    I want thank you, your family, and your community for sharing your lives with us on RUclips. I'm not sure I would be comfortable with that myself and I know it's not easy and alot of work to make the videos. Thank you so much!
    My mother's family were Mennonite and German Brethern but my fathers were not so I wasn't raised in community which makes me sad. They did instill in me a love for working and cleaning though!

I desire to have less of the world and strive for it. So thank you for sharing because it does bless me to see such peace and calm in the midst of a crazy world around us. God bless.

Cheers to Austin und Hanna and big thanks to them as well as those girls who sometimes shortly appear on camera on behals of all subscribers. I subscribed to your channel about 2 months ago.I can not remember how it was even came up on my recommendations, because I am a woman drummer in a rock n roll band (and i can not see how your vlog would pertain to what I usually look up on youtube) but Im so glad it did.I enjoy your videos more than what I ACTUALLY look at on youtube.Your vlogs are quite fascinating, lovely,and awesome.I have seen many people post about your time away from the colony. I also see people asking about the meaning of your tattoo.I am covered in tattoos head to toe and they all mean something very special to me.Most are silly and fun and colorful and non offensive because I enjoy people asking about them. Many yrs ago I visited a family member in Montana and went to a Huterite Colony.My hair was bright purple(again I play music for a living) and the children giggled and were suprised by my appearence.But very respectful and cute.None of them spoke english, So I couldnt really communicate that well.But a man translated between us.Anyhow I apologize for making this post way longer than it should be.My questions are why did you leave?Why did you come back?What is your opinion on changing your appearence, what is your opinion on women who chose to take on jobs/roles, usually only acceptable for men? Again.I love your vlogs I hope I didnt offen nor insult you.

    • @gisellewaldner9406
      @gisellewaldner9406  3 года назад +4

      oh no worries you didn't offend me I find what you told me quite interesting and you being a women in a rock n roll band wow! that's fascinating. I want to talk about tattoos in a video because I want to go in depth and explain everything but, even though tattoos are frowned upon on a colony I have always liked them I guess I see it as expressing myself in way. and I am so glad that you enjoy the vlogs it means a lot to me.

      @@gisellewaldner9406 Thank you so much for responding. And thank you for understanding i wasnt trying to intrude or be offensive in anyway to you, your religious beliefs nor your colony.Since Social media became a big deal. I have had to deal with some pretty hateful unkind comments from many people(I mean on youtube because my work is all over it).So I do have 2 follow up questions.1 Do you ever get disrespectful people commenting on you vlog? And 2 if you do, how do you deal with that? My band gets A LOT. And some opinions are quite hurtful.Again.Your vlog is awesome.I wish you and yours nothing but love

      Hey, a girl drummer! I played snare in high school. I never read music, just the rhythm. I memorized everything in those district competitions if it involved marimba or bells. Yep. I played in college band also (a TINY band, tiny college). My band director let me take a trap set home one summer. That is when I learned REAL respect for drummers. Every limb going every way at just the right time. Rock on Girl! Karen Carpenter is my fav girl drummer.

    Just a couple of comments:- First up your dog reminds me of our late dog. Spitting image. Here Boff's breed was "Huntaway", but I see dogs like Boff everywhere. Huntaways are working dogs and have a big bark when working. Boff was such a loving dog, a great companion. My second comment is to confess that I used to disapprove most strongly of the religious upbringing of children. I saw it as "mind control". But the world I live in now also does mind control. It controls opinions and our right to have information. So see no way to criticise the Hutterite and others system. That said, your communities appear to equip you all very well for life and to make it through tough times better than most. Your life seems safer and I see many more smiles around in your videos. From another Hutterite video (BBC) I understand that Hutterite women can have as many children as they like - where-as outside in the world now, such tough difficulties arise that many couples don't have children at all. Its likely they both have to work long and hard for money to afford children - children are our future. I wrote this, because it occurred to me that visiting "The World" isn't the same as staying there long term. I cannot imaging the grass is greener outside you Colonies than inside. Love your videos. Good luck.

      no no religious reasons we prefer the short sleeves. years ago they would wear long sleeves in winter as an extra layer but, a lot of us just find them uncomfortable so we like short over long.

    Hi Giselle so nice to see your way of life! Yes, I have many?'s about your time away from the colony!! Firstly, where is it? I actually have an endless array of questions on my mind, lol. I'll start with the basics! Do you know anything else other than living in a colony? Is it a loving & supportive community? Can you get together w other girls/women from the colony and leave to get a coffee or a meal? Is there a colony education system or is it a 'family'endeavor? So interesting!! I support this way of living, I'm thinking it's a great support system. What do you do if you're in need of a veterinarian, or a Dr?
