- Larry Perkins' top 10 shootout lap for the 1986 James Hardie 1000. This would be Larry's first of many shootouts behind the wheel of his own Perkins Engineering built Holden Commodore's, this being his first chassis PE001.

This car was PE001, and it (and PE002) although built and raced by LP were actually owned by New Zealander Colin Giltrap who 'leased' them to LP. PE001's last race in LP's hands was the 1986 AGP support event. PE 001 was sold following the '86 AGP to Sprintcar racer Tony Noske, who raced it in the bright orange and yellow colours of Kalari Transport. It was then sold and converted back to a road car. it was last heard of belonging to Stuart Hayes, who had committed to restoring it back to PE001 spec

@Joe Shabidu nice I remember those days actually watching the racing everywhere on track and enjoying the track last time I went to a race no one left the seat all day lol With the big screen in front of them Constant ads for Shannon‘s car club
