You can use nettles as a fertiliser put about one inch of nettles in pieces at the bottom of a bucket and fill it up with water let it be for a week stir it once or twice a day then you mix it 1 to5 once a week

I use a lot of nettle in my shampoo or for a rinse but I have never made it into a drink. I use a lot of mullein leaves for respiratory issues and the flowers in an oil for ear aches.
and I have never thought of adding it as a rinse, and thank you for the Mullen tip we also use it for respiratory problems but I have never heard of the ear aches before
We grew up on fiddleheads. We would pick about 20 lbs every spring and freeze them for the winter. Here in New Brunswick, fiddleheads are a main stay. They really go great with fish, especially with Atlantic salmon.

I’m late watching today, busy with outside work 😊. Giselle you do your community proud by showing us the work that is done on your colony and you do it in a respectful way. Those raspberry canes are horrible to clean up, I use garden pruners to cut out the dry canes and it saves my hands. Get yourself a pair, they are so handy and not too expensive. The flowing water in the creek is so calming, thank you for sharing 😊🌺🙏

I have two kids with seasonal allergies. They take stinging nettle capsules daily. 1 to 4 a day as needed. All spring/summer long. It isn't 100% on the HIGH pollen days but it does help a lot.

I live in Florida and have had issues with allergies since I moved here. I'll buy local honey and take a couple of tablespoons everyday to help with my immune response. About those red scratches, after you wash them well, try over the counter 1% Hydrocortisone cream to calm the inflammation. Should help with the pain too. I'm not really sure of all the places that stinging nettle grows, if you have a climate and weather that is similar to ours there is a chance that you would have it.

That’s a great question - we always plant garlic in the fall as well. I wonder, do you leave it in the ground for a whole year?
I'm not sure, we planted last fall but this is the fist time we did it in spring so maybe next year we will harvest it 😊

I would love to see the numbers of plants that are in the garden. How many garlic cloves did you plant, how many raspberries are on the colony. Love seeing garden and canning activities

I have two kids with seasonal allergies. They take stinging nettle capsules daily. 1 to 4 a day as needed. All spring/summer long. It isn't 100% on the HIGH pollen days but it does help a lot.

oh yes, I would say that we are behind with planting, I am mental preparing myself for it being a lite year with the veggies but then it might also not be, if we get enough heat..who knows 😊

What an interesting video! Thank you!! I look forward to seeing the progress of the garden as summer progresses. Another good thing for allergy control is local honey. I live in Florida and have had issues with allergies since I moved here. I'll buy local honey and take a couple of tablespoons everyday to help with my immune response. I was wondering if you and Kona ever come across bears during your walks?

About those red scratches, after you wash them well, try over the counter 1% Hydrocortisone cream to calm the inflammation. Should help with the pain too. I wonder if we can get stinging nettles in South Louisiana USA. Might need to try drinking the grass tasting stuff for my allergies. Maybe the chocolate marshmallows would be good in hot coffee. I'm not really sure of all the places that stinging nettle grows, if you have a climate and weather that is similar to ours there is a chance that you would have it.
