As your channel grows there are more people that might not understand the ways of the Hutterite community, how lovely of you to take the time to answer questions and concerns. I hope that as people subscribe they will go and watch all of your videos, there is so much information and each one is beautiful, educational, funny and filled with love. You are truly a special young woman and I sincerely love watching your videos. Sending big hugs to you! 💕💕

I passed through an Amish community near London, Ontario with my children. My daughter asked a beautiful young mother if she was missing out in the world. She was carrying her son and then she told my daughter, God, my husband, children, family, in-laws and community is her world. She held my daughter's hand and told her once you understand love you will know what I mean. Many years later my now married daughter often talks about that meeting and how much it impacted her life.

I had similar ideas as the assumptions you read when I first started watching you. All because of what others said who do not take the time to learn the truth. After watching all of your videos, you have resolved my false assumptions and taught me your culture. Now one of my favorite YT creators, you inspire, teach and entertain me. Thank you.

Everything I've learned so far about the Hutterite Life Style is so beautiful to me! My grandmother was born in an Amish Mennonite home. I was raised Methodist.
Amish/Mennonite faiths are so strong and the people taught to be compassionate toward each other, not seen often enough these days. Where is the praise of God?.
I've spent years learning everything I can about my family history and those wondeful religions.
When I came across your channel I became interested in the Hutterite's way of life. I've since read many books and online articles and videos. I am an avid fan of yours.
While I can see where it might not be everyone's cup of tea for various personal reasons, for me with my own strong Christian beliefs, the Hutterite Colony life feels like the best Society.
I wonder how different my life would have been and how different it would be today had I been born into a Colony. Of course, at 65 with aging disabilities it's in all likelihood too late for me to experience that life first hand.
I want you to know how much I appreciate the positivity and hope for the future you bring into my life by sharing a way of living I didn't even realize existed! There really are places where people live successfully and communal under the rules of Christianity!
Thank you again. I look forward to watching your videos. God bless you and your Colony. I love that dogs never seem to know when they have outgrown the size to be lapdogs! So sweet and comforting our pets can be.

Something in the RUclips algorithm suggested your channel. I consider myself quite well read and I had never heard the word Hutterite before. I at first thought it was a mineral I had never heard of. Now I am learning something new. I must tell you that I have seen many different youtube videos, but I am astonished at what I would call your artistic cinematography. Subject and settings are always visually intriguing, and the joy and humor are refreshing. Keep it up. And I have worked as a professional baker off and on for the past 25 years and you are good at that too.

When our young family lived in Germany 86-90, I noticed they used marzipan not just in food but also for making Christmas decorations. Delish and Ritter was one of my fav German choccy brands.
So happy you did a quick Q n A. It is interesting to hear what other people assume about other cultures. Especially if they try to project their own ideas on yours.
Do people really think you would have a RUclips channel, so well thought out and artfully crafted without freedom of individualism? I guess they will have to figure it out for themselves, but your answers were very mature and wise for such a young person. Soz about your friend not making the trip. 😵‍💫

Giselle, thank you for another window into your community life. You said you hadn't heard of marzipan before. It is simply ground almonds, water (a little) and powdered sugar to make a paste. It can be soft like in the Ritter chocolate or shaped into little fruits, or animals, for example, and painted with edible food colourings to be what you want it to look like and air dried until it is hard on the outside. It is a sweet that was invented in Germany, (der Marzipan) centuries ago, which is why I am surprised that you didn't know of it. I believe Hutterites originated in German speaking communities in Switzerland or Czechoslovakia? Please correct me if I'm in error😊 I love your interesting vlogs.

A little tear over the chocolate, that was my Dad's favorite. I used to fetch his newspaper at the weekend and treat him to the marzipan chocolate. Very popular in the part of Saxony he came from. Marzipan is made with ground almonds and icing sugar.
You remind me I must get some seeds planted. It snowed hard here on Thursday and is very cold again after some lovely sunny Spring days. Here in the UK we can get all seasons in one day sometimes. Sorry you didnt get together with your friend. Hope you get a visit soon.

You work for your community , growing your own food is so fulfilling . I had a huge garden ,I think women are drawn to the nurturing and creating aspect of gardening. When I went to bed tired from hard work it was a good feeling . I have lupus now and the tired is different and sucks. How does your communty deal with people who have something like lupus? I am sore and achy and can’t overdo , would I have easier tasks and less work hours ?

My husband and I have been looking at different greenhouses. But until then I think I’m going to start some seeds and prepare to grow some vegetables. I am an elder in the Presbyterian Church, and I’ve said many times before I find your community and your beliefs to be inspiring. I am glad that you are able to share your gifts and talents with so many people. I usually start on Thursday looking for your videos, and rest assured they are a treasure whenever they arrive. If I am feeling sad or blue I watch several of your videos and it lifts my spirits right up. If there’s ever anything I can do please let me know. Enjoy your week. Kona sitting in your lap is an indication that you are her person. She sees you as her mother figure. My dog Saffy Does the same thing with much enthusiasm often resulting in bruises. Our dogs love her so much, and that is a gift a treasure. Have a great week and stay warm, I think I am going to the beach tomorrow.

Thank you for always being so patient and understanding in answering our questions, Giselle. I really appreciate it, when it's almost impossible for you to tell whether someone is asking out of genuine curiosity or whether it's discrimination. I was one of those who asked the marriage question...because I genuinely LOVE learning about different cultures. I don't hate or criticize any culture that believes in some form of arranged marriage or that it is best to be married, or not. I just love observing and learning. You and I share the same God and faith...that's what truly matters.
    Love,
    Amanda.♥️🇨🇦

You are 100% right Giselle explaining about God seeing us as individuals. Our relationship with God is a personal one. The Word of God is our map and instruction. I have watched your vlogs everyone of them and by now I feel I know your heart and testimony and you shine with God's love ❤️!!

Your community is certainly different from what most of us live in but also free of so much of the stress! Most of us could certainly use more of a community feeling in our lives that you all have there. Maybe there is less options in what you can choose to do work wise but it appears to me that there is far less needs or concerns about how to make ends meet than we have. In my own life I chose a career because it allowed me to live the way I wanted. It does not define who I am. It appear to me that your community simply does the work needed to allow you to live as you have chosen according to your beliefs. Keeping to yourselves to avoid the distractions and problems in the outer world has its appeal to me.

I chose my job based on what my mind could handle and how much school I could afford. I find that not everyone can choose their occupation they want because they lack the education or scores on assessment exams to get into the education program. I did intake at a college and it was just sad. People got stuck doing jobs they hated. This is quite common.

Even though I have a university degree, I have to pay it back and it's 75K. My military service of 5 years only paid for 16K of schooling. So I don't make enough to live like I want. I would have to get married to have more income or help to pay for housing.

One of the highlights of my travels in the States was visiting with the Hutterite colony outside Harlan, MT for a week. Everyone I met was so warm and friendly with the meals simply being out of this world! I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend the Sunday service which they conducted in English for my benefit instead of the traditional Old German. As the years pass, my thoughts often run to them hoping all of them are doing well. It was their being on my mind so much lately that led me to your channel. Thank you for all you do here!! ❤️

It's great you take the time to answer questions because people get the answer straight from you instead of maybe thinking it's a different answer. When people don't know or don't understand is when prejudice happens so it's better to teach others the truth.
