Vlog #48 this was definitely an amateur week *sometimes*

  • I was the rookie this week!!!!!! it was my first time cutting chickens. I was one of the younger girls up till now, which means my job only required me to pack and get them up to our walk in freezer.
Now that I'm one of the older ones I have to start cutting and I was definitely nervous about it although towards the end I think I did good. i have to add usually we only cut to two girls this time around we had two new machines so we had the help of our head cook, my grandpa and one of our older guys.
just in case you're wondering we do have a tart press to make tarts but, not everyone uses it, it's a personal preference. oh yes I am new to making tarts.

A big Hello to your mom! We sometimes hear her in the background🙂. Could you ask her about an off camera interview to tell us the changes she has seen in the community since she was a girl? Like- age young people marry, celebrations, clothing, food, rules, jobs, age of retirement. Jobs elder members do. Thank you!

it takes some people an entire lifetime to realize which pursuits are in vain. I just really love how productive you are, and I truely and sincerely hope you are feeling happy and content. Others are sometimes confused about these rules you follow, or amazed by how much you produce, but I can see that there is great peace in routine and structure and accountability to community. Keep your head up miss, you are doing great 👍 ❤

@@gisellewaldner9406 I feel like a conduit for the encouragement. What I know for certain and feel compelled to share (not sure why), but your hard work, the ability to push through, your modesty, and your dedication, these are qualities that make you infinitely more appealing as a young woman than any half naked pop start beauty queen. I wasn't encouraging you to keep going in terms of videos, but rather so that you, being one piece of your communities puzzle, never falls out of place, because the picture would not be complete.
And now, having made the most awkward comment humanly possible😅...I will refrain from saying any more for a while....keep going Giselle and may you find contentness every day! 😁😁

I'm just wondering how old the Colony is and the population, cause of them building that beautiful big shop, and spring was one of the best time of year , especially around easter time, first monday after good friday, as kids everybody grabbed an mty bucket fill them up with water and look for gofer holes ,enjoy you're visit with you're cousins

Giselle, may I suggest that you rub vaseline all over your hands before you go to bed one night and wear cotton crew socks over them to protect you bed covers .
My Husband has some problems with his hands and this works well.

@@glenhelmuth738 Hutterites language is a mixture of Bavarian/Austrian and Russian. probably sprinkled with a bit of Romanian, it all came from their migration routes. Mennonites/Amish language have more to do with Plattdeitsch (Northern German dialekt of Dutch) but again it got influenced over the time and journey as well. Some Mennonites travelled alongside the Hutterites to Russia as well, hence the influence from Russian language.
