus came that we might have true life and become Born Again through the Spirit and receive eternal life through Him / Jesus and through Him alone. Bro. Todd

Unless our doctrine includes ALL SCRIPTURE (2Timothy 3:16) we are not true Christians. Moreso that we do NOT interpret *true* scripture KJV or 1611 by implying that it means anything other than the exact words written therein, IN CONTEXT, with ALL other scripture in the entire Bible. We need to understand that the Bible ALONE is God's inspired WORD, ...not those of our favourite Christian author's or church founders, and so on. It is idolization, when such people are literally preached from the pulpits in our churches, ...the only one's who should be exhalted on our pulpits, is God the Father, His son Jesus Christ our savior, and the Holy Spirit, from God's WORD, the Holy Bible.🙏

I go to an Old Apostolic Lutheran Church ... I'm not entirely comfortable with them claiming Lars Levi Lestadius is their apostle. He was quite the missionary, but they get mighty close to elevating him, and the current elders in Lapland, to the point they interpret the Bible for the congregation, much like Catholic priest/Pope do. They paint all other churches/denominations as having dead faith. They don't come right out and say it, but they believe their church is the only one. Awesome people, for the most part.

It shows signs of being a cult but is just really really wrong on many things and Ellen G white is a false prophet. I do believe you can be truly saved even if you are SDA but you will have to be a really bad SDA member. You can be a good Christian and a bad SDA, meaning you will have to stick to the Bible only and stay away from White's teachings, which is hard to do since she is a central figure in their teachings, so in conclusion, it's better to get out of that church and just be a simple Bible- believing non-denominational follower of Christ.

The "spirit" (principle) "of law" is one of bondage. It is "bondage" because law is a regime of performance and one that speaks to the performance-driven ego which in its self-deceptive and thus disfunctionality, ever seeks recognition and reputation (self-glory) possessed independent of and in separation from Spirit (God). It is a "glory" it never ceases to pursue because "glory" through law is a human delusion.... It leads to spiritual inefficiency which the bible, in typical hyperbole, calls "sin and death" (hence, "law of sin and death"--Rom 8:2).
By contrast, "spirit" (principle) "of life" is one of freedom. It is "freedom" because the "spirit of life" is the essence of Spirit of God and Spirit of God equally is Spirit of Love, and where Love is, the principle of law is transcended. In the presence of Love the performance-driven ego is shed instantly. This is why, "the law of the spirit of life (in Christ Jesus) set you, as a Jew, "free from the law of sin and death" (Rom 8:2) -- that is, until you realized your inherent union through Spirit, with "the spirit of life" in God.
SDAs (and EGW) teach not the "new way" of life, but the "old way" of death.

I'm an SDA and believe in keeping God's commandments His laws not because I believe keeping them saves but out of love and respect. I believe Ellen White to be a prophet and a teacher I do not worship her she is a human just like Paul and Peter who were disciples of God. I believe that the SDA church has biblical truths. And I have been to many churches searching for the truth and found it in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The new covenant is Jesus becoming our priest we no longer have an earthly priest but a heavenly one.
Even Jesus Christ kept the commandments of His Father.
“If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:17-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
God's law existed at the beginning of creation, it is his laws that he wrote with His Finger. Every country has it's own laws and God's Kingdom has its own laws. Again the old covenant of an earthly priest or sacrificing animals for our sins was done away with When Jesus Christ died for our sins he abolished that. We have a heavenly Priest who shed His blood for us on the cross.
“For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus is our high priest who is holy and undefiled from sin our new Covenant. Jesus Christ is our Salvation.

Was atonement finished at the cross,no.It started at the cross and extended to the heavenly sanctuary where Christ is applying the benefits of His blood and is mediating as the high priest on our behalf. Is Ellen G.White the leader of the Adventist movement? No.She is a prophet , divinely inspired with the gift of spirit of prophecy. The SDA is the typical movement described in Rev.12:17-The Remnant characterized by keeping the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ which is the spirit of prophecy (Rev 19:10).We do not keep God's commandments to earn salvation, but because we are saved.John 14:15-"If you love Me,keep My commandments "...His love constraineth us.Finally, should women speak in church? Yes.The context in the book of Corinthians should not be applied to justify why women should not speak in church. Should women be ordained as ministers/pastors?NO!Nowhere in the Bible were women ordained as priests. Were there women prophets in the Bible,YES.That said, stop insulting E.G White by saying she would have been better if she stayed home and cooked corn bread.

The best people to ask the question "Is SDA a cult?" would be those who have left the denomination and listen to their reasons for leaving. The SDA gospel is a muddled-up, confusing gospel that adds to the simplicity of the gospel outlined by the apostle Paul in I Corinthians 15:1-5.
EGW believed in a man made jesus that was to return in1843/44. She believed in William Miller apposed to the teachings of Jesus Christ on His own return. She rejected the command of God to "Listen to Him (Jesus at the transfiguration story)". So be on the safe side, I'd run a mile from SDAism.

So you ask those alone who hate the SDA doctrine and people. We do not add to the Gospel or take away from the Gospel. Many today take away the teachings of Paul that love leads to following Jesus. Who held up the law in Matthew 5.
1John 2:1-4 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1John 2:3,4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
1John 5:2,3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
2John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

I'm pretty sure the Adventist Church teaches that it is your personal relationship that really matters. If a person needs to ask if they are saved even though they don't want to do the things God asks us to do... It's not what they are doing that matters.
God looks at man's heart and mind... While man looks at what he sees on the out side... Those things man is doing.
In the day Jesus returns there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
People will say to themselves they did all kinds of good things for God.
Jesus said he will say to those people that he does not know them and will not accept them into His Kingdom.
These people are people of works and do not care about what God wants.
In a relationship as long as each individual cares to know what the other wants, likes, and cares about and attends to those things the relationship continues in good standing.
When a relationship is about doing things on what an individual wants themselves then the relationship cannot succeed.
Adventists are about developing a correct caring relationship with God. Adventists are not about legalism but about involved relationship.
To be in an involved relationship with God means that we need to seek from God what we should do.

      @Bradly Everett,
Roman Catholicism is Mithraism--the pagan religion of the Persians. Their doctrines are not all Biblical, but based upon the sayings and traditions of men. That tricorn hat the pope wears is what the priests wear that worship the fish god Dagon--it's called a "fish mitre" hat. They are steeped in Paganism and the Bible has quite a lot to say about the papacy--it is in fact the Anti-Christ, which is what all the Protestant reformers including Martin Luther taught.
However, I do not speak of fine individual Catholic people because the Bible is not taught to them, and most love God according to the best light they have. They will come out of Babylon when they hear the call.

The reply to your statement that “there is no saved by works” is true, however SDAs modify that statement with their extra-Biblical belief in the “Investigative Judgement”. With the Investigative Judgement Doctrine, once a person genuinely becomes a Believer, a “Recording Angel” is appointed to that individual, and that Angel records “in the most fine detail” the good and the bad which that person has done, after their initial repentance. Upon death, that person is laid into the ground (does not go directly to heaven), and awaits the Resurrection at the end of time. (So there are NO Believers in heaven right now.) They eventually stand before God the Father - without an Advocate! - and the Recording Angel reads off the list of offenses vs the things done to that person’s credit. If the scale tips against that person’s good deeds, they do NOT proceed to heaven, but are sent to Hell, where they are instantaneously “annihilated” (burned up, into oblivion). According to EGR, NOBODY can be assured of their entrance into heaven, until that moment.
The problem with this extra-Biblical doctrine is threefold:
      1. Grace is no longer Grace alone - the individual is responsible for “qualifying” (by his subsequent works/actions) as to whether they deserve to enter heaven.
      2. This renders Christ’s finish work on the cross (“It is finished!”) as incomplete; and the adherent must add enough positive “points” to merit their entrance into heaven. This alone disqualifies SDA doctrine as heretical, as “another doctrine” which is accursed (Gal 1).
      3. EGW is flatly wrong when she strong, strongly suggests that a professing Believer cannot know whether they are on their way to heaven. (1 John 5:13 KJV): “These things are written ... that you may know that you have eternal life.”
There is a lot of valid teaching within the SDA church, however, by postulating an extra-Biblical doctrine on something as critical as the Doctrine of Salvation, it creates baggage which was never intended in the pure Christian message.

I am in NO way trying to say that what I'm going to ask is true or right. I have been told by Advent members that Jesus didn't die on the Cross but was asleep and woke up. I've been told that they do not believe anyone goes to heaven when they die but instead, they sleep in the grave. The Bible says "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord " I was also told by this same group that Jesus is on a 2nd mission where you have to do works to get into Heaven. If this is what they believe, then I do not agree with them. Ellen White was not a prophet; this church was started the way a cult is started Imo.

You're right Sophia. It's all a smokescreen cover up for the mistakes of the past. EG White is a false prophet and a Theosophist who was a contemporary of Blavatsky. These people don't know who they are following or why, because all of the legalistic measures put in place since 1844 plus their revisionist history has blinded them as to the true origins and nature of the SDA movement. There may well be true believers within their ranks but they need to leave behind the false prophecy and errant teachings and come out of that false church and fully embrace the FINISHED work of Jesus Christ. Nothing less will do.

Teri Fish death is a sleep. You do sleep when you die. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 says, " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." See also John 11:11-15. In 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 Paul refers to the righteous dead who will be resurrected to meet Christ in the air as being "asleep." Other scriptures describing death as sleep: 1 Corinthians 15: 17-18 & 20, 1 Thessalonians 4:14, Mark 5:35, 39 & 41.

Hi there, I would like to say for you to take no notice of these people. I also live in the UK and have had many "conversations" with them 🙄. There claims are beyond belief 😳😳 The pagan "Jesus" claim is the most ridiculous. They claim "Jesus" or Je-sus in latin means earth pig 😳. When in reality Latin has NO letter J 🤣🤣 and "earth" in Latin is (Terra)(Tellus)(Mundus) depends on how the word is being used. I have literally shown them the latin dictionary on this point.
      "Jesus" means God is Salvation.
The only thing you can GIVE them is that "Joshua" is a better translation/transliteration of "Yeshua" "Iesus" to English from Latin Than "Jesus".
The two words have the exact same meaning, Linguistically speaking.
      Acts 4:12
For there is NO other name under heaven given among men by which we MUST be SAVED
      2 Tim 2:15

      Hope this helps 🙏 ✝️

The bible says in Philippians 2: 12,13 (KJV) '...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh IN you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Salvation is a work of cooperation between God and the sinner who is willing to surrender and come to Christ.

Furthermore, you admit that they believe in another gospel other than the one and only way to the Father which is through Jesus Christ. If anyone preaches another gospel, have nothing to do with them. They also believe that Michael the archangel is Jesus which is not correct as angles are created beings and Jesus is the son of God. They obviously believe in another Jesus.

With all due respect, I have to say your statement is a cursory judgement on the sda church.
I think you are trying to be fairminded, but it seems that you have tied your hands by not looking at the writings of E G White, Especially the Desire of Ages, Steps to Christ, Christ's Object Lessons in particular.
In any church there are those who are more mature in faith and have deep roots in The Word of God, and some who are babes, who are growing slower than others, and many more are in the midstream of spiritual growth, and The Lord watches over all and He is patient beyond measure in the face of our struggles to learn to trust Him completely.
The same will be true of the church right before Christ returns. And by the power of the Holy Spirit hearts will be drawn to the truth as never before. There will also be many who prefer to take the Bible as a cafeteria, and pick and choose their belif system based on preference, comfort, and personal opinion. This is the most dangerous ground we can be standing on.
And we have only to understand one concept to be able to choose the correct path, If it's of God, I want it, and if its not of God I don't want it.
That teaching was made very clear throughout Ellen Whites writings.
She has been a major blessing to my life as well as millions of others. Changed my life and taught me to come to Jesus just as I was, and to let Him get to work on the refining process I need to be ready to meet Him when He returns. My part us the trust and surrender, His part is the rest.
I know I cannot be saved by my own righteousness, because I have none. But the good news is His sacrifice is abundant in Grace enough to wash me, rebuild me according to His plan, and to dwell within me by His beautiful Holy Spirit.
And, I have to say, Thank You Jesus for not letting that humble, wise and faithful lady be led to stay at home and make cornbread rather than putting her life in your Hands to be used to bless and instruct so many of us who needed her words at the right place and in the right time. Amen
I would that you might be blessed in your growth and study, as none of us are fully grown up yet. We still have quite a ways to go yet.
    Thank you for reading this.
    One if the redeemed

What is so fascinating is that you say that you have had SDA’s come there and never once said they were women yet you suggest that the church is a feminist organisation which is not Truth but since you can find noting to condemn SDAs because our doctrine is the bible, you clutch at straws, attempting to sooth the itching ears for you said upfront that you had hoped not to have to face this question... you should have kept your response to Truth and no5 speculation for even Jesus said... in Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.
Another book was opened, which is the book of life.
***The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.***
Is this not the way all courts do it here on earth? Do they not investigate what has been done and thereafter pass judgement then sentencing? Yes they do! But you dare to tread underfoot this fact presented by Christ which is named investigative judgement for what it is, investigation and judgement- Jesus says that when He returns, He brings His reward with Him... that states that He will already have judged the people and only those whose names are found in His book of Life will be saved!

In at least one way, my evaluation of Seventh-day Adventists is similar to that of Michael Pearl, namely that there are Seventh-day Adventists who are cultists and Seventh-day Adventists who are not cultists.
I’m a Seventh-day Adventist who believes Jesus is divine and existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit from all eternity. To me the question of whether the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father or from the Father and the Son is a silly question.
At the same time, there are Seventh-day Adventists who believe that Jesus is the Son of God in the sense that the Father exited before the Son.
I’m a Seventh-day Adventist who believes justification (God’s forgiveness) is only by grace and only through faith. God’s grace is the source and means of justification. Our faith is the conduit or vehicle of God’s grace (i.e. God’s grace is not received through sacraments) and our faith is, itself, a gift of God’s grace. (Faith is the evidence of things not seen.)
I’ve been a voting member of about a dozen SdA congregations in about a half-dozen states (U.S.) and I have yet to meet an adventist who denies the doctrine of justification by grace through faith.
My SdA parents promoted the doctrine of the primacy of scripture. I do too. When I was fourteen, my parents held “discussions” with LdS (Mormon) missionaries. When I realized that the missionaries considered other things than the Bible to be “scripture”, I explained the doctrine of the primacy of scripture to they by calling it “the principle of prior reference” - the principle that anything purported to be special revelation should be evaluated and interpreted by older revelation. Most of the differences between my beliefs and the beliefs of other professed Christians can be traced to their attempt to interpret the Hebrew Bible by the Greek additions to the Bible while I try to interpret the Greek additions (the Gospels, the Epistles and the Apocalypse) by the older Hebrew parts of the Bible.
Some Seventh-day Adventists are inclined to try to interpret the Bible by modern revelation.
Some (many?) Seventh-day Adventists are misinformed about the origins and development of the nineteenth-century advent movement. Much of that misinformation has come from other adventists!
There are three things about the early nineteenth century that can be helpful in understanding the origins of the advent movement.
1: Many protestants believed Bible prophecy could not be understood.
2: Many protestants believed the Bible in general and Bible prophecy in particular should be understood as primarily or entirely allegorical, i.e. that it should not be taken literally.
3: Protestants who preferred to take the Bible literally used the historicist method of Bible interpretation that protestants had used since the sixteenth century. The dispensationalist/futurist method would remain virtually unknown to them until the early twentieth century. (The historicist method is based on the premise that Christianity is the true continuation of the religion of the Hebrew patriarchs and prophets of antiquity and that, therefore, prophecies about Israel and promises to Israel will be fulfilled to or through the Christian church. The dispensationalist/futurist method is based on the premise that the church replaced Israel as the object of the Lord’s supreme regard but only temporarily, i.e. that a time will come in the “future” (hence the name, futurist) when the prophecies about Israel will be fulfilled to or through the Hebrew people.)
4: In the United States of that era, there was a popular eschatology that the second advent of Jesus would occur AFTER a thousand years of peace and increasing prosperity, during which thousand years the whole world would be converted.
William Miller was never a Seventh-day Adventist. He was a deist when he decided to read the Bible, starting with Genesis. Sometime between 2016 and 2018, he got as far as Daniel 8 verse 14. Presumably, he carefully studied the rest of the King James translation over the next several years but Daniel 8:14 makes a reference to the cleansing of the “sanctuary”. Miller assumed (as did almost everyone else in the early nineteenth century) that the sanctuary to be cleansed was the earth. Miller supposed that the cleansing of the Earth was a reference to the second advent of Jesus. Miller’s calculations brought him to the conclusion that the 2300 days of Daniel 8:14 would end “about 1843”. So yes, Miller “believed” Jesus would return in the nineteenth century. There is some evidence, however, that he was not dogmatic about it.
By 1843, there were at least 174 ministers who agreed with William Miller that the 2300 days of Daniel 8:14 would end about the year 1843. About half were methodists. About a fourth were baptists. Several of the ministers who were the most active in promoting that interpretation were members of the Christian Connexion. But there were also congregationalists, presbyterians, Lutherans, quakers and others.
Thousands of laity were persuaded that Jesus would return about 1843. Sometimes laity are not careful in their theology. Laity sometimes think they “understand” an idea but, because they haven’t studied the evidence for themselves they sometimes wax dogmatic about things they don’t understand very well.
I suspect that may have happened in the 1830s and early ‘40s. Christian denominations exist because the Lord has called some people to emphasize some aspects of Bible truth and he has called some other people to emphasize some other or some additional aspects of truth. I wasn’t there but I suspect there were methodists, baptists and others who heard about the idea that Jesus would return about 1843 - maybe even went to meetings where that idea was being explained - but then astonished the brethren in their local congregations by emphasizing that idea more than the doctrines that their friends were accustomed to emphasizing. When they persisted in implying that the return of Jesus was more important to them than other doctrines, they were voted out.
In August of 1844, Samuel Snow introduced the idea that, if the typical cleansing of the “sanctuary” (the portable temple built shortly after the Exodus from Egypt) was on the tenth day of the seventh month of the callander the Lord had given his people, it seemed likely that the “cleansing” prophesied in Daniel 8:14 would also occur on that day of the year.
Practicing Hebrews have a variety of ways of determining when each biblical month begins and ends but, by one of those methods of calculation, the tenth day of the biblical month coincided, in 1844, with the date of October 22.
I think Samuel Snow was right to think that the cleansing of the “sanctuary” was somehow related to the close of the 2300 days of Daniel 8:14 but, in 1844, even Mr. Snow still considered the earth to be the sanctuary to be cleansed.
After October 22, 1844, William Miller and others continued to think the second advent of Jesus was “near”. (I’m 75 and I still expect Jesus to return in my lifetime.) In February of 1846, O.R.L Crosier, with the help of two of his friends, published a paper explaining what he and his friends understood the cleansing of the sanctuary to be. It can be found online by searching for “Day Star Extra”.
I think I agree with the basic premise of that paper. (More about which if anyone is interested.) The problem is that some Seventh-day Adventists have taken that basic idea and “developed” it into a number of teachings with which I disagree. From my perspective, it is those adventists who tend to a) emphasize works more than grace, b) promote adventist literature more than the Bible and c) denounce anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
    Are those adventists cultists?
I don’t want to resort to name-calling but I think if you were to speak with some of those adventists for more than a few minutes, you would be likely to think of them as cultists.

    • @AcademyApologia

Labeling Adventists a cult is not my concern. Any and I repeat any Adventist who believes the core teaching of Adventism is not a Christian. Adventists promote a false Jesus and a false gospel.
Adventists need to leave this false religious system and run to the Jesus of the Bible.

Being a Christian is much more then the world takes it to be. Some feel they are saved by the simple act of going to church on whatever day they assume is the sabbath. Most DO NOT realize the 'meaning ' of Christian. You could actually never set foot in a church/synagogue and still be saved by the Grace of God. I would point to many 'foxhole' conversions. This bickering over words is not mercy or grace but mostly just wanting to be right(correct). I am sure there are Saved souls in the Roman church, no thanks to all their ritual, but to Christ and the atonement. Everything else is frosting and only Christ and His amazing Grace is what is needed.

My sincere question to you sir is. Where in the Holy scriptures does it say you can keep any day of choice holy rather than the seventh day. If you or any other self proclaimed Christian could produce such evidence from the Bible, the only means of salvation, you would be as knowledgeable as you think 🤔 you sound. We should not be given anyone biblical advice if we don’t understand or should I say rather comprehend the plain thus says the Lord for ourselves. We are all limited to our own understanding of the scriptures. And as such when we are asked questions that we are not qualified to answer. We should refer those humbly to someone who is. At that point you are not spreading the Gospel, you are spreading deceit because people are accepting something based on dishonesty.
